I have experience caring for dogs of various breeds, ages, sizes, and temperaments. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn about their routines, commands, preferences, and behaviors before their stay. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, playful, or enjoys a quieter environment, we adapt our care to help them feel right at home. My goal is to create an stress-free experience for both pets and their owners by providing dependable, attentive, and personalized care. Plenty of walks, playtime, cuddles (when welcomed), and individualized attention are all part of the experience. I have a 9 years old, friendly doodle to keep your furry family member company while you are away. I can crate or provide a calm private space, if needed.

About: Along with growing up with two dogs and helping to raise a puppy as a teenager, family friends and neighbors have relied on me to take care of their dogs and cats since I was ten. I've worked with all types of dogs, from Shih Tzus to Pit Bull mixes. I'm the one in my family who takes the dogs out on long hikes (or for short walks around the block once they get older), brushes their teeth and fur, gives them baths, and trims their nails. I'm a regular volunteer at cat shelters in cat care, and as a student on the pre-veterinary track, I have shadowed and volunteered at vet clinics to better understand the care that goes into your pets' health. Besides dogs and cats, I also have experience with a myriad of animals, such as hamsters, rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, mice, fish, hermit crabs, geckos, snakes, tortoises, and turtles. I have experience in preparing special diets for pets and other animals with specific health needs, and in senior dog care. Over the summer, I work at my internships in animal care for much of the work day, but that leaves afternoons, evenings, and early mornings for me to check in on your pets and give any care they need (breakfast/dinner, walks, baths, etc.). Over the school year, I will have more hours available to fit in more time with your pets (i.e. walking and bathing/grooming, more playtime, etc.). As a lover of all creatures, I take the safety of both pets and wildlife seriously. As such, I will always supervise pets that are outside in yards and keep them on leashes outside fenced-off areas so they are not a danger to others or themselves. If transporting pets in my car, I will keep them safe and secure in a carrier/crate. As a college student who has shared living spaces with new people before, I understand the importance of respecting others' belongings and boundaries. During drop-in visits, I will be sure to respect your home and any rules you may have for your comfort (i.e. no shoes in the house, specific dishes/silverware for pets only, general cleanliness, etc.).

Tony is a quirky dog, and she tends to every need he has, paying close attention. Both dogs adore her, and it shows by how happy and relaxed they are when they see her. She’s extremely reliable and always shows up on time. On top of that, she’s completely focused on whatever the dogs need. I especially love that after every visit, she provides thoughtful updates, including bathroom breaks, activities, and how much they’ve eaten, which is very helpful.”

While I am unavailable on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I strive to be as available as possible on other days to provide reliable care, exercise, and attention for your pets. I understand that every dog has their own routine, personality, and needs, and I take the time to follow your instructions carefully to help them feel comfortable and secure. During walks, I prioritize leash safety, pay close attention to my surroundings, and make sure your dog gets the exercise and attention they need. For drop-in visits, I’ll ensure your pet is cared for according to their normal routine, including feeding, water, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of affection. I also believe in keeping owners updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
