About: I love all furry friends - I have a lovely cat, and I enjoy taking care of my friends’ puppies short or long terms. Taking them to long walks is my favorite part! I work on a flexible schedule, so I’m available on most weekday mornings or afternoons. I’d be ou-of-town on some weekends so pls let me know what’s your schedule like if pup needs walks on weekends! I have leashes (non-retractable) for small and medium dogs. I’m confident keeping pups of these sizes safe from traffic / other animals all the time. It’ll definitely be a plus if your pup know some commands!
“Lucy is absolutely amazing! Our dog typically is really nervous around new people when my husband and I are gone but she was super patient and loving with him and he warmed up to her right away! She also is very thorough with her visits which we were beyond thrilled to see in her pictures of our dog, videos, and end-of-visit summaries. We will definitely be booking her again!”

“Sally does such a great job with both our cat and dog. Sally walks our dog weekly and is always on time and super communicative. She’s also super reliable for random drop ins needed for our cat when I am out of town! Highly recommend Sally!”

About: I’m an experienced animal-care professional with hands-on experience supporting the daily care and facility operations of a high-volume rescue housing more than 100 dogs. My responsibilities included coordinating feeding schedules and outdoor rotations, maintaining clean and safe environments, assisting with dog handling, and helping prospective adopters during meet-and-greets. I understand that every dog has a different personality, comfort level, energy level, and routine. I prioritize safe handling, patience, clear communication, and following each owner’s instructions carefully. I’m comfortable working with dogs of different sizes and temperaments, while always being honest about whether a particular pet is a good match for my experience. I recently moved to Natick and am available for local dog walks and drop-in visits. I will provide dependable arrival updates, photos, and a detailed report after every visit so you know how your pet is doing. I currently have a flexible, open schedule and am available throughout the week for daytime and early evening visits. I plan to continue offering dog walks and drop-in care alongside my future work schedule. I provide care in and around each client’s home, following the owner’s instructions closely for feeding, water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and household access. I prioritize safe handling, secure leashes and doors, clear communication, and detailed photo updates after each visit.
“Linh is so good with our pups. They love having her come visit while we’re at work. Also she is flexible with her schedule with us which has helped so much. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who asks. We’re lucky to have found her in the area.”

“Wendy is kind and trustworthy. She took the time to get to know my dog and made sure she was comfortable at the first visit. My dog is a unique breed so I really appreciated the patience. She was very professional!”

“Great catsitter! Brittany looked after our two cats while we were away for a week and kept them well-fed, clean and happy. We really appreciated that she always kept us updated on how they were doing and sent us photos during her check-ins. She was communicative, respectful and proactive and was even able to accept a very last-minute drop-in visit request when our trip was unexpectedly delayed. We won't hesitate to reach out to her for our future petsitting needs!”

“Livia did an amazing job with my pup. He is nervous when meeting new people but with her he warmed up pretty quickly and did so well. Thank you so much and glad to add her to our caregiver team 😊”

“Danya did such a great job with our cats recently that we asked her to let our dog out and take him on a walk when we were away for the day. She was quick to respond and accommodated our day before ask. I loved the many photos Danya sent of her visit and our dog was very happy when we got home. It provides peace of mind to know we have someone reliable that can watch both our cats and dog now. Thanks again Danya!”

“Sarah did a fantastic job and was so kind and patient with my dog who has some reactivity issues. She came for a meet and greet and was very attentive to his behaviors and also took care of my cat. Looking forward to another visit in the future!”

“I’m incredibly grateful to Deirdre for stepping in on such short notice to care for my 80 lb German Shepherd puppy. It was our first time using this service and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was warm, professional, and attentive to my dog’s needs. Her thoughtful updates and excellent communication instantly put me at ease. I’m so happy to have found someone I can trust, and I look forward to reaching out to her for future visits!”

