“Michael took excellent care of my door. He was reliable, attentive, and kept me updated on my dog’s status throughout the stay. The facilities were clean, safe, and well maintained. Highly recommend.”

“Swetha was fantastic! She made both me and Arthur (my dog) very comfortable in knowing that he would be well cared for while I was away, and he had a great time while there. Swetha was great about updating me with texts and pictures multiple times per day which put me at ease knowing Arthur was having a great time. I will definitely be reaching out to Swetha again in the future!”

“Would highly recommend her. I left my dog with her for 10 days initially than extended to 12 days. She is prompt on responses and accommodating any special request. I am definitely going back to her”

“Extremely accommodating, flexible, and knowledgeable about dog care. They were able to accommodate us at short notice, which was greatly appreciated. Their setup with separate enclosures to acclimate dogs slowly is very nice. Provided updates and photos/videos regularly, quick to respond to inquiries. Zuko had a great time and was well taken care of. Calm and happy upon pickup. Paul is now our go-to for dog care!”

“Very satisfied with Shirley’s care of my two dogs. My younger dog is very attached to me and not used to me being out of the house, let alone boarded for six nights. Shirley and her family worked with her so she settled in. I picked up two happy and well cared for dogs. Will use again.”

“Luca, once again, had a wonderful stay with Jackie and her family. He is always so happy to see her, which provides us great comfort knowing he enjoys spending time with her. We are blessed to have found Jackie to care for Luca when we travel. Truly one in a million!”

“Aline was amazing! She was very easy to communicate with and kept us updated throughout the entire time. We really appreciated all the photos she sent—they showed how happy and comfortable Coco was. She paid attention to every detail and made sure our baby was safe and happy the whole time. Coco had such a great time with her! I will definitely book Aline again in the future. Thank you so much, Aline!”

“Sam was polite and friendly, and took good care of our pup while we were away. It was a last minute booking and she was incredibly flexible about it. Sent daily updates and photos. Thanks so much!”

“My dogs had a great time at Nancy's house for two nights, during some of the coldest days of the year. Nancy and her family are animal lovers and sweetheart themselves. So happy to have found her!”

“We traveled abroad for a 2 week trip- and it was such a relief to find a reliable and welcoming sitter for our dog and our daughter’s dog while we were away. Jen kept us informed with pictures and updates on our dogs’ care - and had plenty of helpers in her children to provide that extra TLC to keep them busy and happy! We will definitely consider Jen first for future pet care needs!”

“Livia was very cooperative of our flight schedules. She accommodated last minute schedule changes. Sent us pictures of the pet every day. Bella came back home very calm and composed. I will surely use Livia again for pet sitting.”

About: As the former Director of Operations for a no kill animal rescue in Texas, I have a huge fondness for furry creatures. After spending years caring for homeless pets in the Dallas and Worcester area as well as working as a veterinary technician and in an emergency room for animals, I'm looking to bring my skill set to your pet's home. I have experience handling shy and fearful pets, and am able to handle all medications and temperaments/quirks your pet may have. Even better, I'm ready to meet your fur baby today! My shelter residents were family while they stayed in my care, and your pet will be treated the same. While I'm first and foremost a feline lover, my time in rescue really engendered a love of dogs for me as well. I'm partial to large breeds, but have yet to find a face I can't love! Anxious pets are my specialty, and I have the patience needed to form new friendships with all of my fur friends. There's always time for furry friends, and luckily, my favorite activity is making sure your pets have everything they need to feel comfortable when their best friend has to be away. An animal's safety is my priority. Dogs without a fenced in yard will only be taken out on leash, and cats will not be allowed outdoors.
“Roxy had a great time with Jacquie’s pups and another one who was staying with her for the weekend. She clearly takes great care of them, getting outside a lot despite the snow and appreciating Roxy’s affectionate ways <3”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and truly love caring for them! I have hands-on experience with a variety of breeds, including Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, Bernedoodles, and German Shepherds. I understand the unique personalities and needs of each dog of all ages and make it my mission to ensure they feel safe, happy, and loved while in my care. Whether it’s playtime, long walks, or just a cozy cuddle session, I treat every dog like my own. You can trust that your pup will be in warm, reliable, and capable hands! As a teacher, my schedule becomes much more flexible after June 17th when the school year ends. I babysit on Tuesdays, but aside from that, my days are open for walks, drop-ins, or overnight care. I’m excited to dedicate more of my time this summer to spending quality time with pets and providing dependable, loving care whenever needed. I provide a safe, loving, and calm environment for all pets in my care. I have a fully fenced-in yard where dogs can safely play and stretch their legs, and there’s a beautiful park just a short walk away for fun walks and exercise. Whether in my home or yours, I follow your pet’s routine, provide plenty of affection and supervision, and make sure they feel secure. I also send regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing while you’re away.
“Loren is awesome! Our Tina had a great time staying at her house, getting outside for a fun outing, chilling inside, and enjoying her time watching all that goes on outside the window. Loren was super responsive from the very beginning, set up a meet and greet, and was great getting to know Tina. During the visit she shared pics and we knew the entire time Tina was in excellent hands. Highly recommend Loren!”

“Thomas and Amy were awesome with our dog! To start, they were very accommodating, even with a last minute booking. When we got there, Thomas showed us around the property and made us feel like our dog would be very comfortable there. They have a big area for the dogs, with plenty of space for them to hang out, play, relax or run around. They made sure to keep us updated while we were away, sending us plenty of pictures and videos of his many walks, play time and hanging out. They definitely made our dog feel like he was home and part of the family. We will definitely use them again and will recommend them to our friends!”

Tracee was great with our dog (a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel). Tracee and her family are very friendly, and you can tell how much they love animals. Tracee sent several updates with pictures during our trip, and it was very reassuring to know that our dog was settling in well and having a good time. Our dog was in great spirits when we picked her up. I will definitely be using Tracee again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
