“Aly is wonderful as always. She and her adorable daughter took great care of our cat while we traveled for over three weeks. Knowing that our cat is in caring hands gives us so much peace of mind when we are away. Plus, Aly always goes above and beyond. She even made extra trips to our house and when she discovered that our refrigerator had broken, she emptied it and prevented a bigger mess. We can’t thank her enough.”

“Thank you so much for bandits visit! Sarah and Ben are fantastic dog sitters that were very accommodating. Bandit seemed to really love his time there and didn’t want to come home from his vacation.”

About: Hi! I'm a dependable, caring animal lover who enjoys spending time with dogs of all sizes and personalities. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, a drop-in visit, or loving care while you're away, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I understand that every dog is different, so I take the time to learn their routine, energy level, and any special needs. My goal is to provide a stress-free experience for you and your dog. I'm recently retired and love to stay active. My family and I recently lost our dog after 12 years and are looking to fill the void she left. I will treat your dog like my own and will prioritize their safety and happiness. We have a very large fenced in yard for your furry friend to play in. I am new to in-home pet care but have had pets my entire life. I am very reliable and a strong believer in communication and timeliness. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a meet and greet! I am recently retired and am looking to fill a void in my life since the passing of my dog Pepper. I look forward to getting to know you and your dog(s) and will give them the same love and care that I've given to all of my past pets. I have a large fenced yard as well as well as a handful of hiking trails near my home. I look forward to making your dog feel comfortable with me and my family.
“Jacqueline and her daughter always take amazing care of my Mango! She always has a great time with them and the daily pictures and updates give me reassurance while I’m away. 10/10”

“Pearl seems to love staying with Sean and two sweet dogs. She has stayed twice and was in good form when I picked her up. I trust him to take good care of her. He is a genuine dog person I think”

About: I have have experience owning dogs from chihuahua size to vizsla size, and experience fostering/house sitting everything in between. I love dogs around here, and will be treated like family. Your pet will stay home with me and my 11 year vizsla all day. He/she will have immediate access to our 2 acre of wooded and yard property as often as needed. We also take 2-5 mile hikes often, and they are welcome to join. Your pet will have Watson, our super friendly and active 11 ye old Vizsla for company as well as 2acres to explore. Cold winter days are spent in front of a wood stove fire, and the rest of the time pets are welcome (if not encouraged!) to spend time on sofas and beds for snuggles and naps. Dogs are family here.
“Thank you Barb (and Chiquita) for taking great care of Andy the other day! Very much looking forward to having someone dependable nearby that I can entrust with my little man.”

“We have used many sitters for our dog, and Casey was at the top! She took excellent care of our boy while on vacation. Thank you Casey! We definitely recommend her and will dial her in the future.”

“Sara was absolutely wonderful to us and, most importantly, to our lab Greta. She has a fantastic setup for dogs and was very responsive and accommodating to us and our schedule.”

About: I have a 5-year-old border collie. He’s very friendly and loves to play with other dogs. I live in a town house so I don’t have a yard per say. I typically take my dog to parks/fields in Ashland to hike or run around. I typically walk my border collie about 4 miles a day as well. I work remote so I am usually home. Available 7 days a week. I usually go to the gym for a few hours each day but try to be home for my dog to keep him active as a herding dog (border collie) I will do 2 long walks per day typically (2 miles each). I will also take my dog and yours hiking or to a field/park but not a dog park. I can go to a fenced in field if needed for your dog. Mine doesn’t need a fence.
“Barley had an excellent time with John and Sharon while I was away for two weeks. She came home happy and healthy. I received many updates and photos and never once worried about her while I was gone. Thank you John and Sharon- Barley looks forward to seeing you soon.”

“Our cat seemed to have better time with Bo & Xiaosong than with us, which actually is better than we could ever have hoped! We received photos and videos of Toto during his stay, which was great. We would definitely rebook with them in the future!”

“Prior we had only left our 6-year old Havanese with a non-family member once, and we ended-up taking him to Angell Memorial hospital he was so sick and lethargic from poor care. When my grown son explained he could not take Luca during our summer vacation as planned, I considered staying home I was so concerned. After meeting Jhonnari and Mike I felt at ease. I received updates everyday and some great photos and videos letting us know how he was doing. Jhonnari is very knowledgeable and caring. Luca was healthy and happy when my daughter picked him up and he resumed his typical schedule with us immediately. Such a positive experience compared to our past experience. Luca was truly part of the family (including playing with his new friends waffles and wiggles) for the two weeks we were away. It make our vacation better knowing he was well cared for and having his own little vacation. My family can't recommend Jhonnari and Mike enough, what an amazing find. I will definitely use them again in the future!”

“Su is the absolute best! We had him care for our 10 year old Husky for 2 weeks and he was so great about updates, walks, food, treats, and play time. We also couldn’t pick him up on the scheduled date and Su was so helpful and flexible to keep him an extra night. We are so grateful and highly recommend Su. We look forward to the future stays!”

“Wanda seemed really kind and caring from the second Koda met her! She took care of him for a week while we were on vacation and it seems like he had a great time playing with Wanda’s pup, Casey. It would be nice if Wanda provided more daily updates, I had to ask a few times to see how he was doing. Overall, Wanda seems like a very kind and reliable sitter.”

“Emily was wonderful! Our labs had a blast staying with her for the weekend, and we felt completely comfortable leaving our girls in her care. You can tell she’s a true animal lover, and she treated them like her own. We can’t wait to book with Emily again!”

“Jen and Dan were great; they responded to my inquiries promptly, and their flexibility was so helpful to my emergency trip. Their family welcome my pet, making this impromptu trip less stressful. Thank you”

“Jing is amazing. We had such a wonderful experience with her and her delightful family. I was comfortable from the minute we got there for drop off and never worried for a second the entire weekend. Jing sent a ton of really cute pictures throughout our stay with her and she was very communicative. I would use her again is a second!”

“Briana was so great with our anxious 5 year old boxer. She sent us updates and pictures everyday while he stayed with her for a week. Highly recommend Briana to anyone looking for someone to care for your pet. We will definitely use her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Holliston
Angela is so kind, upbeat and clearly a dog lover. I felt immediately comfortable leaving Rosie with her. She answered all my questions, asked us all the right questions about Rosie's care, sent us photos while we were away and was very flexible and accommodating when we were coordinating drop off and pick up. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Marina took incredible care of our dog, Penny, during an extended stay, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. It gave us such peace of mind knowing Penny was in such caring, attentive, and trustworthy hands while we were away. We are so grateful to Marina for treating Penny like one of her own and would recommend her without hesitation!

Paula was so great to our boys. She sent daily pictures and updates. We felt so at ease knowing she was taking care of them. We have senior dogs so we were always wondering how they were doing. She provided such good care and made sure they felt like they were home. We would love to have her take care of our boys again!!! Highly recommend her!!!

Angelica and her dogs are great companions for your pup when you're away. She knows dogs and how to read them. She was very accommodating and friendly, and sent multiple photographs of all the dogs happily playing in her large yard. I will be using her services again in the future. Thanks!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
