Safety, trust & environment
I live in a small apartment with my cat off-campus. I’d typically be coming to you; I will respect your space, just let me know what is on or off limits!
Information Maya C. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know their typical behavior on walks (playfulness, reactivity) and how you prefer them to be walked (with treats, on/off leash, location, toys), as well as any medical history that I should know so I can be prepared!
A typical day
Where I walk them is dependent on what you are comfortable with, as well as where you live! If comfortable, I can take them off their leash and allow them to run around in a fenced in area such as a backyard. I prefer to take dogs to areas familiar to them so that there are no surprises that will upset or scare them.

Animal loving Veterinary student!
Pet care experience
At home, I have a kitty and I’ve also fostered a diabetic cat for almost a year! I worked for 2.5 years as a veterinary assistant at Longwood Veterinary Center and have had experience working with animals in research. I’ve also been trained by Animal Care Center NYC to walk shelter dogs! I’m a current veterinary student at Tufts’ Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, hoping to be a small animal veterinary surgeon one day!

Reviews

Maya does a great job taking care of our cat Onion each time we’ve gone away. She keeps us in the loop and he always seems happy and well taken care of when we come home.

Maya was excellent! She played with my Marcus and sent loads of photos. Would definitely recommend her for other bookings.

Maya was amazing! She took such great care of my cats and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She was incredibly communicative, sent updates, and clearly cared about my pets. I came home to happy, well cared for cats and couldn’t be more grateful. I highly recommend Maya and will absolutely book with her again!

We had Maya taking care of our cat Halla for the first time. She made herself available during memorial day weekend which we were very grateful for. Maya was very polite and prompt in her messages on Rover. Halla was immediately very receptive to her as soon as she walked in so I'm confident Maya has a good demeanor and vibes towards cats! Maya followed all the instructions we gave for taking care of Halla over the weekend. She sent us lovely photos and updates during her visit! Halla seemed to be very relaxed and happy in them. And so we were very confident and relaxed in our trip despite having Maya for the first time. Thank you Maya!
