Caring for Dogs Like They’re My Own

Hi! My name is Xiaoxue and I go by Phoebe. With over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats, I understand that every pet has their own personality, needs, and routines. I’ve raised my own dog and cat from puppyhood and kittenhood into healthy, happy adults, and I’ve also cared for the pets of friends, neighbors, and family over the years—ranging from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing extra support. Occasionally assisted by my husband, whether it’s daily walks, medication administration, special diets, or just lots of love and playtime, I tailor my care to ensure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy in my care. I treat every animal like my own—with patience, attentiveness, and genuine affection. Your pet’s well-being and happiness are my top priorities. Ready to spoil your pets with love, attention, and treats (if allowed)!

Xiaoxue was a life saver. My wife and I are traveling and she fell and broke her hip. So I needed someone right away to help look after our dog. Xiaoxue accommodated us right away. And she was flexible when we needed help longer than we originally expected. She gave our dog good walks and lots of loving. And she kept in touch with pictures to let us know how he was doing. We would absolutely recommend her as a great caretaker!

I will hire Phoebe again and my cat Schumer agrees. She communicated regularly, sent great photos, made sure Schumer had everything he needed. Thank you!

Schedule

Pet care is woven into my daily routine. I work from home, which means I’m able to give pets consistent attention, companionship, and care throughout the day—not just during scheduled visits. Whether it’s my own dog and cat or pets I’m caring for, I build my day around walks, feedings, playtime, and snuggles. Being home also means I can keep a close eye on pets, quickly respond to their needs, and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved all day long. Pet care isn’t just something I do—it’s a lifestyle I truly enjoy.

Safety, trust & environment

In my home, pets have plenty of space to roam, relax, and feel right at home. I have a calm, pet-friendly environment with one gentle dog and one laid-back cat who both get along well with others. While my yard is unfenced, all outdoor time is supervised, and walks are part of the daily routine. I make sure visiting pets get the same love, structure, and attention as my own—whether that’s playtime, cuddles, or just a quiet spot to nap.

Pets

A typical day

Since I work from home, pets stay close by throughout the day and get lots of attention and interaction. We usually start with a morning walk to stretch our legs and sniff around the neighborhood. After breakfast, there’s plenty of playtime—whether it’s fetch in the yard, puzzle toys, or just some good old belly rubs. Midday, we might head to the park for a walk or some off-leash fun (if allowed), followed by quiet time and naps in sunny spots. I make sure to keep pets on their usual routines—meals, potty breaks, meds if needed—and send updates with photos so you can see all the fun. Evenings usually include another walk, more playtime, and then winding down with some snuggles before bedtime. Whether your pet loves zoomies or just hanging out, I tailor activities to their energy level and comfort. My goal is to make them feel at home and loved every step of the way!

Before caring for your pet, I like to know a few important details so I can make their stay as safe and comfortable as possible! 🦴 Daily Routine – Feeding schedule, walk times, nap habits, and anything else that helps them feel at home. 😌 Temperament & Socialization – How they usually behave around new people, dogs, cats, or children. 💊 Medical Needs – Any medications, allergies, dietary restrictions, or health conditions to be aware of. 🚫 Triggers or Fears – Are they afraid of storms, loud noises, or certain situations? This helps me support them better. 🐾 Commands & Training – What commands they know (or are learning) and what behavior you’re reinforcing. 💩 Potty Preferences – Their potty schedule, signals, and whether they’re crate trained or not. The more I know, the better I can tailor care to their needs—just like you would! 😊
