Trusted Teacher & Dog Care

Hi, I'm Amy! I'm a full-time teacher, lifelong dog owner, and Massachusetts-licensed kennel owner who provides a safe, loving home where dogs are treated like family. With a secure fenced yard, daily walks, and plenty of one-on-one attention, your pup will have a fun and comfortable stay. I’ve cared for animals my entire life, growing up with dogs, cats, horses, and other pets, and I regularly board and care for friends' and neighbors' dogs. I currently have a friendly one-year-old White Cream Retriever, Cooper, who loves other dogs, and two dog-friendly cats. I also recently completed a puppy training class, giving me experience with dogs of all ages and personalities. As an active runner and walker, I can provide plenty of exercise for energetic dogs while also creating a calm, cozy environment for those who prefer to relax. My husband and two responsible late-teen children also love animals, so visiting dogs receive lots of affection and supervision. I take the time to learn each dog's routine and will care for your pet with the same love and attention I give my own. I look forward to welcoming your furry family member into our home!

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I provide attentive, reliable care for pets both in my home and in my clients’ homes, depending on what works best for each family. Animals have always been a huge part of my life—there has never been a time when I didn’t have cats or dogs to care for. Even during my time in the Peace Corps, I adopted and cared for several cats. Working with animals is something I genuinely love, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. In a client’s home, I make sure to follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I understand how important consistency is, so I stick to feeding schedules, walk times, and any specific instructions you provide. Whether it’s exercise, playtime, or simply companionship, I make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. If care takes place in my home, I offer a safe and welcoming environment. I have a fenced-in backyard for plenty of outdoor time, as well as a very friendly retriever who loves having company. I’m mindful about introductions and make sure all pets feel comfortable and secure. This past year, I also completed a puppy training course with my own dog, which strengthened my ability to reinforce good behavior, follow training routines, and work patiently with dogs of different temperaments and energy levels. Above all, I pride myself on being dependable and communicative. You can count on me to show up as promised, provide thoughtful care, and keep you updated so you have peace of mind while you’re away.

Amy and her family took such good care of Meatball! We received daily updates. And Meatball loved playing with their dog Cooper.

I’ve known Amy for over 10 years, and she is one of the most responsible, caring, and trustworthy people I know. As a mom and teacher, she is naturally patient, dependable, and compassionate. She is incredibly loving with animals and has lots of experience caring for both her own pets and the pets of friends and neighbors. Amy is very active, loves being outside, and is a runner, which makes her a great fit for dog walking and pet sitting. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet caregiver.

Amy and her daughters are the best!!!! We know them on a personal level, as beloved neighbors who look out for our kids and are always involved and helping around the neighborhood. They are our go-to family for cat care whenever we're traveling. 100% reliable, trustworthy, and just kind and generous human beings. We have a special needs older cat, and Amy and her daughter were fantastic with administering medication (insulin injections). In addition to feeding and litter scoops, they go above and beyond, spending extra time giving our kitty affection and cuddles and always communicating with us any concerns. Definitely recommend :)

Schedule

As a full-time teacher and Massachusetts-licensed kennel owner, I have a very flexible schedule during the summer and am available for dog walking, drop-in visits, boarding, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I can often tailor my day to fit your pet's routine, whether that means early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening visits. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and provide dependable, attentive care tailored to each pet's needs. While I have a few short trips planned throughout the summer, my availability is otherwise wide open, and I'll always communicate any scheduling conflicts well in advance. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and cared for as if they were my own. 🐾

Before booking, I'd love to know a little about your dog: • Is your dog friendly with other dogs, cats, and children? • Has your dog ever shown any signs of aggression, resource guarding, or anxiety? • Are there any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or special care instructions I should know about? • What is your dog's typical daily routine for feeding, exercise, and sleeping? • Is your dog crate trained, house trained, and comfortable being left alone for short periods? • Are there any fears, triggers, or behaviors that help me better care for your dog? • What does your dog enjoy most? Walks, fetch, cuddles, playtime, etc.? The more I know about your dog ahead of time, the better I can make their stay safe, comfortable, and fun!
