DOGS LOVE ME !
I have owned dogs for 40 years. I just recently lost my little Maltese. He was 16 years old and my best friend. Your dog will be treated like a grandchild when they are with me. One of my friends said that when she dies she wants to come back as one of my pets! I have the time and the experience to take care of your dog. I will try to accommodate your scheduling needs. If your dog requires a special diet that is not a problem. Once a week I roasted a chicken for my little guy. I just love their company. I look forward to the opportunity of spending time with them, playing, going for walks, and always having cuddle time. The house is just not the same without a dog around. I am retired so I have the flexibility to accommodate your booking and scheduling needs. No need to panic if you are delayed picking up your best friend. I adjust the day according to your dog's schedule. Your pet takes top priority. Since I only board one dog at a time (or 2 within the same family) your dog has my undivided attention all day. If your dog likes to cuddle on the couch or sleeps in your bed that is what he/she can do at my house. Before I accept a booking I require a Meet and Greet to determine if we are a good fit. I prefer small hypoallergenic breeds that do not shed. Your dog must be house broken, bathed prior to boarding, current on all vaccines, and must have had a flea and tic treatment. I also request that anything you bring into my house is clean and laundered, like blankets and beds, etc. Your pet will never be outside unattended or off leash. Your dog becomes a member of my family during their stay and will be cared for like my own. That's a promise!

Shelley was wonderful in caring for our dog. We met with her on a "meet and greet" and then she cared for him for a day. She listened to and respected our issues, and he clearly really enjoyed his time with her. We will use her again.
I had to go abroad for 2 weeks and ask someone to watch my dog, Jesse. This was the first time he was going to stay at someone else’s home so I was nervous. He and I met a few people, but I knew that Jesse would be happy and well taken care of once we met Shelley. I was right! She was gentle, attentive, and took care of him very well. She gave me periodic photos and updates that showed how healthy and happy he was. It gave me peace of mind!!
Shelley was wonderful with our miniature daschund. We met her several weeks beforehand for a meet and greet. She kept us updated with pictures while we were away and took wonderful care of our sweet girl!
Shelly devoted her time and cared for our dog as if he was her own. She was very loving, followed his routine, and communicated with us. This was the first time we left our dog with her and we are very comfortable doing this again in the future. I highly recommend her! She is wonderful!

I am SO grateful to have found Shelley!! Her thorough questions regarding our dog at the meet-n-greet showed me how intentional she is to tailor her care to each individual dog's needs. Murphy was calm and happy when we picked him up and even left me at one point to go back to stand near Shelley. That said it all to me! Thank you so much, Shelley!

Home characteristics
A typical day
Your dog is going to have one continuous play date with me. I can adapt to their schedule so the transition to my home will be an easy one. Plan on walks several times a day and lots of play time. I spend a lot of time interacting with them during the day so they are very well engaged. If your dog is elderly and just likes to nap well we can do a lot of sofa cuddling.
