“We are grateful to Paulina for responding to our last minute request for pet sitting. She did a great job taking care of our cats and gave us up-to-date info for each visit,”

“Holly was so professional and communicative. Responded nearly immediately and made a point to get to know our dogs and their space before committing to take care of them. She is exactly the type of person you want taking care of your pets. Would highly recommend Holly and will definitely use her in the future!”

“Kim did an excellent job watching creme. She also brought in packages and helped water the garden. Really appreciate that you go above and beyond! Awesome work!”

“Jen was a punctual, knowledgeable, and reliable cat sitter from our first visit to the last check in. Her reports show her pertinent observations on changes in the cat’s play and feeding behavior with good solutions to these behaviors. She was also willing to bring in the mail and take out the trash while we were away. The cats were playful and engaged in the videos she posted. We recommend Jen as a pet sitter and will use her services in the future.”

“Kelly has been caring for our cats when we travel for years now. They run right to her when she stops by to pick up the house key. Kelly sends several great pics of every visit, a daily delight. Upon returning home, we find the cats well fed and happy, and the house (& litter boxes) in good order. We are most grateful for her care. Highly recommend!”

About: I've absolutely adored animals of all kinds since I was a little kid. As an adult, I've worked in shelters, kennels, and in client's homes. I am also currently a certified professional dog trainer. Depending on the days, I may have to make short trips away to train my client dogs. I will gladly spend the entirety of the rest of my time with your pets, including overnights! I am happy to follow a schedule if one is provided. I will also provide video or picture updates as frequently as requested. I will also be happy to check the house the pet is staying in to make sure it's safe for the pet. Any messes or accident's are no problem for me to clean up and I will inform the owner about them.
“Maya was a lifesaver for me! My cat was recently diagnosed with a condition requiring daily injections, but I felt very nervous to give them myself. Maya came out for the first few days to show me the ropes and she did a wonderful job of teaching me and making me feel confident about doing it myself. She was friendly, patient with my cat and great at keeping me updated when she would be arriving. I will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Briana was great! This was our first time using Rover, or any type of pet sitter. It gave us great piece of mind knowing our shy cat was taken care of, able to be in his own home and checked on daily. She even brought in packages and mail, and sent us photos of our cat when she could :) I’d recommend Briana whole heartedly and would work with her again in the future”

“Ashley was great with taking care of my dog while I was gone. My dog was just getting over being sick, so she needed a little more TLC, and Ashley kindly delivered. I am so grateful for her.”

“Cassie provided amazing care to our cats. She went above and beyond to make sure our cats were comfortable and well cared for. I would highly recommend Cassie for pet sitting!”

“Julia took great care of our dogs! We have an older Jack Russell and a younger deaf & anxious Jack. They are wonderful dogs but require a little more work. Julia was wonderful with both. She sent updates and pictures and we could tell the dogs were comfortable and at ease with her. Julia came over earlier for a meet and greet and was very friendly & kind. We highly recommend her!”

About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals and my hands-on experience caring for pets every day. I help my mom care for our two dogs and also have three cats of my own, so I'm very familiar with the daily needs, routines, and personalities of both dogs and cats. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and making pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether it's feeding, walks, playtime, administering basic care, or simply giving them attention and affection, I treat every pet like they're part of the family. While I don't have professional training experience, I'm comfortable caring for pets of different ages and energy levels, including puppies who need extra patience and supervision, as well as senior pets who may require a gentler approach and more attentive care. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and nothing makes me happier than spending time with dogs and cats. My goal is to make sure every pet feels loved, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already help care for my family's two dogs and three cats. I'm used to feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning up after pets, giving them attention, and making sure they're comfortable and happy throughout the day. Since I'm home for the summer, my schedule is very flexible, which allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including walks, drop-in visits, feeding schedules, playtime, and companionship. I have plenty of availability throughout the week and can adjust my routine to meet the specific needs of each pet and their owner. My flexible schedule also means I can provide consistent care and give pets the attention they deserve. I love spending time with animals and making sure they feel happy, safe, and comfortable. I enjoy playing fetch, giving them lots of attention, and spending quality time snuggling and bonding with them. I often join my mom on long walks with our dogs, so I am comfortable exercising and caring for pets of different energy levels. I am responsible, patient, and knowledgeable about basic pet care, including feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning up after pets, and following their daily routines. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always make their well-being my top priority.
“Virginia is absolutely amazing! She catered to all four of my cats. She adjusted perfectly to our cat’s particular needs. We have one shy cat who will not come out from under the couch for anyone, but Virginia was able to bond with her and give her the attention she needed. We will be using Virginia for all of our future “cat lovin’” needs!”

