Availability

Although caring for pets is fun, it is a job and I treat it with the upmost respect and professionalism. I work from home so I am available all day and dogs are not left unattended. This does enforce the need for scheduling of pickup and drop off times accordingly. We prefer latest pickup be 8pm and if later is required please add an additional night and pickup early morning. Drop off and pickup times are flexible but MUST be pre-arranged.

Information Briana R. would like to know about your pet

I feel the most important things to ask (besides the food, schedule, rules) is the dogs favorite activity. Although its always great for your dog to experience new things, its great to have an old favorite in your back pocket in case you need to help them relax or feel more at home. Of course, knowing their favorite treat is never a bad thing either. Please upload a picture of your dogs up to date proof of vaccines directly into your pets rover profile so it is on record. I will also provide my services agreement for signature. A trial night or weekend can always be arranged to help as a trial run for a longer stay. It is also required of each pet owner to disclose any bad behaviors prior to the booking of the stay, after all, no one is perfect :) NOTE: MA law requires all dogs to have a valid rabies certificate and dog license on file, I will not accept your dog unless this is included no less than 7 days prior to drop off. I also require completion of my 2 forms (emergency form and client agreement). Lastly, an ID tag must be present on the dogs collar unless the dog is microchipped.

A typical day

Typically walking is not included as the yard is so large, it's really not necessary. Our guests have outside plenty of supervised playtime in our yard area during a day, weather permitting. Dogs from other households are accepted simultaneously alongside resident dogs and dogs are allowed fully supervised comingling.

Pet care experience

I am a long time dog owner with extensive sitting experience for all breeds and sizes. My family and I would love the opportunity to make your dog feel at home while your away. My home consists of myself, my husband, daughter (16) and our 2 friendly and playful dogs, a Newfoundland and a German Shepherd. Please do not allow their size to be off-putting to you, they are wonderful with dogs large and small, as you can see in our pictures. Macie, my newf, really enjoys playtime with small pups and she's the most gentle giant of them all! I have owned previously; a beagle, a lab, another german shepherd and a mixed breed lab, whom I owned until old age. Prior to COVID, I was a volunteer dog walker and helper at Buddy dog humane society which has given me ample experience in dealing with puppies, seniors and difficult dogs as well. I am certified in First Aid and CPR for pets. Our dogs are a very important part of our family. I am willing to watch dogs for overnight stays in my home. I can also pick up and drop off or perform drop in visit within a 15 minute radius. When your dogs stays with us, we guarantee to provide plenty of time for playtime both inside and out, weather permitting. We have a large, fenced yard with double gated entry. I do allow dogs on the furniture. At night, our dogs sleep in our bedroom and our guests are welcome to as well unless they prefer their own space, crate, etc. We have a few large in house crates that are sanitized between uses so no need to lug yours over for the stay (if needed and ONLY if a dog already uses a crate at home). We want them to feel like part of the family while they stay here whether for a night or a few weeks! I am available for cat drop in visits and both boarding or drop ins for rabbits, birds and exotic animals (in cages only). I have owned reptiles, birds, ferrets, and rabbits. Have you ever had to give a ferret medication? Its certainly an interesting task, lol! Thanks for the opportunity to provide your dog (or other pets) with love and affection while your away :) Side note: I try to keep my calendar as up to date as possible but feel free to reach out with inquiries on dates before you solidify your trip to lock in your dates 😀 My husband is also on Rover for drop in and walking services and may assist when necessary. Feel free to meet us both for your pet care needs! NOTE: MA law requires all dogs to have a valid rabies certificate and dog license on file, I will not accept your dog unless this is included 7 days prior to drop off. I also require completion of my 2 forms (emergency form and client agreement). Lastly, an ID tag must be present on the dogs collar unless the dog is microchipped. Due to my busy family and boarding schedule, I try and do meet and greets ONLY once or twice monthly. It is greatly appreciated when new customers reach out a month or two ahead of their requested dates to fit into my preset meet and greet dates. Also, alot of times, a trial night stay of 1 night can be very beneficial to the pup so reaching out in advance is great for this purpose too. Meet and greets are held outside and a tour of the house is not included for personal security and liability reasons.

My Chihuahua mix Billy has boarded at Briana’s place three times in the last few months. I feel absolutely at-ease knowing he is well cared for and she sends the best pictures of him having fun in her home. Would highly recommend and already have Briana booked for future trips.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Briana was with our elderly greyhound. We were away for two weeks and she was so careful and thoughtful about his care. We will be calling her again!
