About: As a child, I was the neighborhood pet sitter. As an adult, I have vast experience caring for animals. For 25 years, I did pet sitting and house sitting in the Boston area before moving to Puerto Rico 13 years ago. The first month I lived there, I found a box of kittens in the road. I have been a rescuer since, being one of few who take on the most challenging cases. I have saved hundreds, if not thousands, of dogs and cats over the years and I have seen it all. Nothing intimidates me or grosses me out. I will give baths, dispense medications, clean up accidents, whatever is needed. I am 58 years old and am very reliable and trustworthy. I am 58 years old and do not work anymore so my availability is wide open. I do sometimes go to Puerto Rico where I am in the process of selling my home but the dates for those trips are flexible. I generally find that caring for pets in their own home is ideal as they really do appreciate routine, stability, and a familiar environment. However, I am certainly willing to care for them in my home as well and offer a fully fenced in back yard for dogs. There is an 11 lb dog at my house but he is used to cats and dogs coming and going so he should not pose a problem (or I can separate them, if preferred). In terms of routine, I am willing to adapt to whatever you have established and have no problem with giving medications, baths, or any other special care needed. With 13 years of rescuing in Puerto Rico and 25 years of pet care before that, I have seen it all (and nothing grosses me out!). If you like frequent updates and photos, no problem. If you like to relax and not think about home when you are away, no problem. Your beloved pets are in safe, loving hands.

You just don’t get that from a boarding place even though they promise that. Tootsie is a rather “needy” dog but like a 2nd child. I could tell she was well taken care of. 1st time long term boarding and everything went perfectly. Paola and Margav kept us updated daily (including with photos and videos) on how things were going. Cody had a terrific time, was well cared for, lots of personal interaction with Paola and Margav and got to play every day with his regular daycare dog friends and other boarders which greatly helped him make an easy adjustment. This experience was far far better (for him and us) than boarding at a commercial pet care facility and we will absolutely go this was on all future boarding requirements. I can’t thank Paola and Margav enough for making this so easy and stress free.

Carrington took such great care of our toy poodle, Teddy, while we were away from 7/06–7/13. She was wonderful from the very first meet-and-greet and made us feel completely comfortable leaving Teddy in her care. Throughout his stay, she kept us updated with messages and photos, which we really appreciated. It was clear that Teddy was happy, well cared for, and getting lots of attention. Carrington truly went above and beyond our expectations, and we’re so grateful for everything she did. We would absolutely book with her again!
