“Molly is amazing. So kind and thoughtful with our dogs, kept us updated and sent lots of pictures. Usually when they spend the night away from us they’re anxious and confused, but they were super relaxed and happy. Thank you Molly!!!”

“Jaquie was very accommodating to my dog and sent me photo and video updates. She provided lots of exercise for my younger energetic dog. I highly recommend Jaquie to care for your pet.”

“Jennifer took such good care of Archie and his special medical needs. He did not seem stressed at all. She sent me updates multiple times daily. I would highly recommend her.”

“Our pet dog had a great time at Paola. She is very attentive to our needs and took good care of our dog. She also provided daily updates and loads of pictures which made us feel comfortable the whole time we are away for a vacation.”

“Our 10 month old golden retriever had a great time staying with Dina. She was able to accommodate us last minute. She was wonderful with him! Her communication was much appreciated during our time away. We will 100% be using Dina in the near future.”

“Peggy was great! Communication was great - and our normally shy dog Edison was best buds with their dog Daytona right away. Hope he can visit with Peggy and her family again soon!”

About: From social to skiddish, cuddly to aggressive, I really have a soft spot for any kitty I’ve gotten to know and taking care of them is second nature to me. Most recently, I’ve lived with a very sweet and very spicy cat Sasha, so patience has been key! For the past few years, I have taken care of an incredible golden retriever named Frieda in Southern Vermont. She is nearly 13— we go on twice-daily walks, I brush and trim her long fur, and I make sure she's comfortable around her two kitty relatives in the house. I will be happy to provide this care for your dogs as well, meeting them where they are at in terms of walking, socializing, and other kinds of care I can provide. I am new to Worcester and beginning a graduate school program at MCPHS. I have both remote and in-person classes, but will have ample time everyday to make room for cat care! I am extremely patient when it comes to pet care and I know that it may take time for your pets to warm up to me. I have a warm and gentle presence that will make your kitties and pups and other pets feel safe and comfortable. Much of my pet-sitting in past years has included house-sitting as well, so rest assured that your home is in good hands.
“Julie is so wonderful!!! She was very welcoming to us and our dogs. Her calm manner is comforting to pets and pet parents. She kept us updated, so our days away were worry free. Thank you for having such expert caregivers that keep our babies both safe and happy! We highly recommend Julie and will definitely use her again.”

“Elaine is fantastic! We have boarded our Cocker Spaniel with Elaine a few times now and she provides excellent care each time. The peace of mind we have when leaving our dog with Elaine is such a blessing. We know that Elaine loves the dogs she watches and that she will provide the best possible care and attention for our little guy each time he stays with her. We're thankful for Elaine and highly recommend her to others!”

“Andrea is absolutely wonderful in every way. We couldn't have found a better person to take care of our dog while we are away. She is responsible, responsive, kind and most importantly adores dogs. We feel very lucky to have found her!”

“Delia was absolutely incredible. Numerous daily updates on all their adventures. Honestly thought our dog wouldn’t want to come back to us with all the great things she was doing with him. Highly recommended!”

“Great pet sitter I left my dog 🐕 and I knew she was going to be in good hands. Zaqeisha send me pictures of Fiona to show me how she was doing every other day . I will definitely contact her in the future.”

About: I have solid pet care experience — in my own home and staying at owners' homes to care for pets and houses. I have cared for dogs, cats, and even farm animals over the years. I live in a large house with two fully fenced yards, a seasonal pool, and walking trails nearby, so pets have plenty of room to run, relax, or explore on leash. I also have two dogs of our own, Loki (7) and Nelly (14), both friendly, well-behaved 50lb mixed breeds — Loki's a bit more active, Nelly's calm and sweet. They may bark when someone new arrives but warm up fast, so we know how to help nervous pets settle in. Whether it's an active young dog or a senior who needs a gentler routine, I tailor the care to fit. Pet care is woven into my everyday life. I work from home, so I'm around throughout the day for feeding, potty breaks, and attention — not squeezing visits in around a job. My own dogs are let out into the fenced yard at least 4-5 times a day, right from the front door, and I take them on a walk daily. With two fenced yards, a pool, and trails nearby, pets get plenty of room to play and explore. Because I'm home consistently, sitting jobs fit naturally into my day — your pet gets frequent check-ins and a routine that doesn't feel rushed. I take pet care in my home very seriously — I consider pets family, and the top priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and at ease from the moment they arrive. My main focus is hosting sits in my own home, but I'm also open to sitting at a client's home nearby. I have done several sits in other people's homes, and I take that responsibility seriously: I make it a priority to learn a pet's routine — feeding times, walk schedules, favorite spots, any quirks — and stick to it closely so there's as little disruption as possible. I'm also a respectful guest in someone else's home, treating the space and belongings with care, just as I would want someone to treat mine. Whether it's my place or yours, pets get consistent routine and full attention.
“Alexis took such wonderful care of our Goldendoodle, Walden, and treated him like one of her own. Walden and Brewer became fast friends. It was clear he was happy and well cared for while we were away. We would absolutely trust Alexis with Walden again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional care for their pup.”

