About: My husband Lonnie, and I will be the care team for your dog, whether they are staying for a few hours or a few days. We are a pup-loving family looking into fostering or adopting a dog in the long-term. We've had pet hamsters, a hedgehog and bunny but our kids (10, 12 and 15) have wanted a dog for years. In our last neighborhood we signed up as puppysitters and hosted a few different dogs, started walking others, and generally tried to give our kids as much experience with them as possible to test the waters! Now that we live in a big house with a large fenced yard and quiet neighborhood, we would love to welcome your pup into our home for a day, a weekend or a longer stay full of love, hugs, play and walkies. We are still fairly new to the dog-sitting game but we are eager to hear from you and learn how to care for your dog the way you do at home. I work two days a week as a supply teacher, and my husband works remotely from home, so most days there will be 2 adults around to play with your pup! We have three kids between the ages of 10-15; two boys and a girl. They are all eager to spend time with your dog, and help us out with walks, potty breaks, playtime and quiet cuddles. We have a large, fenced yard and plenty of room in the house for your dog's crate and favourite nap mats. If your dog is used to being allowed on furniture or beds, we will allow it in our home too. There will always be somebody home to walk your dog in the mornings, during the day, after school or in the evening. On weekends we will clear our schedules so that we are all available as a family, and during the week there will be 1-2 parents home until school finishes, and then 3 kids home to play after that!

My family and I were unable to have a dog growing up, so I throughly enjoy the chance to be able to watch and take care of yours. This was Milo’s first stay with Dawn. My regular dog sitter was away so I reached out to find a back-up. Dawn was very responsive and was able to schedule a meet-and-greet within a few days, which went well. Their home has a fantastic backyard that’s perfect for running and playing, and Milo got plenty of outdoor time and activity during his stay. Milo is an anxious dog, so being in a new environment was definitely a little challenging for him. Dawn, Kevin, and the kids were incredibly patient and gave him lots of TLC. They even went the extra mile and put down blankets and rugs when Milo was hesitant to walk on the wood floors! It was clear that they genuinely cared about making Milo feel comfortable and safe. I really appreciated the patience and kindness they showed him, and I would definitely have Milo stay with them again in the future!
1st time long term boarding and everything went perfectly. Paola and Margav kept us updated daily (including with photos and videos) on how things were going. Cody had a terrific time, was well cared for, lots of personal interaction with Paola and Margav and got to play every day with his regular daycare dog friends and other boarders which greatly helped him make an easy adjustment. This experience was far far better (for him and us) than boarding at a commercial pet care facility and we will absolutely go this was on all future boarding requirements. Carrington took such great care of our toy poodle, Teddy, while we were away from 7/06–7/13. She was wonderful from the very first meet-and-greet and made us feel completely comfortable leaving Teddy in her care.
