About: My experience encompasses daily walks, meticulous feeding schedules, and recognizing subtle signs of distress. I prioritize creating a safe, loving, and stimulating environment, ensuring your pets feel secure and happy in your absence. My approach is tailored to each animal's unique needs, fostering a bond of trust and affection. I am going back to school to show my son it can still be done at my age. Your pets will fit into my schedule perrrfectly. I have a very loved 8 year old rescued cat that my son adores. Although I don't offer services at my home your pets will be loved and cared for like my own.
“Thanks so much Nikkita for taking Winnie out while I was gone! Nikkita came to meet Winnie the night before which was awesome to put my mind at ease as a new dog owner! She has great communication and was so sweet with Winnie 💕”

“Tricia is fantastic! This was our first time using her to walk our dog, and we couldn’t be happier. She showed up exactly on time and was immediately great with our black lab, Cooper. After just one hour with her, Cooper was listening to her better than he listens to us! You can tell she truly loves animals—she’s kind, patient, and clearly a pro. Cooper came back happy, well-exercised, and tired out, which is exactly what he needed. If you’re considering a new dog walker, I highly recommend Tricia. We will definitely be booking her again!”

About: I've been around dogs since I was a baby, from tiny Yorkies to big German Shepherds, and I currently have 2 dogs (one very silly Golden Retriever and one hyperactive mini Dachshund) at home. I'm equally comfortable with cats, having cat-sat before and now living with a long-haired Maine Coon mix. From goofy to chill, I can meet your pet where they're at. I'm currently in my gap year preparing for law school, and all my work is remote, so I have a very flexible schedule. Pet care fits perfectly between studying and writing essays, it's actually the perfect break for both me and a furry friend. I'm happy to work around your schedule, whether that's regular walks, drop-in visits, or something more flexible. For walks and check-ins, I always come prepared with everything I need, including extra supplies in case you're running low at home. I bring treats but always check with the owner first before giving anything to your dog. I'm well versed in choking procedures and pet CPR, and I'm capable of carrying (most) dogs if an emergency situation arises.

About: I have a 2-year old tuxedo cat named Nova and she is the very sweetest. I have lots of experience with dog sitting and caring for dogs through friends and family. Particularly I regularly helped out with my brother’s dog since she was a puppy and she just turned 13! I work full-time but I work close to home and work remote at least one day a week. Midday drop-ins would need time be scheduled in an advance but I have flexibility with mornings and evenings. I am usually free on weekends so lots more flexibility then. My cat is an indoor cat so she never goes outside. I clean her litter box in and around it every day so she can have a clean area always. When dropping in something I like to do is show affection to pets if they allow me. It’s important to drop in and check in but it’s just as important to show them some love too!
“Deirdre was very communicative and responded to my last minute request right away! Deirdre made sure to address any concerns and came right on time. My dog warmed up to her really quickly. Would highly recommend!”

About: I took care of my own dog since I was 4 years old, and taken care of my sisters’ dogs for the past three years. I also watched my boyfriend’s 4 cats while they were on vacation for a week. I’m currently working part time at the mall and find myself having a lot of free time that I would love to spend looking after animals. I provide feeding, walks, and play time. I will also of course be respectful of your home and any rules or guidelines that you may have.
About: I have been a Retriever mom (Golden & Labrador) all my life. I love them with all my heart, but I also understand they need discipline. I will make sure they will be well cared for. I work from home with flexible timings. I would have to make sure the dogs are ok with children(we have a 4-year-old) and our golden. We have a pretty big yard and live a block away from a park. I can take them for longer walks if needed. We usually do walks no matter the weather!
“Linh was so professional and patient with our pup. She responded quickly to messages in the app and then suggested setting up a meet & greet where she asked great questions about our dog’s routine and habits. Otter is a big dog and on top of that he’s a high energy dog and can be a lot to handle, but Linh was so sweet with him. We’ll definitely be asking Linh to come back to walk Otter!”

“Georgina is wonderful! Our 1 year old pup absolutely adored her, and she provided great updates and photos after each walk while we were away. We hope to work with Georgina again soon!”

“Nicholas was really friendly and on time! He was very good at handling Kona (who tends to jump) and was able to handle his pull-y nature. Very grateful for all of Nicholas’s help and I would not hesitate to ask for his services in the future.”

“Flexible, professional, excellent communication is Kianna’s business side. Creative, adventurous, intuitive, loving and warm is how Kianna is with our painfully shy rescue pup. Our pup Sally adores her. Kianna takes many photos of their time together ( which brightens my busy workdays!) and just took a beautiful video of the two of them - as their relationship has blossomed over the months - that I will save and cherish forever. Kianna is special! Thank you Kianna!”