About: As the former Director of Operations for a no kill animal rescue in Texas, I have a huge fondness for furry creatures. After spending years caring for homeless pets in the Dallas and Worcester area as well as working as a veterinary technician and in an emergency room for animals, I'm looking to bring my skill set to your pet's home. I have experience handling shy and fearful pets, and am able to handle all medications and temperaments/quirks your pet may have. Even better, I'm ready to meet your fur baby today! My shelter residents were family while they stayed in my care, and your pet will be treated the same. While I'm first and foremost a feline lover, my time in rescue really engendered a love of dogs for me as well. I'm partial to large breeds, but have yet to find a face I can't love! Anxious pets are my specialty, and I have the patience needed to form new friendships with all of my fur friends. There's always time for furry friends, and luckily, my favorite activity is making sure your pets have everything they need to feel comfortable when their best friend has to be away. An animal's safety is my priority. Dogs without a fenced in yard will only be taken out on leash, and cats will not be allowed outdoors.
“I highly recommend Ms. Jackie. My dog received the care and attention he needed. Ms. Jackie is very friendly, trustworthy and dependable. You will not be disappointed!”

About: I started caring for my families pets when I was 6 years old. My neighbors were dog grooming from home, with the occasional cat grooming, so I got to get to know a lot of different things about individual breeds. My husband Evan knows how to train dogs and cats to do just about anything. He is also fluent in asl, a musician, and an artist. I love to give pets my full attention and care because it is relaxing to me. I know a lot of veterinarian technicians as well from my time in trade school. I live near Green Hill Park which is a great place to go for a stroll when the weather is nice. I know what pets are asking for and what to do if anything comes up so if you need special care for your pet they will be safe with me. I am currently available weekends and week nights. If my schedules changes I will update my profile with time off in advanced so that there are no miscommunications or cancellations. I can spend time with your pet playing in the yard or home. I walk pets as frequently as their schedule requires. Every pet has unique care needs. I love to care for pets and give them my full attention. Younger pets are full of energy and love to play so I do my best to get all their energy out so they sleep well and stay healthy. I am able to give pets medication or put them in diapers if required by the owner.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Worcester
Shea and Damien took care of Peanut for a week while we went on vacation. They were wonderful and kept me updated with photos and notes about how he was doing. Their house and neighborhood is really dog friendly with a fenced in backyard and nice sidewalks. Peanut had a great time!

Tamara did a fantastic job watching our dog Max. He was well cared for and we could tell he really enjoyed his stay. Tamara is always caring and responsive, and was able to accommodate our drop off and pick up times so. We highly recommend Tamara and Jerimiah, and will certainly be using them again.

Alexis took such wonderful care of our Goldendoodle, Walden, and treated him like one of her own. Walden and Brewer became fast friends. It was clear he was happy and well cared for while we were away. We would absolutely trust Alexis with Walden again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional care for their pup.

It was so nice to be able to go on vacation without worrying about Tootsie for the first time! I mean not a single worry! Makes for a much better vacation! Leslie was so nice and patient! It took Tootsie a day to settle in and once she was I know tootsie was very comfortable. She sent daily pictures and updates which gave me further assurance. You just don’t get that from a boarding place even though they promise that. Tootsie is a rather “needy” dog but like a 2nd child. I could tell she was well taken care of. I would not hesitate to call Leslie again and if you are reading this review, rest assured your dog will be in great hands! Thanks Leslie!!

Lauren was a lifesaver for taking our last-minute booking. She took great care of Champ and sent regular photo updates. A huge thanks to Gavin for helping with the heavy crate, too, he moved it to and from the car on his own without us even asking. Champ came home happy, well-fed, and on his regular routine. Highly recommend them if you need a reliable team! We will definitely be booking with her again.

Andrea and Joaquin took such good care of my baby, they made him feel so comfortable and safe, and really helped rest my nerves about boarding my cat for the first time by sending lots of pictures and updates. They also accepted my request very last minute which I really appreciated! I will definitely be having my baby stay with them again in the future

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
