About: I have always had a love for all pets and have always had dogs in my family home ! I always look foward to meeting new furry friends and caring for them as if they were my own ! I’m currently not working at the time and with the weather slowly warming up I have a lot of free time to walk your pups , play ,etc ! Keeping your pets safe is my number 1 priority! I don’t have a yard unfortunately but a lot of parks and trails along Quinsigamond where I live along with a great field that I go to often with my dog and great neighbors with great dogs !

Our dog is a handful and Gabriela has done such an amazing job with him. She is incredibly patient and goes over the top to make sure Bruno is able to get all of his energy (and he has a LOT of it) out during their mid-day walks. She has even stayed over their allotted time if he needs a little extra time to get settled back in after their walk, giving him lots of water and treats to hold him over until we get home. So happy we found Gabriela!

Louca worked wonders for us and our super reactive miniature dachshund. His patience, knowledge, and professional and positive attitude were a huge relief after searching for and failing to find someone to look after our dog when we were away for short periods. Louca has given us so much hope for our little puppy’s future and we look forward to working with him again! Thank you Louca !!

About: My family has only adopted dogs from shelters, so I know the trials and tribulations that come with sweet pups who need love. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have experienced many different behaviors. I am currently on summer break from school, so my availability is extremely flexible! I’m open to any time of day you may need. I am willing to accommodate however you prefer to have your dog treated. I will provide love, compassion, and kindness to gain both your trust and your dog’s.

About: I bring a gentle, vet‑tech‑in‑training approach to dogs, focusing on routines, comfort, and positive energy. There isn't a breed or size that intimidates me, I love all furry-friends the same. I’m not working right now, and during the fall semester I’ll be in classes Monday through Friday from 8am–4pm. Outside of school hours, I have plenty of time for pet care, and I may also work part‑time at the vet hospital on weekends. I keep my schedule organized so I can give your pet consistent attention and care. My apartment is fully pet‑proofed with no access to harmful materials like toxic plants or trash. I also have access to a large enclosed dog park at my apartment for safe outdoor time. I like to know your pet’s veterinarian as a precaution, so I can make sure I’m prepared and informed while caring for them.

About: Is your pup a social eater who gets a little sad when their humans are away? Don’t worry—I’m more than happy to sit on the floor with them, offer some calm encouragement, and help them feel comfortable enough to eat at their own pace. Maybe your senior cat needs medication, injections, or someone to keep a close eye on their resting respiratory rate, appetite, water intake, or other important health changes. Or maybe your furry family member simply needs someone to stop by for fresh food and water, playtime, and plenty of snuggles while you’re away. Whatever your pet’s needs, I’ll care for them with the same dedication and attention I give my own. I have extensive experience caring for both cats and dogs, including seniors and pets with complex medical needs. I’m comfortable administering medications, giving injections, following detailed care instructions, and adapting to each pet’s unique routine. If your pet has a specific schedule or care plan, I’m happy to follow it closely to keep their routine as familiar and stress-free as possible. Whether your pet needs extra patience, a calm presence, or specialized care, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I also lived with veterinarians for 15 years, where I gained invaluable practical knowledge about animal behavior, common medical conditions, and the subtle changes that can signal something isn’t quite right. While I’m not a veterinarian, I learned what situations should prompt a call to you or your veterinarian, along with countless practical tips for safely handling and caring for pets. I know how much trust it takes to leave someone else with a member of your family. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your pet will receive the same kindness, patience, attention, and respect I would want for my own. My goal is to match your pet's routine as much as possible while you are away, and my schedule reflects that. In addition to pet sitting, I care for an elderly family member, which allows for a lot of flexibility. I’m happy to come to your home, where your pet is most comfortable and their routine stays as normal as possible. My goal is to earn your cat or dog’s trust so they see my visits as something to look forward to while they’re missing their favorite people. With cats, I let them set the pace. I wait for them to approach, sniff me, and decide when they’re ready to say hello. Dogs are usually much more social, but I still like to get down to their level and let them get to know me before we jump into playtime or a walk. Trust is everything—both for your pets and for you. I want you to feel confident that your furry family member is safe, happy, and cared for just the way you would care for them yourself.