“Eko and Sarah were SO nice with Cleo and really took their time to play with her and keeping her company☺️ truly happy to have found them after our previous Rover moved!”

About: Growing up, my family had around 6 dogs that I learned to care for quickly. Outside of that, I’ve dog sat for neighbors and extended relatives frequently. I’m especially a pro with senior dogs who need a little extra help. The needs of your dog come before anything else. All the basics (food, water, potty, and play) are my priority, but I also highly value all the little things that make your dog special. It may be that they’re a big dog with a lot of energy who needs long walks and park play time; you may have a small dog who likes a short trot around the block and cuddles. I want to get you know your animals and care for them the best I can. As a part time worker and part time student, my hours vary, but there is always time for pups and kitties! I am available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in the evening and all day on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. In my experience with dogs, I’ve taken them on regular daily or every other day walks. Additionally, I have a fenced in yard they play in. With cats, I’ve always kept my indoors. As for both animals, I’m attentive with feeding, always making sure the animals are on a schedule that them.
About: I have grown up around dogs all my life. I have worked with both big and small dogs and love every size. I have volunteered working with litters of puppies, cleaning , feeding and exercising them. I commonly help with family and friends pets as well as people near by in my community. I have worked with dogs that require specific care like medicines, baths and schedules as well. Im currently available to work with your furry friends almost full time! Most days I have a flexible schedule that makes it possible to care for your pets when its most convent for you. I am able to provide walking services or drop in visits if your pet just needs some company! I can clean up any pet messes as well as feeding your furry friend if you need. I am open to discussions about providing baths if it is a task you need completed for your pet.
“This was my 2nd time booking with Alison, I was so happy to know she was available for the time I was away again. She’s great to communicate with and always sends tons of photos during her visits 😊”

“Michelle was awesome! We were very satisfied the care and attention that Michelle showed to our 3 cats while we were away. One of our cats is almost 18 and has health problems and we were worried about leaving him. In addition to feeding and cleaning litter boxes, Michelle gave our elderly cat medication, cleaned up all manner of messes every day, and also gave all the cats treats and affection. The reports and pictures she sent gave us peace of mind while we were away, and we felt our cats were in good hands. We highly recommend Michelle!”
About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my whole life. Now I have 2 cats of my own which I adore. I love getting outside for walks any time of day and can do as long as your dog wants to! We just moved and I will not be working until a spot in daycare opens for my son. I can do daily drop-in’s and walks any day of the week. I will treat your home the way I would want a guest to treat mine and I will care for your pet like they are my own!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Shrewsbury
Paulina is a reliable, experienced, and thorough petsitter. She made pertinent observations about our three cats, and adjusted feeding routines to get a picky eater to take her medication. Her fotos demonstrated her interactions and playtime with the cats. We highly recommend her and will rebook her in the future.

Nicole was great with my cat Hallie! Hallie is a very sweet and loving cat, but also very skittish around strangers. In a few short days, Nicole was able to gain her trust and Hallie would hang out with her. Nicole was very quick with responding to messages, particularly when I had questions or concerns, especially when Hallie was found to have some health issues less than a week before I was going out of town. Hallie seemed much happier and more energetic when I came back than when I left. I attribute that to Nicole taking such great care of her.

Tessa checked in on my 16-year-old kitties for a week. She is kind, responsive, flexible, and a true animal-lover. It was evident in all of the visit photos that the cats were being well-loved and having a great time playing and getting pats! Tessa even went above and beyond by leaving our home spotless after some kitty pukey incidents! Lol. We could not be more pleased with the care she provided!!

Jen is a responsible and responsive cat sitter. She takes good care of the cats and always makes time to play with them. She provides me with feedback about their eating and play behaviors, reassuring me that she took time to interact with them. The photos she sents show relaxed and interactive kitties. This is the second time we used her services and we have already booked her for a next time. We highly recommend Jen as a cat sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
