“Samantha was a great choice for our two dogs! We had a last minute trip to attend a funeral and Sam stepped in with very little notice to walk both pups several times a day. Even with bad weather and two differently aged dogs, she was able to give them both a quality visit/pee break/exercise. She takes cute photos for pet parents missing their pups and is also observant to detail — for example, she reached out to ask if everything was okay when she noticed one of my dogs was placed in a different part of the house by their overnight sitter. It was so relieving to know she had their best interest at heart and took care of them as I would. Thank you Sam!!”

About: Hello and thank you so much for your interest in my pet care services! I have over 10 years of professional pet care experience, from dogs, cats and chickens, to fish, birds and even turtles! My experience began while nannying, where apart from caring for children, I took care of their chickens and dogs while the owners were away on vacation! After college and stepping away from a typical career path, I enjoyed being a kennel technician and eventually the assistant manager of a pet boarding facility offering doggy daycare, overnight boarding and grooming services to both cats and dogs. Most recently, I worked alongside a wonderful team of dog walkers serving surrounding towns of central MA! I also have experience with puppies, medical boarding and/or senior care of both cats and dogs. I am comfortable working with dogs of all shapes, ages and sizes! *Pet first aid and CPR trained and certified! I am currently available for morning, midday and evening drop-in visits/vacation care, or from 10-3pm Mon-Thurs for dog walking/potty break & playtime visits! I've had pets since childhood; dogs, cats, gerbils, hamsters, lizards, bunnies, fish, ferrets, and turtles. Most of my pets are rescued. I'm a great dog walker- I will take your dog for a lengthy walk, (or a slow stroll for my older clients) and I will provide him/her with attention, love, and affection. According to their needs, I can sit with your pet to offer comfort and companionship, or romp around on the floor or in the yard for exercise and stimulation. My visits can be tailored to your requests. I'm reliable, trustworthy, and committed. Your pet's health and safety come first. I will take pictures during my visits (or videos, if you'd like) so you know your pet is being cared for. If you have a cat, I will bring toys for stimulating activity, or simply sit with him/her and offer a comforting presence. I also care for gerbils, hamsters, bunnies, birds, and turtles. If you have fish, I will feed them, and give them attention. (Yes, I connect with fish.) I understand animals. I relate to them. I'm intuitive to their needs. And of course, I have great references. I will refresh their water bowl, feed them, (if requested) offer a treat, (if requested) brush them, play with them, or simply sit with them and be a calming presence in their day. It all depends on your pet's needs. I cater to their behavior and energy. If you have other pets in your home (gerbils, fish, turtles, bunnies, birds, etc) I would consider caring for them during your vacations. All to be discussed and negotiated, of course. As you can see from my profile, I'm very accommodating and flexible, and I offer a wide range of services. For overnight visits, my rate reflects a time frame from 8pm-7am.
