“We are grateful to Paulina for responding to our last minute request for pet sitting. She did a great job taking care of our cats and gave us up-to-date info for each visit,”

“Kelly was amazing! She made herself available to come and meet my cat before my visit and get to know the space. She was always responsive and let me know what time she would be stopping by each day. Took wonderful pictures and completed all the tasks I asked for. Will definitely be my first choice for my next trip!”

About: I am out of the house for 6 hours a day due to work. I have Fridays and Saturdays off! If your pup is crate trained or can stay in the house alone with no problems, I would love to have them stay with me! I have hands-on experience in pet care, including two years working at a doggy daycare, as well as caring for dogs and cats since I was young. I will do everything I can to ensure your furry friends feel happy, comfortable, and safe while in my care. 🐾 Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine. I take walks every morning and afternoon and would love to have your dog join me. Your pet will always have my full, undivided attention. I always start by gently building trust with your pet, letting them feel comfortable and secure at their own pace. Once they’ve warmed up, they’re welcome to explore my home freely. I have a variety of cat and dog toys so every pet feels at home. My home is calm, quiet, and full of positive energy. If I ever need to step out briefly, your dog will relax in a cozy crate with soft blankets, fresh water, and a peanut-butter-filled Kong, making it a safe and comforting space while you’re away.
About: I am a fear-free certified professional trainer! Because of this along with almost a decade of experience, I am very confident in handling nervous or less-than-friendly dogs. I've absolutely adored animals of all kinds since I was a little kid, even the ones that most people were afraid of. As an adult, I've worked in shelters, kennels, and in client's homes without incident! Depending on the days, I may have to make short trips away to train my client dogs. I will gladly spend the entirety of the rest of my time with your pets, including overnights! I am happy to follow a schedule if one is provided. I will also provide video or picture updates as frequently as requested. I will also be happy to check the house the pet is staying in to make sure it's safe for the pet. Any messes or accident's are no problem for me to clean up and I will inform the owner about them.
“We had Maya taking care of our cat Halla for the first time. She made herself available during memorial day weekend which we were very grateful for. Maya was very polite and prompt in her messages on Rover. Halla was immediately very receptive to her as soon as she walked in so I'm confident Maya has a good demeanor and vibes towards cats! Maya followed all the instructions we gave for taking care of Halla over the weekend. She sent us lovely photos and updates during her visit! Halla seemed to be very relaxed and happy in them. And so we were very confident and relaxed in our trip despite having Maya for the first time. Thank you Maya!”

“Julia took great care of our dogs! We have an older Jack Russell and a younger deaf & anxious Jack. They are wonderful dogs but require a little more work. Julia was wonderful with both. She sent updates and pictures and we could tell the dogs were comfortable and at ease with her. Julia came over earlier for a meet and greet and was very friendly & kind. We highly recommend her!”

“Kim was so awesome taking care of Luna! She followed all instructions and provided love/care for my cat. I've never booked a pet sitter but I'm glad I did with Kim she's so nice and responsive!”

“Ashley was amazing! So incredibly kind and attentive to our fur babies. She was very patient and aware of their body language which is super important to us as our kitties are quite skittish and slow to warm up. But by the end of her visits they had definitely warmed up. We would recommend Ashley to anyone looking for their babies to be well loved!”
“Holly ended up being the perfect match to care for my cat while I was away for the weekend! Communication was great and she is the only person I know that my cat immediately warmed up to! He tends to be shy and it usually takes him some time to get comfortable with new people but he seemed to enjoy her company from the first time she walked in the door! I highly recommend Holly and absolutely plan on using her services anytime I plan to be away! I can tell she cared for my fur baby just as much as she cares for her own which helps relieve the anxiety of leaving him with someone new!”

“Virginia was very attentive and professional throughout the whole process, and provided very detailed updates on my cat’s care and behavior. She made both of us feel at ease.”

“Erica was so wonderful with our needy kitty. She gave her lots of attention during her drop-in visits. Our cat wasn’t the normal basket case when we arrived home after a long weekend away. Highly recommend Erica for drop-in cat sitting needs.”

“Cassie has been such a wonderful caretaker for our cats. She spends quality time with the cats and ensures everything is clean and in order. Cassie goes above and beyond, was very flexible, and was such a big help. The cats absolutely adored her and seemed to really enjoy her company.”
“Jen was fantastic! We couldn’t be happier with her exceptional care of our dog Finn! Jen kept us updated with texts, videos and photos. Between the long walks, movie time and playtime, I don’t think she missed us at all! I would not hesitate to call Jen again!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Shrewsbury
We have used Paulina’s services a few times now, and she is the best! She is very reliable and goes above and beyond the call of duty. Not only does she take great care of our cat, she looks after our home, too. She alerted us to a problem with our a/c and watched for our mail and when her booking is done she makes sure that we have returned. It puts our minds at ease when we travel knowing Paulina is there. We will use her services again and again.

Nicole was great with my cat Hallie! Hallie is a very sweet and loving cat, but also very skittish around strangers. In a few short days, Nicole was able to gain her trust and Hallie would hang out with her. Nicole was very quick with responding to messages, particularly when I had questions or concerns, especially when Hallie was found to have some health issues less than a week before I was going out of town. Hallie seemed much happier and more energetic when I came back than when I left. I attribute that to Nicole taking such great care of her.

Tessa checked in on my 16-year-old kitties for a week. She is kind, responsive, flexible, and a true animal-lover. It was evident in all of the visit photos that the cats were being well-loved and having a great time playing and getting pats! Tessa even went above and beyond by leaving our home spotless after some kitty pukey incidents! Lol. We could not be more pleased with the care she provided!!

Jen is a responsible and responsive cat sitter. She takes good care of the cats and always makes time to play with them. She provides me with feedback about their eating and play behaviors, reassuring me that she took time to interact with them. The photos she sents show relaxed and interactive kitties. This is the second time we used her services and we have already booked her for a next time. We highly recommend Jen as a cat sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