About: In my near decade of experience as a pet sitter and owner, I’ve cared for dozens of animals ranging in age, size, and species. Throughout my life I’ve owned and fostered dogs of all breeds ranging from Mini Schnauzers and beagles to pitbulls and Great Danes. I am especially comfortable handing nervous and reactive dogs on walks, seeing as I am physically fit and have experience with rehabilitating abused and neglected canines. As a feline caretaker, I primarily have experience with senior cats and energetic kittens under a year old. When it comes to reptiles, I’ve had the great pleasure of caring for leopard and Mediterranean geckos, as well as bearded dragon lizards, and am comfortable with feeding them live meals as required. Finally, in the realm of fish, I’m well versed in caring for freshwater fish such as gold fish and betas, and am skilled at monitoring a tank’s ecosystem and water quality. I’m currently a self employed artist running my own small business, so I have an incredibly flexible schedule and plenty of freedom to spend time caring for your furry or scaly friends! I care for the pets in your home by providing them with consistent meals, regular exercise/stimulation, and dedicated comfort and companionship during the their family’s time away from home. While in my care, I closely monitor your pet’s health and mood to ensure that all of their physical and emotional needs are being met throughout the day.

About: I have loved and cared for dogs since I was a child. My family dog was part of my life from when I was young until she passed away at 16 years old, so I understand how important pets are to a family. I have experience feeding, walking, and playing with dogs, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I also have three pets of my own, but they are currently living with my family while I am living in Massachusetts. I work part-time and have flexible availability for dog walking and pet care. I’m responsible, patient, and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. About: I've been around cats my entire life and currently share my home with two cats, Oscar Wilde and Dorian Gray. Growing up, cats were always part of the family. One of my most memorable experiences was helping care for a mother cat and her seven kittens after we rescued them from my grandmother's farm. Since then, I've cared for many cats with a wide range of personalities, temperaments, and needs. In addition to caring for cats, I've looked after dogs for friends and family, ranging from small Yorkiepoos to large German Shepherds. My experience includes walking dogs, providing daily care, staying in owners' homes for extended periods, and taking dogs on hikes and outdoor adventures to keep them active and engaged. I believe pets thrive with a balance of affection, play, consistency, and structure. Every pet has a unique personality, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one special while ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I am currently finishing my degree and preparing to start my professional career, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. Outside of school, I help care for my nephews once a week and play volleyball a few times each week. Because my schedule is flexible, I can often accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including multiple drop-in visits throughout the day. I understand how important consistency and attention are for pets, and I'm happy to work with each client's schedule to ensure their pets receive the care, companionship, and routine they're used to while their owners are away. While I am unable to host pets in my home due to HOA restrictions, I am happy to care for pets in their own home where they can remain comfortable in a familiar environment. When house sitting, I make it a priority to follow each pet's established routine, including feeding schedules, medication needs, exercise, playtime, and any household rules. I understand that consistency helps pets feel safe and secure while their owners are away. I also provide updates so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are being well cared for. In addition to pet care, I am happy to help with basic house-sitting tasks such as bringing in mail, watering plants, taking out trash, and helping maintain the home while you're away.

About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life, growing up with two dogs, two cats, and even turtles and birds. Throughout high school, I cared for my neighbors' dogs and cats and regularly looked after my extended families pets while they were away, this gave me years of hands on experience with animals of all kinds. I have experience with fostering animals so I have taken care of blind dogs, dogs with diabetes and other disabilities that I am familiar with. I currently work part time at a grocery store, I don’t get a lot of hours so I have a lot of free time! I love animals so I make time for them at all times of the week :). I have a dog park at my apartment that many dogs i have watched loved to run around and play with the other dogs in. My apartment is also very spacious so cats and dogs have plenty of roaming space. I often make sure I get used to any animals environment fast, check out their favorite spots and make sure they’re as comfortable as possible while I am around them!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
