“Adonis was with Julie for a 2 week stay and had a blast! He quickly settled into her house and almost immediately took ownership of protecting her from all squirrels and other animals outside the house. He loves to play and Julie was awesome about sending us pictures of his stay with her. She was great with his food and even went the extra mile to feed him alternate food when he was not eating one day. Adonis bonded with Julie and we would love to have him stay with her again!”

“Bridget was fabulous. Blue had some digestive issues. We communicated with Bridget ahead of time and she was extremely supportive and helpful. She administered new food and medicine while Blue was there. She is an absolute pro and awesome to work with!”

“As I was setting up the booking, Jacqueline gave me great confidence in her ability to take care of my doggos through her messages. During drop off, Jacqueline and her daughter were very thorough and very professional. During my dogs stay, I would text her to see how were things going and she would reply quickly with texts and pictures.”

“Alex took amazing care of Gretta during her stay. He is incredibly kind, patient and thoughtful. He sent us amazing photos and videos. It's clear he truly loves dogs but also just an incredible human !!! I can't recommend him enough”

“Jhonnari and Mike are the best! They provided us with lots of updates and made us feel very at ease while away from our dogs. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a sitter.”

About: I am CPR and animal care certified. I have also been a volunteer with many rescues over the past 10 years. In rescue, I specialize in socializing kittens and cats but have also taken on seniors with medical disabilities. I have trained puppies on basic commands. I have multiple years experience giving medications to dogs and cats. I am available for drop ins, walking, pack walks / hikes from 1pm to 10pm Monday through Friday and am available for all your pets needs on the weekends. Ideally I am available to walk your pup, let them out, feed them and take the on a nice hike if weather permits. Ideally for cats, I can feed them, clean the litter box, administer medication and socialize with them. However, I am open to boarding dogs as well if your dog is dog, cat and kid friendly. Please reach out to discuss. I have a fully fenced in yard if your dog is residing in my home. I will care for your pet as if they are my own and for me, my pets are my kids. I will provide safe, comforting, attentive care for your pet and respect your space when in your home. I will maintain a clean environment in your home and in mine. For basic walks or drop in visits, I will leave the home how I found it or better.
“Leaving our dog with Liliya was easy and comfortable. She communicated well and sent us photos throughout each day. Most importantly our dog seemed happy and well cared for when we picked her up! We will definitely be back next time we need a dog sitter in her area!”

“John and Sharon have watched our boys a few times now and every time we pull up, the boys run in excited to see them. It’s such a relief to have such a loving home to leave our boys at when we travel. We know they are spoiled and happy!”

“My Dog Bella means the world to me. After booking with Lindsay, I have nothing but positive reviews for Bella’s stay. Her house, environment was clean. Lindsay was warm, professional and I could tell without a doubt that Bella would be safe and happy. In the future, I will use noone but Lindsay!! Five stars with ease!!!!”

“Samantha was so easy to work with and took great care of my senior small pup. I appreciated all of the photos and updates! I like how private Samantha's house is and how big the yard is. Thanks Samantha!”

“We can’t say enough good things about Bridget! She was very accommodating with a last minute booking and took the best care of our girl! Our dog had the best time based on the pics and videos we received. We will absolutely be a return pup :)”

“Jenna and Michael were wonderful. We are also sitters on Rover and probably have higher than average standards for our babygirl Sadie (~60 lb rescue). We first did a meet and greet and from the moment we meant them we knew they were good people. We had already meet four other sitters at this point and were starting to feel hopeless. Jenna and Michael were warm, and lovely from the start. Their home is spacious, their yard is BIG, and their own pup, Chase is adorable! Sadie got lots of exercise playing with Chase and going on walks. I was worried that Sadie would taunt their chickens the entire time (which she probably did) but they handled it with evident experience around this challenge. We would happily book with them again. Even though we had to drive 45 minutes to them, it was 100% worth it. Thank you, Jenna, Michael, and Chase.”

“Dogs came home happy and well balanced! Clearly they had been well cared for and given the proper amount of exercise. Kexin and Carlos sent lots of pictures and videos giving me a lot of confidence and comfort in knowing that selecting them was the right choice! My dogs loved their large, fenced in backyard! My 2 dogs got along beautifully with their dog and cats. They even added some healthy supplements to my dogs’ food that they add to their dog’s food! Will be using them again soon!”

About: I recently said goodbye to my feisty Bichon after 18 wonderful years. I cared for her from the time she was a puppy through her senior years and loved every minute of it. My home is located in a peaceful neighborhood at the end of a cul-de-sac, which offers many excellent routes for daily walks. I work mostly from home as a real estate agent and have a very flexible schedule. I am home in the mornings to drop the kids at school & home early most afternoons to meet them from the bus. Dogs will be left alone for 4-5 hours maximum. My property is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, far from any busy roads. It borders conservation land, which offers a very private and peaceful setting. I have two children, ages 11 and 15, who both adore animals. There are several dog walking routes located conveniently close to our home, and I currently have no other pets in the house. My home is also a non-smoking residence.
“This was the second boarding service with Stacy. Stacy was very considerate and did an incredible job of taking care of Charlie and Joey. I know my dogs loved to staying with Stacy because she has a fenced backyard and they love to running around off leash anytime they want. Highly recommend her!”
“I cannot say enough good things about Rebecca and her family. She made my dog Rosie feel like a member of the family from the beginning! Not only was Rebecca able to accommodate our last minute request, but she also clearly demonstrated experience with and a genuine love for dogs. She sent pictures and updates throughout the stay and made Rosie so comfortable. Rebecca will definitely be our go-to choice in the future!”

“Gus had a great time with Sara and her doggos! He came home tired and happy. During the heat wave, she kept them cool by filling up some kiddie pools and letting them play and splash around. The next time we go away, Gus will definitely enjoy staying with Sara again!”

Jessica was amazing with my giant, goofy lap dog! She was diligent and thoughtful in organizing our meet and greet with her adorable pup. She’s clearly experienced, caring, and responsible. I got some adorable pics of Marv having a swim in her back yard and he was happy and healthy as can be when I picked him up. I’d happily book with Jessica again on my next trip where Mr. Marv can’t join me 🐶☺️

Emily was fantastic with my dog, Ruby! I was honestly a bit nervous leaving her since she has separation anxiety and we were traveling into town for a wedding, but Emily’s clear and prompt communication beforehand immediately put me at ease. During Ruby’s stay, she sent lots of updates and photos, and it was obvious Ruby was having the best time. Ruby can be a finicky eater, and Emily somehow worked her magic and got her to eat, which is no small feat. She also had an amazing time playing with Emily’s smaller dog, Miley - they were such a great match! When I picked Ruby up in the evening, she was happy and tired in the best way. Emily provided a clean, safe environment with a fenced-in yard and was very flexible, which I really appreciated. Emily is incredibly kind, friendly, and clearly loves dogs. I would use her again in a heartbeat. I just wish we lived closer! Highly recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
