I am currently finishing my degree and preparing to start my professional career, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. Outside of school, I help care for my nephews once a week and play volleyball a few times each week. Because my schedule is flexible, I can often accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including multiple drop-in visits throughout the day. I understand how important consistency and attention are for pets, and I'm happy to work with each client's schedule to ensure their pets receive the care, companionship, and routine they're used to while their owners are away.

While I am unable to host pets in my home due to HOA restrictions, I am happy to care for pets in their own home where they can remain comfortable in a familiar environment. When house sitting, I make it a priority to follow each pet's established routine, including feeding schedules, medication needs, exercise, playtime, and any household rules. I understand that consistency helps pets feel safe and secure while their owners are away. I also provide updates so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are being well cared for. In addition to pet care, I am happy to help with basic house-sitting tasks such as bringing in mail, watering plants, taking out trash, and helping maintain the home while you're away.

Pet care experience
I've been around cats my entire life and currently share my home with two cats, Oscar Wilde and Dorian Gray. Growing up, cats were always part of the family. One of my most memorable experiences was helping care for a mother cat and her seven kittens after we rescued them from my grandmother's farm. Since then, I've cared for many cats with a wide range of personalities, temperaments, and needs. In addition to caring for cats, I've looked after dogs for friends and family, ranging from small Yorkiepoos to large German Shepherds. My experience includes walking dogs, providing daily care, staying in owners' homes for extended periods, and taking dogs on hikes and outdoor adventures to keep them active and engaged. I believe pets thrive with a balance of affection, play, consistency, and structure. Every pet has a unique personality, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one special while ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

Kayla has a long history of loving and caring for pets. Since childhood she has cared for pets of her own and often volunteered to extend that care to others. She is very reliable and never harsh or abusive with any animal. She understands that pets have not just the physical needs of food, water and shelter, but emotional needs as well. Through gentleness of both touch and tone of voice, she is great at making them feel loved and appreciated.
Kayla is wonderful with pets, and just animals in general. She watched our dog and cat (and many other exotics) for a week while we were gone, and many other times as well. She is attentive, follows instructions and went above and goes above and beyond with her care. She will send all the photos and keep you update with how the pets are doing. Kayla is our first to when it comes to pet care.
