“Su is the absolute best! We had him care for our 10 year old Husky for 2 weeks and he was so great about updates, walks, food, treats, and play time. We also couldn’t pick him up on the scheduled date and Su was so helpful and flexible to keep him an extra night. We are so grateful and highly recommend Su. We look forward to the future stays!”

“Yulia took great care of my Barron and always responded quickly to all messages. She was also so kind and flexible when my pickup time was delayed due to traffic! I would recommend Yulia to others. Thank you!”

“Thank you Hong and Yuen for being so kind and understanding of Brady’s health needs. Thank you for administering his medication and tolerating his skin issue. And thank you for communicating so well during his stay. I give you the highest recommendation! Michele”
“Big thanks to Robert and Jen for taking care of Cheerio over the weekend. They are very kind hosts and love dogs. They sent photos of Cheerio playing, walking, chilling, we were so happy during our trip that he had lots of fun at Robert's home. We will come back for sure.”

“Chester is a senior and still recovering from CCL surgery, so we were concerned about leaving him. Rebeca came highly recommended and we are happy to add our recommendation. Rebeca and her family were patient and accommodating to ensure Chester was comfortable and stayed within his activity limits (so important for recovery). She also sent pictures every day. We have already booked another overnight stay and we highly recommend Rebeca.”

“Briana took amazing care of our pup Chase for nine days in June 2021 and we couldn't be more grateful! She is an all-around dog expert, and the friendliest person you'll meet. Briana took the time to send us daily updates, along with pictures and videos, which eased our anxiety (it's our first time away from our first dog) and proved that we chose the right person for the job. FIVE STARS all the way !!!”

“Barbara was incredible - she was easy to coordinate and communicate with, sent plenty of photos and updates throughout his stay, and gave him lots of care and affection.”

“Kim treats my dog Ziggy with care and affection - and her 2 dogs are perfect companions/company for Ziggy to play with. She really understands the needs of dogs and I feel 100% comfortable with her care. I also look forward to receiving her cute, playful photos with colorful captioning..”

“Nancy did a great job with my two mid-sized dogs. They hadn't been to a sitter much - she made the feel right at home. Her home is cozy and warm (it is 2/10 as I write this, and 28 degrees out), she sent me pictures of the dogs snuggled up in a dog bed (the shy one) and getting love from a visitor (the people- oriented dog). I made my dogs' food myself, and Nancy had no problem with mixing it as needed. Nancy was also flexible about pick-up time, when my plans changed unexpectedly. Two thumbs up for Nancy and Rover!”

“This is the second time we have Monet at Marissa’s place. She took a great care of Monet. And from Marissa’s photos, we could tell that Monet was enjoying the stay so much! Thank you!”

“Julie was amazing! She sent us pictures of Pepés adventures and told us about all the fun things they did. It was like a luxury vacation for pepé, he loved it. We will be return customers!”

“It's always hard to leave your dog behind while on vacation but I instantly felt as ease as soon as I dropped my baby boi off. He had an amazing time and the daily photos and updates were much appreciated. And because he was so well taken care of, I could fully enjoy my trip. I highly recommend.”

“Betsy and her family were wonderful hosts for our pup. Betsy sent pics and videos, and Ronja seemed to have a fantastic time. Great communication, we felt safe leaving our dog in Betsy's care.”

“Paul is just the best. He is always the first person whose availability we check when we are traveling. All three of our dogs have loved going to Paul's for a staycation while we are out of town. We get frequent updates throughout their stay and the pups come back to us happy and healthy. You can tell how much Paul cares about animals and how intentional he is in making sure their every need is met. I cannot recommend highly enough! Would give 6 stars if it were possible.”

“This is the second time Jennifer has watched our pup Tashi. She was also able to watch his buddy Murphy, a 13 year old Wheaten Terrier. Murphy is an older pup and needed additional care with more frequent potty outings, 3 different daily hand fed medication, and extra belly rubs! Jennifer did it all and more. She is great with the pups and reached out frequently with questions to ensure things were done correctly. She sends photos and updates through the day. It is so nice and relaxing to know your pup will be well taken care of when you have to be away from them.”

“Angelina took great care of Lucy for their day together. She sent multiple photos during the afternoon and is great with her communication. Lucy came back happy and had a great time playing with her pup. I’ll definitely use Angelina again in the future.”

“Rebecca is absolutely wonderful and we are so lucky we found her to help take care of our dog Winnie when we were out of town. She went out of her way making sure Winnie felt loved and took great care of her for us. She kept in touch with us and we did not worry for a second knowing Winnie was in great hands. I cannot recommend Rebecca enough!”

About: I’ve always loved dogs and cats 😁. I like to think I am very reliable and genuinely care. While I’m walking a dog I carry poop baggies, water and a water bowl, and a ball/toys. When I board dogs I use the same things. I’m open and flexible to accommodate whatever your dog or cat needs. I also of course am well versed in dog language so I’m able to know what your dog is trying to tell me. (I also know that the rates are high so I’m always willing to negotiate if you don’t want to pay the exact set price 😁.) I’m pretty flexible with time. I’m free after 4-5 weekdays and free all day on the weekends. For dog boarding there is always someone at my house for the part of the day I’m not there, (and she of course loves dogs 😁.) I have a nice big unfenced yard, and a small portion of the yard fenced. There are also lot of parks (Audubon) and tons of great paths to walk dogs in my area.
“Holly kindly took Teddy in at the last minute for a few days. Teddy had so much fun playing with Holly’s dog. Holly was kind and kept us updated every day. I hope to send Teddy to Holly’s again!”

Megan was absolutely outstanding! She watched our 15 year old dog for 12 days while we were away, and we couldn't have asked for better care. She sent lots of photos and updates, gave all of his medications right on schedule, and was very responsive and responsible throughout. The biggest testament to how comfortable Riley was is that he had no accidents or diarrhea during his stay—something that usually happens when he's anxious or unhappy. It was clear he felt safe and loved. Her kids were also so sweet and gentle with him. We would trust Megan with Riley again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
