Pet Boarding Plainville

About: My husband and I both grew up with dogs and had the privilege of fostering several dogs while living in Rwanda for 2 years. This past May, we unexpectedly lost our beloved 11-year-old dog. She was so much more than a pet—she was truly a member of our family and had grown up alongside our children, ages 9 and 6. We’re not quite ready to fill the space she left behind, so we thought Rover might be a wonderful way to spend time with dogs again while giving another family peace of mind knowing their dog is being cared for and loved. Your dog is allowed on our furniture and has access to a large fenced in yard! Our dog was fear aggressive and we were unable to utilize a boarding facility. We can sympathize that leaving your dog can be difficult. We’ll treat them like one of our own—with lots of affection, patience, attention, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. Having fostered dogs with very different personalities and backgrounds, we know that every dog has their own needs, quirks, and way of showing love. We’d love to welcome your dog into our home and give them the same love and care we’ve always given our own. Note: For the comfort and safety of your pup, we only care for dogs from one family at a time. We’re happy to accommodate two dogs from the same family, but we do not mix dogs from different households during the same stay. I work in healthcare on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 PM–11:00 PM, and Saturdays I work a 12 hour shift and am home all other days. On the days I work, my husband is home by 2:30 PM, and he is home with our children on Saturdays. Our family does have occasional evening or weekend commitments for our children’s sports, but these are typically short outings, and we are rarely away from home for more than about four hours at a time. We’re happy to work with you to make sure your dog’s routine and needs fit comfortably into our schedule. Because I have a flexible schedule the majority of the week, I’m able to provide plenty of attention, companionship, walks, playtime, and breaks throughout the day. I’m also happy to accommodate a dog who needs more frequent potty breaks or simply prefers not to be alone for long periods (we've been there). We have a large fenced in yard where your dog can run to their heart's content. We live in a quiet, safe neighborhood and have the perfect mile walking loop. Your dog is welcome to sleep in our bed, lounge on the couch and take a snooze on our deck.

I have used two other sitters(not from Rover but though recommendations) and neither even came close to the care and bond that my dog received with Tomoe. She played with him, took him for walks and to the dog park where my dog could meet and play with other dogs . In addition to her care, the rest of her family were also fantastic and played with my dog until he was played out! She is highly educated in the ways of dogdom, and truly has a passion for her work as a dog sitter. If I could give her 10 stars I would....I only hope she has availability the next time I need her services since once you have experienced the best there is no going anywhere else!”

Penny got to hang out with her lab Dakota and romp around everyday in their outdoor area which was great for Penny. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats since I was 9. I’ve owned aggressive / reactive dogs, dogs who need a lot of management, sport dogs, working dogs, and other animals with special needs. My personal dogs are elderly now and need more special care and I conduct all of it. I do drop ins, dog walking, and house sitting by myself but for boarding dogs me and my mom do that together (we are Angie’s pet care) that way our boarding dogs are with at least one person 24/7. I have a well fenced in yard and basement entirely dedicated to dogs! You can look us up at Angie’s pet care (Middleboro Mass). But our boarding dogs are allowed to be on the other floors with us (only when supervised) but someone is home majority of the day.
