“Jennifer took such good care of Archie and his special medical needs. He did not seem stressed at all. She sent me updates multiple times daily. I would highly recommend her.”

“Liliya did a wonderful job boarding our dog! She was so communicative, took wonderful pictures, and took care of our pup while he had an upset stomach. She is wonderful and we would highly recommend her, and her family to anyone looking for dog care or boarding!”

“Shea and Damien are absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend them! I have a large, loud, reactive pup, who takes time to settle in and they gave her ample opportunity and chances to do just that. By the end of her stay she was snuggling on the couch. They are super communicative and understanding. I hope to use them again soon!”

“Emily took great care of my pug Forrest. She sent many messages and pictures daily showing how he was enjoying his stay with her and her family. He enjoyed himself so much that he was reluctant to leave when I arrived to pick him up him up, literally hiding behind Emily so I wouldn’t pick him up. I will definitely use Emily again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great family home environment for their pet when away. A+, 5-stars.”

“This was my first time using Rover, and I was a little nervous to leave Titan with someone new. But Peter put my mind at ease right away. He took such great care of Titan, sending me daily pictures and videos with updates that made me smile. It turns out I was nervous for nothing — Titan was happy, comfortable, and clearly enjoyed his time with Peter. I’m so grateful for the care and attention he gave, and I would absolutely book with him again!”

About: I've had big dogs my entire life. My dogs are always friendly and welcome other dogs! They love to play! My dogs get along with small and large dogs. I'm currently retired and have open availability. I came from New Hampshire and used to pet sit up North in my home. Your dog will be treated as my own. I have a large fenced in yard. I walk my dogs every day and can crate your fur baby if needed. They will come home tired, lol.
“Mary was very patient and accomodating with us, and we especially appreciated her taking Smokey for a walk, and all the updates throughout the day. So glad to have found her!”

“Julie was really great with our anxious dog who really does not warm up to strangers. She understood that our dog needed space and time. By the end of the 24hour stay she and our dog had bonded which speaks volumes regarding Julie’s demeanor and ability to read a dog. Additionally, Julie is extremely responsive. Due to weather we needed to adjust our stay and she quickly responded to my messages and helped work through how to navigate the Rover site ? We are looking forward to having our dog stay with Julie again soon.”

“Andreana is beyond wonderful!! She did such a good job with my Sassy, even giving me tips on how to better cater to Sassy’s challenging eating habits! Sassy looked very happy in all of her pictures and I knew she was in great hands! I will definitely book her again in the future!!”

“Elaine is brilliant with our dog. We have boarded him with her a couple of times and each time he has been well fed and well kept. He even hugs her when he is ready to come back home. Elaine is easy to work with and her place is conveniently located to I-495. All in all, I highly recommend Elaine!”

“Sarah was absolutely fantastic with our older aged GSD. Her retriever got along great with our dog and we were very pleased with the level of care provided for our pup when it came to food accommodations (our pup gets anxious when we leave and struggles to eat sometimes). Needless to say, Sarah went above and beyond and we couldn’t be more appreciative of the extraordinary care for our dog as well as all of the communication and photos she provided during the stay. Lastly, Sarah was quite flexible and accommodating with meet and greets, drop off times and pickup times. 10/10 and highly recommend! Thank you Sarah!”

“They are the best! They treated our beloved pup like their own. We received lots of pictures, and videos showing how comfortable our pup was. They are very kind and flexible. Highly recommended!”

“Nancy is very kind, loving and caring. My dog is old and timid and Nancy handled her care with exactly what my dog needed. Nancy is very gentle. I would highly recommend Nancy.”

“Our pup had a wonderful time on her first overnight with Kira! We really appreciated the communication - and we’re very comfortable she was safe and happy. She came home tired and happy :). Thank you again for taking great care of our girl!”

“Jasper had the best time with Radhika and her family! She sent me updates and cute pictures throughout his stay, took him on lots of walks, and gave him lots of love. I’m so thankful I was able to find someone with experience to watch my high energy pup!”

“Bojack loved staying with Kourtney! He is a fourteen years old. I like that Kourtney has a background in veterinary medicine. Not only did that make me trust her with his daily meds, it was nice knowing that there was a trained eye on him. Bojack is overly bonded to me to the point that he often sits by the window waiting for me to return when I go out. The biggest compliment to Kourtney's care is that when we picked him up, he greeted me with enthusiasm but not anywhere near the crazy welcome I usually get, AND he kept looking back at Kourtney as if he was unsure whether he wanted to leave! We will definitely have her watch him again.”

The median cost per night for pet boarding in West Boylston is $63
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Boylston
Peter watched my two, big dogs for a few days this month while I was on vacation. Specifically, I used his boarding service. I had a feeling he was a great candidate after viewing his profile and speaking with him. Not only is his price right, but so is his service. He's legit and located close to us. He was very helpful and transparent regarding my dog's stay. He's a nice and cooperative guy. There weren't any issues throughout the entire process as he was very responsive. He provided updates that included pictures and videos of my dogs enjoying their time with another dog he was boarding. I appreciated this gesture, as well as the overall ease of working with him. I truly have no complaints. He even coordinated with my friend to pick up the dogs, as she was going to watch them for the remainder of our trip. Peter's service was wonderful, and I highly recommend him!

Erinn has such a great energy and naturalness with animals, that we knew right after meeting her she was the right person to care for our two golden retrievers. She is warm while still exuding the leadership we need for our dogs, and they clearly adore her. We would not hesitate to leave them with her again. Thank you, Erinn!

Our mid-size doodle-poodle had a terrific time boarding with Lee and Lisa! She practiced her playing with gentle, larger dogs, continued her love affair with small dogs, and even got her feet wet when her new friends splashed in ponds on some of the many many hikes and walks she was taken on. She came back to us clean, healthy, and happy! Couldn't ask for more. Thank you, Lee!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
