About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I have two Bernedoodles, Cosmo and Shep, who are the loves of my life and have taught me so much about caring for dogs. From daily walks and playtime to keeping them happy, healthy, and comfortable, I’ve gained years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different personalities and energy levels. I’ll treat your dog with the same care, attention, and affection that I give my own. I currently work as a host in the evenings, which gives me flexibility during the day for dog walks and drop-in visits. I’m generally available throughout the week and love spending my free time with animals whenever I can. While I am unavailable on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I strive to be as available as possible on other days to provide reliable care, exercise, and attention for your pets. About: The Pet Whisperer: I have decades of experience both caring for AND owning pets; mainly cats and dogs. My first dog was already in the family when I was born; I don't know life without caring for a pet. Dog walks and cat play have always been a part of my lifestyle. Looking to carry my love of pets into caring for yours! I currently have flexibility in my schedule from 6:30 am - 10:30 pm seven days per week; ideally with advance notice especially for boarding and/or around holidays. If an opportunity arises where I am at my home with your pet, I have a fenced in backyard for outdoor play. Indoors I have several dog beds of varying sizes for your dog to feel comfortable and right at home and dog toys to enjoy (both of which get cleaned after every use dog visit)

About: Along with growing up with two dogs and helping to raise a puppy as a teenager, family friends and neighbors have relied on me to take care of their dogs and cats since I was ten. I've worked with all types of dogs, from Shih Tzus to Pit Bull mixes. I'm the one in my family who takes the dogs out on long hikes (or for short walks around the block once they get older), brushes their teeth and fur, gives them baths, and trims their nails. I'm a regular volunteer at cat shelters in cat care, and as a student on the pre-veterinary track, I have shadowed and volunteered at vet clinics to better understand the care that goes into your pets' health. Besides dogs and cats, I also have experience with a myriad of animals, such as hamsters, rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, mice, fish, hermit crabs, geckos, snakes, tortoises, and turtles. I have experience in preparing special diets for pets and other animals with specific health needs, and in senior dog care. Over the summer, I work at my internships in animal care for much of the work day, but that leaves afternoons, evenings, and early mornings for me to check in on your pets and give any care they need (breakfast/dinner, walks, baths, etc.). Over the school year, I will have more hours available to fit in more time with your pets (i.e. walking and bathing/grooming, more playtime, etc.). As a lover of all creatures, I take the safety of both pets and wildlife seriously. As such, I will always supervise pets that are outside in yards and keep them on leashes outside fenced-off areas so they are not a danger to others or themselves. If transporting pets in my car, I will keep them safe and secure in a carrier/crate. As a college student who has shared living spaces with new people before, I understand the importance of respecting others' belongings and boundaries. During drop-in visits, I will be sure to respect your home and any rules you may have for your comfort (i.e. no shoes in the house, specific dishes/silverware for pets only, general cleanliness, etc.).

I am comfortable with walking, feeding, playing, and making sure pets feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. I am reliable, patient, and truly enjoy spending time with animals, treating every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine as a student because I keep a consistent schedule and have dedicated time before and after classes for walks, visits, and feeding. I’m also usually more flexible on weekends, which allows me to spend extra time with pets. Since I enjoy being around animals and staying active, taking care of pets is something that easily fits into my day. When caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I always focus on keeping them comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. This includes feeding them on schedule, giving them fresh water, taking them on walks, and making sure they get plenty of playtime and attention. I also make sure they have a clean, safe, and calm environment where they can feel relaxed. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs, whether they need extra exercise, quiet time, or lots of affection, and I always keep owners updated so they know their pet is in good hands.
