About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my whole life. Now I have 2 cats of my own which I adore. I love getting outside for walks any time of day and can do as long as your dog wants to! We just moved and I will not be working until a spot in daycare opens for my son. I can do daily drop-in’s and walks any day of the week. I will treat your home the way I would want a guest to treat mine and I will care for your pet like they are my own!

About: I have had 5 years of pet sitting/ dog walking experience. Friends, family and neighbors have always been able to rely on me to give their pet the best care. I have also had the privileged of fostering 5 dogs in the recent years and aiding them in finding their forever homes. My love for animals and passion for their needs being taken care of is unmatched. It is my priority to give you and your pet worry free care. I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time to come and hang out with your pet! My schedule is very flexible. I have a fence in my backyard but it is not fully fenced in all the way. About: I’ve grown up with dogs surrounding me! 6 throughout my own home life, and more through friends and family. I’ve taken care of the young and the old, the sick and the energetic, from chihuahua to mastiff! My schedule revolves around them, not the other way around. It’s my personal mission to keep any pet in my care safe and happy, or safe and content if it takes a while for them to get used to me. Your dog(s) will be well-fed, stress-free and will hopefully have gained a new friend :) I work part time 2-3 days a week, so lots of time for pups! I’m used to staying up late and waking up early for my own. I’ve yet to meet a dog that doesn’t like me! Exercise/play: - happy to take walks or just play in a yard/play area - tennis balls, tug-of-war and puzzle enrichment toys are fair game Food: - dry kibble, fresh food, homemade dietary food, I’ve made it and given it! - I love to bake, so let me know if your buddy would appreciate a homemade treat! Health/safety: - any safety instructions given will be strictly followed - any and all allergies will be taken extremely seriously - I have experience in administering most forms of oral and topical medications, if needed - happy to give a brush-through, but baths and nails are out of my wheelhouse for now

About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 6 years and dog walking for 8 years, caring for pets of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to have someone dependable, and genuinely caring looking after your animals. I’m experienced with daily walks, feeding routines, administering basic medications, and making pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m also comfortable caring for senior pets and adapting to each animal’s unique needs and personality to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I am currently enrolled in college, but have the summer free. I’ll have open availability and be free every day for walks, drop-ins, overnight care, or extended stays. I’m flexible with scheduling and can accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend care as needed. I provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment by following each pet’s routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and medications. I’m patient with shy or anxious pets, prioritize safety at all times, and keep owners updated with photos and communication while they’re away.

I’m a travel nurse so I work really long hours. Katie came and sat with my girl a little bit each day I was at work and went above and beyond to take care of my girl!! If I’m ever in her area again I will so be using her again to take care of Willow. She truly loved my dog and my dog loved her. At one point I flew home and my sitter called was I landed and unable to care for Willow. Katie stepped up and made a very stressful situation bearable!! She is amazing and I 10/10 recommend her to anyone!

About: I have taken care of pets and houses through TrustedHouseSitters since 2022. I have completed over 13 sits and have a 5 star rating. I have taken care of many cats and dogs of various ages and sizes, including golden retrievers, labs, Irish water spaniel, Yorkshire terriers, Maltese, pomeranians, Scottish terrier, Bichon/Poodle and mutts of many varieties. I respect a pet's schedule and aim to make them as comfortable as possible. I can handle reactive dogs while on walks. I can administer medications in pill or powder form if the pet is compliant. I love brushing animals if the pet is willing. Personally, I had 2 wonderful medium size dogs growing up. Sadie (German shephard and collie mix) and Mindy (collie and mystery mix) taught me compassion, patience and so many tricks. As an adult, I adopted my first cat in 2026. While I did not grow up in a cat family, if felt like a rite of passage as a librarian. I am thoroughly enjoying being a cat mom to an incredibly talkative and playful cat. He is very opinionated and craves human interaction. I work full time so I will typically only be available for overnights, walks or check-ins on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. For cat check-ins, I may be able to accommodate weekdays depending on your location. I have taken care of animals in their own home for over 4 years. I like to follow owner instructions as closely as possible because it is will make the pet most comfortable. I always use caution when entering/exiting the home and while walking dogs.

About: I’ve fostered and owned cats and dogs since I was little. I worked at a dog daycare where I manage dogs from every size and breed! I’ve worked there for two years and have lots of experience! I work as a dog daycare attendant and a kennel technician there. I go to school at the University of Delaware and am home for the summer! I currently work a job of about 25 hours a week and sometimes will be shadowing veterinarians. My work schedule is not the same every week, but I can adjust as needed. I am trained from my job in animal handling and how to handle health challenges. I cannot do medicine unless it is already packaged in the food provided. I am a massive animal lover and am ready to give so much love & attention to the your pets!

About: My regular work schedule changes every week! So although it might show that I have a day blocked off, please message me anyways to see if I am available for a day you need help! :) I have had multiple cats and multiple dogs my entire life. I have also volunteered for animal transportation services! I have been counted on to bathe, feed, walk, and love all animals I have had in my care! I am currently working part-time a 3-4 days a week, and my schedule changes every week. I am very flexible on time though, and I take days off for house-sitting as well! Even if my calendar says a day might be blocked off, please message me anyways if you are looking for help on one of those days as my work schedule could have changed! I take my 2 dogs out every 3-4 hours as well as refill their water bowls throughout the day and feed them twice according to their diets. My cats are let out once or twice a day with supervision and are fed twice a day as well as their water bowl being refilled throughout as well. And of course they all get constant attention throughout the day. Your babies will be treated as if they were my own!

About: I grew up in a home where we always had many animals. Because of that, caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life, and I’ve spent many years helping take care of pets at home and for family and friends. I currently have a cat named Floyd, who I recently adopted. He is very affectionate, loving, gentle, and gets along very well with other animals. I currently work from home full-time during the weekdays, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability Monday through Friday. Being home throughout the day allows me to give pets consistent attention, care, companionship, and supervision. I enjoy incorporating pet care into my daily routine and making sure animals feel comfortable, active, and well cared for while their owners are away. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Although my home does not have a fenced yard, I always take pets outside on a leash and stay with them while they enjoy time outdoors. I also enjoy taking dogs on walks and giving them plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Maya for a meet-and-greet, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! She is incredibly friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about dogs. My dog took to them right away (and she’s a very anxious goldendoodle), which speaks volumes about their approach and care. I’m confident that my pup will be in great hands during their walks. She even sent me pictures & updated me on her walk. Highly recommend Maya!!!!!!!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Shrewsbury choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Shrewsbury with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
