About: As a child, I was the neighborhood pet sitter. As an adult, I have vast experience caring for animals. For 25 years, I did pet sitting and house sitting in the Boston area before moving to Puerto Rico 13 years ago. The first month I lived there, I found a box of kittens in the road. I have been a rescuer since, being one of few who take on the most challenging cases. I have saved hundreds, if not thousands, of dogs and cats over the years and I have seen it all. Nothing intimidates me or grosses me out. I will give baths, dispense medications, clean up accidents, whatever is needed. I am 58 years old and am very reliable and trustworthy. I am 58 years old and do not work anymore so my availability is wide open. I do sometimes go to Puerto Rico where I am in the process of selling my home but the dates for those trips are flexible. I generally find that caring for pets in their own home is ideal as they really do appreciate routine, stability, and a familiar environment. However, I am certainly willing to care for them in my home as well and offer a fully fenced in back yard for dogs. There is an 11 lb dog at my house but he is used to cats and dogs coming and going so he should not pose a problem (or I can separate them, if preferred). In terms of routine, I am willing to adapt to whatever you have established and have no problem with giving medications, baths, or any other special care needed. With 13 years of rescuing in Puerto Rico and 25 years of pet care before that, I have seen it all (and nothing grosses me out!). If you like frequent updates and photos, no problem. If you like to relax and not think about home when you are away, no problem. Your beloved pets are in safe, loving hands.

I have tried my best to administer medications for my cats but they both really hate it! Litter boxes don't bother me at all. My cats are very spoiled, and I give them a special breakfast every morning! I love to play with my cats. They love shoestrings and they will create a bed out of anything, especially cardboard boxes.

About: I have been around animals ever since I was born, and started my first job petsitting in only 6th grade. I have worked with a variety of animals ranging from dogs and cats, to ducks, to chinchillas, to horses! I’ve always felt like I have a strong connection with animals, and see my own animals as children. This is why I want to help others take care of their fur babies knowing that they are in safe kind hands while they are away. I am also happy to accommodate same day bookings whenever possible! I firmly believe that a consistent routine for an animal is key to keeping them comfortable, especially if you are to leave. I would follow the owners daily routine to help keep your animals calmer. If they are crate trained I can put them in their crate, watch them in the yard, take them on walks, play with them, and cuddle at the end of the day. I strongly believe in the saying “leave it better than you found it”, which I intend to do in your home!

I work during the evenings from 2:45-11pm so I have time during the mornings and afternoons. My days off are Friday and Saturday so I have more availability then. About: From social to skiddish, cuddly to aggressive, I really have a soft spot for any kitty I’ve gotten to know and taking care of them is second nature to me. Most recently, I’ve lived with a very sweet and very spicy cat Sasha, so patience has been key! For the past few years, I have taken care of an incredible golden retriever named Frieda in Southern Vermont. She is nearly 13— we go on twice-daily walks, I brush and trim her long fur, and I make sure she's comfortable around her two kitty relatives in the house. I will be happy to provide this care for your dogs as well, meeting them where they are at in terms of walking, socializing, and other kinds of care I can provide. I am new to Worcester and beginning a graduate school program at MCPHS. I have both remote and in-person classes, but will have ample time everyday to make room for cat care! I am extremely patient when it comes to pet care and I know that it may take time for your pets to warm up to me. I have a warm and gentle presence that will make your kitties and pups and other pets feel safe and comfortable.
