“Thank you Gabriela! Charlie & Frank were well taken care of while we were away. We appreciate that we can count on you to show up and provide caring and attention :) . You have been so helpful”

“Edith was fantastic! I will be sure to book Edith again should it be necessary! Every day the checkup on my cat was the same time, every task was completed, and Edith ensured that she spent time with him, take pictures of him, and gave him his medicine. Such a caring and responsible individual.”

“Kelly was great for drop in visits on our weekend away! She communicated well and sent great updates on our kitties and lizard. Would definitely book again and recommend to anyone in the area!”
About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life, growing up with two dogs, two cats, and even turtles and birds. Throughout high school, I cared for my neighbors' dogs and cats and regularly looked after my extended families pets while they were away, this gave me years of hands on experience with animals of all kinds. I have experience with fostering animals so I have taken care of blind dogs, dogs with diabetes and other disabilities that I am familiar with. I currently work part time at a grocery store, I don’t get a lot of hours so I have a lot of free time! I love animals so I make time for them at all times of the week :). I have a dog park at my apartment that many dogs i have watched loved to run around and play with the other dogs in. My apartment is also very spacious so cats and dogs have plenty of roaming space. I often make sure I get used to any animals environment fast, check out their favorite spots and make sure they’re as comfortable as possible while I am around them!
“Lauren is absolute wonderful! It was my first time having her watch the babies and would highly recommend her to anyone in need of a sitter! Very responsive and has a passion and love for animals. Went above and beyond for us and can’t thank her enough!”

About: Is your pup a social eater who gets a little sad when their humans are away? Don’t worry—I’m more than happy to sit on the floor with them, offer some calm encouragement, and help them feel comfortable enough to eat at their own pace. Maybe your senior cat needs medication, injections, or someone to keep a close eye on their resting respiratory rate, appetite, water intake, or other important health changes. Or maybe your furry family member simply needs someone to stop by for fresh food and water, playtime, and plenty of snuggles while you’re away. Whatever your pet’s needs, I’ll care for them with the same dedication and attention I give my own. I have extensive experience caring for both cats and dogs, including seniors and pets with complex medical needs. I’m comfortable administering medications, giving injections, following detailed care instructions, and adapting to each pet’s unique routine. If your pet has a specific schedule or care plan, I’m happy to follow it closely to keep their routine as familiar and stress-free as possible. Whether your pet needs extra patience, a calm presence, or specialized care, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I also lived with veterinarians for 15 years, where I gained invaluable practical knowledge about animal behavior, common medical conditions, and the subtle changes that can signal something isn’t quite right. While I’m not a veterinarian, I learned what situations should prompt a call to you or your veterinarian, along with countless practical tips for safely handling and caring for pets. I know how much trust it takes to leave someone else with a member of your family. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your pet will receive the same kindness, patience, attention, and respect I would want for my own. My goal is to match your pet's routine as much as possible while you are away, and my schedule reflects that. In addition to pet sitting, I care for an elderly family member, which allows for a lot of flexibility. I’m happy to come to your home, where your pet is most comfortable and their routine stays as normal as possible. My goal is to earn your cat or dog’s trust so they see my visits as something to look forward to while they’re missing their favorite people. With cats, I let them set the pace. I wait for them to approach, sniff me, and decide when they’re ready to say hello. Dogs are usually much more social, but I still like to get down to their level and let them get to know me before we jump into playtime or a walk. Trust is everything—both for your pets and for you. I want you to feel confident that your furry family member is safe, happy, and cared for just the way you would care for them yourself.
“Kiari was wonderful and timely. She was communicative throughout her time with our dog. She was also so kind and attentive to our dog. I would highly recommend her!”

“Evelina was awesome! We have an anxious pup who has a lot of energy. Avelina was informative, easy to communicate with, accessible, and genuinely seems to care for our girl. We will definitely be using her again in the future. We highly recommend her.”

