“Su is the absolute best! We had him care for our 10 year old Husky for 2 weeks and he was so great about updates, walks, food, treats, and play time. We also couldn’t pick him up on the scheduled date and Su was so helpful and flexible to keep him an extra night. We are so grateful and highly recommend Su. We look forward to the future stays!”

“Dana is the best sitter around! He went above and beyond when we forgot to bring a leash and bowl insisting he could take care of it and that he would buy a leash! He is so kind and understanding. Best of all, once again Bella absolutely loved her stay with Dana”

“Thank you for looking after our dogs! Ling and Ye sent lots of photos of our two midsize labradoodles on walks and getting cuddles during their stay. And they came home calm and relaxed afterwards - a sign that they were happy while during their stay. Our dogs can get nervous around large male dogs, but their dog Brody (large labradoodle) is a gentle giant who immediately got on with our dogs, but also gave them their own space. We appreciate Ling and Ye's kindness towards our dogs!”

“Meli was a great sitter! She’s very friendly and attentive. She also has great communication and gave us plenty of updates. I can tell our puppy had a great time while staying with her 😊”

“Thank you for being such a great host family for Jack.... Jack is a loving 5½ year old golden retriever that loves people. He doesn't visit other houses very often, & is rarely away from me. Although Jack was a bit nervous, going to a strange house with people he didn't know, this family made him feel at home. Phil went so far as to sleep on the couch in the same room as Jack. I will definitely use this family in the future & highly recommend them if your looking for a loving family for your pup.... Thank you again”

“Erin and her husband were amazing with our dog Winston! When we did our meet and greet, Winston took to them instantly especially Erin and made us feel so comfortable that he would be happy with them during our vacation. Erin sent us a video of their walk every morning with a little update on how he was doing and sent us several pictures throughout his stay. He looked so happy and will definitely book with them again!”

“Boning was great with Maple - gave great updates on what they were up to, how she walked and ate, etc. Maple was spoiled by cuddles and a great fenced in yard. We would be happy to book with her again!”

“Very nice hosts. They obviously love animals and made Josie apart of their family. Chris sent lots of videos and photos. My dog, Josie seemed to have a very enjoyable stay. Very convenient location off of I495 in Franklin when traveling to the Cape.”

“My dogs loved their time with Casey! She is so kind and took such wonderful care of our dogs. She has wonderful communication skills and sent us a bunch of adorable photos of our dogs when they were with her. Thank you again, Casey! We will definitely rebook in the future!”

“Jenn B and her family provided so much love and excellent care for our pup, Kiva on his first full day and overnight. We will definitely have Jenn B take Kiva in for future days and overnights!”

“Annmarie and Henry were absolutely wonderful with Gracie. Annmarie sent pics and texts daily about her days events. Gracie loved Henry and sitting in his lap! 💕 Would highly recommend and will definitely use them again. Thank you!! 🙏🏻”

“Kayla is the best, and Juno always has a blast with her and her crew! I appreciate all the photos Kayla shares, putting my mind at ease knowing Juno is being well loved and cared for.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Cheryl. I would trust her with any pet of mine. She is very communicative and was wonderful with Robi. I would definitely book her again and recommend her to others.”

“Dogs came home happy and well balanced! Clearly they had been well cared for and given the proper amount of exercise. Kexin and Carlos sent lots of pictures and videos giving me a lot of confidence and comfort in knowing that selecting them was the right choice! My dogs loved their large, fenced in backyard! My 2 dogs got along beautifully with their dog and cats. They even added some healthy supplements to my dogs’ food that they add to their dog’s food! Will be using them again soon!”

About: I recently said goodbye to my feisty Bichon after 18 wonderful years. I cared for her from the time she was a puppy through her senior years and loved every minute of it. My home is located in a peaceful neighborhood at the end of a cul-de-sac, which offers many excellent routes for daily walks. I work mostly from home as a real estate agent and have a very flexible schedule. I am home in the mornings to drop the kids at school & home early most afternoons to meet them from the bus. Dogs will be left alone for 4-5 hours maximum. My property is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, far from any busy roads. It borders conservation land, which offers a very private and peaceful setting. I have two children, ages 11 and 15, who both adore animals. There are several dog walking routes located conveniently close to our home, and I currently have no other pets in the house. My home is also a non-smoking residence.
“Julie was absolutely wonderful! Our dog can be quite anxious, but we could tell by his demeanor when he came home that Julie made him feel very comfortable and cared for! We'd love to have Dodge stay with Julie again, and we are very grateful for the updates and great care Dodge received!”

“Lilith and her family are so nice and sent so many great pics of Snooki. I could tell she was well cared for and loved while we were gone. The home is pristine and in a great neighborhood for pups. Will definitely leave Snooki with Liliya again!”

“Jing was highly responsive and took great care of Baks. Communication was thoughtful and prompt. She sent tons of pictures and updates which put my mind to ease. I was able to pick Baks up early with no issue and was very happy to see him early. Baks stayed with Jing for 4 nights while I was out of town.”

“Another great stay with Sarah! It’s comforting to know that my pup is in a cozy family home while I’m away. They take such good care of Minnie and I love the picture updates!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Norfolk
Lyndsey was so great with our puppy over the weekend! She took care of her like she was her own and sent a ton of pictures documenting Julep's adventures hiking, swimming, and playing with her new best friend, Rollie. Exactly the kind of sitter that you want for your beloved pet. Cannot recommend her enough!
Eric and Alison took great care of our dog Biscuit! They could handle her enthusiasm to play with children and their own dog, and treated her like their own. They gave constant updates, reached out with questions and we're easy to contact. Biscuit enjoyed her stay and we are so grateful for them!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