About: From my experience growing up with dogs, I will adequately walk, feed, and care for medium-small dogs. I have also provided in-home catsitting services while family-friends are away for up to two weeks at a time (feeding, playing, litter). I'm currently a college student in Fairfield, Connecticut. I'm looking for a job in pet care over school breaks in the summer and between semesters in the winter. About: Hi, I'm Amy! I'm a full-time teacher, lifelong dog owner, and Massachusetts-licensed kennel owner who provides a safe, loving home where dogs are treated like family. With a secure fenced yard, daily walks, and plenty of one-on-one attention, your pup will have a fun and comfortable stay. I’ve cared for animals my entire life, growing up with dogs, cats, horses, and other pets, and I regularly board and care for friends' and neighbors' dogs. I currently have a friendly one-year-old White Cream Retriever, Cooper, who loves other dogs, and two dog-friendly cats. I also recently completed a puppy training class, giving me experience with dogs of all ages and personalities. As an active runner and walker, I can provide plenty of exercise for energetic dogs while also creating a calm, cozy environment for those who prefer to relax. My husband and two responsible late-teen children also love animals, so visiting dogs receive lots of affection and supervision. I take the time to learn each dog's routine and will care for your pet with the same love and attention I give my own. I look forward to welcoming your furry family member into our home! As a full-time teacher and Massachusetts-licensed kennel owner, I have a very flexible schedule during the summer and am available for dog walking, drop-in visits, boarding, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I can often tailor my day to fit your pet's routine, whether that means early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening visits. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and provide dependable, attentive care tailored to each pet's needs. While I have a few short trips planned throughout the summer, my availability is otherwise wide open, and I'll always communicate any scheduling conflicts well in advance. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and cared for as if they were my own. 🐾 I provide attentive, reliable care for pets both in my home and in my clients’ homes, depending on what works best for each family. Animals have always been a huge part of my life—there has never been a time when I didn’t have cats or dogs to care for. Even during my time in the Peace Corps, I adopted and cared for several cats. Working with animals is something I genuinely love, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. In a client’s home, I make sure to follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I understand how important consistency is, so I stick to feeding schedules, walk times, and any specific instructions you provide. Whether it’s exercise, playtime, or simply companionship, I make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. If care takes place in my home, I offer a safe and welcoming environment. I have a fenced-in backyard for plenty of outdoor time, as well as a very friendly retriever who loves having company. I’m mindful about introductions and make sure all pets feel comfortable and secure. This past year, I also completed a puppy training course with my own dog, which strengthened my ability to reinforce good behavior, follow training routines, and work patiently with dogs of different temperaments and energy levels. Above all, I pride myself on being dependable and communicative. You can count on me to show up as promised, provide thoughtful care, and keep you updated so you have peace of mind while you’re away.

Isabella was an excellent pet sitter! She took wonderful care of my cats and gave them plenty of attention while I was away. She sent lots of photos and updates and spent quality time playing with them and making sure they were happy and comfortable. I truly appreciated her care and dedication, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

Charlene once again proved why she’s the only person we trust to care for our cat while we travel. During our recent trip to California to visit our son, she made sure our cat had consistent companionship, attention, and care throughout our time away. After years of using her services, we’ve come to rely on her not just for the essentials like food, water, and litter box maintenance, but for the genuine warmth and attentiveness she brings to every visit. Knowing our cat is in such loving hands makes it so much easier to be away and fully enjoy time with family. We can’t recommend Charlene highly enough.

Sally was wonderful. She kept the litter box clean and played with our friendly cat. She also was wonderful with our hostile cat, understanding of his anxiety and not afraid to tend to the house completely. She brought in our mail and made a key drop off and pick up plan on her own. We were so happy with her!

Sarah was extremely reliable and consistent, showing up daily as requested and letting us know what was happening with our animals while we were away. She went above and beyond her responsibilities and replaced batteries in the automated feeder for our rabbit. I would not hesitate to book Sarah again the next time we need a pet sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