“This was my 2nd time booking with Alison, I was so happy to know she was available for the time I was away again. She’s great to communicate with and always sends tons of photos during her visits 😊”

“Nicole has been fantastic with Avery and Cody. She's great with them, she's great at providing updates on every visit and we will be continuing to use her services as much as possible.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Along with years of pet sitting for friends and family, I worked as a veterinary assistant for 2 years and am now in veterinary school. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and needs, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a gentler pace. I have experience with medication administration, animal handling, and recognizing signs of stress or discomfort, but my biggest priority is making pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I will be completing an internship, but I will be available on weekends for pet sitting. I also have availability in the evenings and on weekends for dog walks and drop-in visits, making it easy to provide consistent care around my schedule. For cat care, I am able to provide boarding in my home where I ensure a safe, calm, and comfortable environment. For dogs, I provide care in the client’s home, where I follow all instructions closely and respect the home as if it were my own. I prioritize maintaining each pet’s normal routine and making sure they feel secure and well cared for.
“This was our first time leaving our pets with a sitter and we were very nervous to say the least. Paul went above and beyond to make sure our kitties were well cared for and sent us lots of pictures. We will definitely book with Paul again the next time we go out of town.”

About: I have taken care of pets and houses through TrustedHouseSitters since 2022. I have completed over 13 sits and have a 5 star rating. I have taken care of many cats and dogs of various ages and sizes, including golden retrievers, labs, Irish water spaniel, Yorkshire terriers, Maltese, pomeranians, Scottish terrier, Bichon/Poodle and mutts of many varieties. I respect a pet's schedule and aim to make them as comfortable as possible. I can handle reactive dogs while on walks. I can administer medications in pill or powder form if the pet is compliant. I love brushing animals if the pet is willing. Personally, I had 2 wonderful medium size dogs growing up. Sadie (German shephard and collie mix) and Mindy (collie and mystery mix) taught me compassion, patience and so many tricks. As an adult, I adopted my first cat in 2026. While I did not grow up in a cat family, if felt like a rite of passage as a librarian. I am thoroughly enjoying being a cat mom to an incredibly talkative and playful cat. He is very opinionated and craves human interaction. I work full time so I will typically only be available for overnights, walks or check-ins on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. For cat check-ins, I may be able to accommodate weekdays depending on your location. I have taken care of animals in their own home for over 4 years. I like to follow owner instructions as closely as possible because it is will make the pet most comfortable. I always use caution when entering/exiting the home and while walking dogs.
“Olivia is amazing!! Milo was very scared and agitated when the weekend began, but through Olivia’s patience and love became her happy self again!! Her calm demeanor with Milo reassured her and made her feel comfortable! She walked her everyday and her communication was very much appreciated!!!”

“Highly recommend! Grace took great care of Reese over the long weekend, providing regular updates and making sure she was happy and well cared for. I felt completely at ease knowing she was in good hands”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Sunderland
Kiari was wonderful! We booked a little last minute and she was able to meet Booker the day before with us and give her a run down on his care. I felt very relaxed knowing my baby was being well cared for. I’m only in the area temporarily but I will be using Kiari again if I need to go out of town!

We have used Paulina’s services a few times now, and she is the best! She is very reliable and goes above and beyond the call of duty. Not only does she take great care of our cat, she looks after our home, too. She alerted us to a problem with our a/c and watched for our mail and when her booking is done she makes sure that we have returned. It puts our minds at ease when we travel knowing Paulina is there. We will use her services again and again.

This is our third time using Lauren’s services and we could not be happier with her! She is kind, caring and pays close attention to our cats. We feels so at peace knowing they are in her care. Our kitties love her, too! We hope to continue to have Lauren watch our cats when we go on vacation.

Katie took care of my cat George for a full week of drop-in visits, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She spent time actually playing with him (not just the basics), and it showed—George looked so happy and relaxed in all the updates she sent. Speaking of updates, Katie sent a ton of them, which I absolutely loved. It made being away so much easier knowing exactly how he was doing each day. She also went above and beyond by watering my plants, which I really appreciated. I would 100% book Katie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, reliable pet sitter!

Sara was amazing and my disabled cat loves her. She was so responsive and caring by keeping me timely informed on my fur babies progress while we were gone halfway around the world for over a month. I cannot recommend her more. She truly bonded and cared for my animals. Hire her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