About: Hi! I’m Yasmin, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I’ve never met an animal I didn’t love. I grew up on a farm, so being around animals has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From furry to feathery to scaly, they’ve always had a special place in my heart. Over the years I’ve had all kinds of pets, from hermit crabs and fish to cats and dogs, and I can’t wait to have even more when the time is right! Because I genuinely love animals, I’ve spent a lot of time learning about their care, behavior, and what helps them feel happy and safe. I know every pet is different, and I love getting to know their unique personalities. When I’m not spending time with my own pets, I work as a realtor, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for yours. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just having someone nearby, I’m happy to match their pace and make them feel comfortable while you’re away. I’d love the chance to meet you and your best friend! My goal is to make sure you can leave knowing they’re in loving, reliable hands and maybe make a new furry (or scaly!) friend along the way. 🐾 My schedule is pretty flexible! During the week, I’m typically available after 2:00 PM unless I have a work appointment scheduled. Since I’m a realtor, my schedule can vary from day to day, but I do my best to keep my calendar up to date and communicate any changes. Fridays and weekends are a little less predictable. Some weekends I’m completely available, while others I may be booked with work or personal plans. When I am available on weekends, it’s usually between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. If you have a specific date or time in mind, feel free to reach out! I’m always happy to see if I can make it work for you and your pet. 🐾 While I won’t be caring for pets in my own home, I’d be more than happy to care for them in yours! I know every pet has their own routine, personality, and needs, so I always appreciate detailed instructions. The more information you can share, the better I can make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and well-being will always be my top priorities. I’ll treat them with the same love, patience, and attention I’d give my own pets, and I’ll always keep you updated for extra peace of mind. When it comes to walks, I’m especially mindful during the summer months. I prefer walking dogs on grassy or shaded paths whenever possible, and if it’s too hot outside, I’ll adjust our plans to keep them safe. Hot pavement can burn paw pads, and dogs can overheat quickly, so I always prioritize their comfort and safety over sticking to a schedule.
“Alyssa did a great job walking my dog. This was a last minute request from my side, and she responded well. She arrived on time and was able to walk my dog around the neighborhood. She communicated well and performed services as expected. Will definitely recommend her for any dog walking services.”

“Sally was absolutely wonderful! We had just moved to the area and our dog was still adjusting to the move. I was worried about finding someone to look in and walk our dog while I was on vacation (and my husband is gone most the day) until I found Sally. Sally met our dog before caring for him and he immediately felt comfortable around her and wanted her to play. Sally is friendly, reliable and a great communicator. She sent regular updates with pictures and took excellent care of our dog. I had an enjoyable vacation knowing our dog was happy and in great hands. I will definitely use Sally again and I highly recommend her!”

Hailey provided great care for my two Boston terrier. On the first day there was trouble with access to my apartment due to my leasing office being closed. Hailey stuck with it & waited till I could get home to let her in to take care of pups. She’s a great communicator. 10/10 would recommend & would ask for help in the future.

I’m so glad we found Max D. on Rover, whom we called “Uncle Max”. Our Great Dane, also named Max, absolutely adored him. From the very beginning, Uncle Max won Max over with his kind voice, calm and gentle demeanor, and friendly, laid-back personality. Great Danes can be very sensitive dogs, and it was obvious that our dog felt completely comfortable, safe, and genuinely happy in his care. Max walked our dog three times a week for two months and never missed a day. He was consistently dependable and communicative. He treated our dog as if he were his own and always kept us informed about anything out of the ordinary. On one occasion, he perceptively noticed the signs of an ear infection. That level of attentiveness and care meant a great deal to us. The photos he sent after walks always made our day. You could clearly see how attached our dog Max was to Uncle Max — the affection and trust were written all over Max’s face. It gave us tremendous peace of mind knowing our dog was spending time with someone so caring, responsible, and genuinely good-hearted. If you are looking for someone who is reliable, observant, personable, and truly wonderful with animals, I recommend Max D. very highly.

WE FREAKIN LOVE TRICIA!!!!!! She’s a dog-whisperer and an absolute angel of a human being!!!! Tricia goes above and beyond caring for my quirky dog every single time. She’s amazing with him, meets him where he’s at and gives him loads of love and attention. She’a super respectful of my home and often does extra things like pick up my mail, refill all the doggy water bowls. She’s just incredible and your dog will the luckiest boy/girl to have her spend time with them!!!

Abby has been absolutely wonderful with Remi. I really appreciate how communicative and responsive she is, and it’s clear how much Remi enjoys her time with her. Abby doesn’t just take her for a walk - she makes sure she’s hydrated, comfortable, gets her treats, and feels cared for. What I value most is how loving she is toward Remi. The cuddle time and attention she gives her genuinely matter, and it shows.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
