About: I am a full-time working mom with 2 kids, 3 cats and 1 dog. I have years of experience walking, dog/cat sitting for friends, neighbors, family. I couldn't have a dog as a kid b/c we lived in an apartment so the first chance I was able to get my own dog, my husband and I adopted Buttons in 2009 when she was 4 months old and then Marty in 2013 at 10 weeks old. We also have 3 cats, Buttercup, Sox and Murray. We lost our 2 senior cats, Bruschi in 2024 and Seymour in 2019 at 18 and 12 yrs old. My soul dog, Buttons just passed away in March at 15 yrs old and for the last 9 months I administered daily subcutaneous fluids as well as supplements, probiotics, antibiotics on a daily basis to help support her kidney disease. I built her a wheelchair because she had arthritis but loved to walk and turned my old stroller into a dog stroller for her during her last days. I have another senior dog, Marty who is 12 and although doesn't take daily medication is a very anxious guy so learning to adapt and make his life amazing has been a learning curve since Buttons was such a laid back girl. I feel that dogs and cats and animals in general are an important part of your life, they teach us things that humans cannot and I feel that in my soul. I would be humbled to take care of your pets so that you do not have to worry at all. I work from home and typically can get away during a lunch break. I have the summers off and am pretty available during the weekdays. I have a fenced yard, I have experience walking an aggressive, anxious dog as well as a senior dog who needs to go slow and at her own pace. I have cats and am very conscious, even a bit paranoid at times of doors being left open or the window screens not being secure so I am always double checking those things.
“As always, Jeff goes above and beyond to take care of Paul. Paul recently had a change in his health a couple weeks prior to our vacation, and Jeff was able to accommodate with medication and monitoring Paul for any changes. We felt calm knowing Paul was in good hands!”

“Hanna provided excellent care for our 2 cats while we went on vacation. Her updates and photos were so thorough, taking time to even track down our shy girl who hides from everyone. Wouldn’t hesitate from recommending Hanna if you need pet care!”
About: I have had pets my entire life. Dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits…I love animals of all kinds. My mom became paralyzed and I walked and took care of her 2 senior dogs for about 8 years until they passed. I gave them oral medication, cooked their food, walked and groomed them. Then she adopted a puppy and I took care of him as well as trained him. I currently have 2 french bulldogs of my own. One is a hyper little puppy and the other is a calmer 5 year old. I love caring for pets whether they are my own or someone else’s. I currently work part time in home care until 2pm 4 days a week. I am available most afternoons. My schedule changes if a client is in the hospital and does not need care those days which gives me the flexibility to pick up more last minute walks or check ins. I have children so I cannot work all weekend but i can be flexible and am open to them. I am open to walking your dogs in your neighborhood or wherever you prefer. I am also open to check ins and feeding dogs or cats. I will do my best to keep your routine with them if that is what you prefer. I would like to know a little bit about them beforehand and any preferences or habits they have.

“Sam is great! She watched our oldest kitten when he was just a few months old, and again now that we have two! Our oldest loves playing with her and hanging out, and though our second is a little shy, she did manage to come out at the end of the visit. Sam is reliable and has great communication. Looking forward to booking her again in the future!”

“Isabell went above and beyond with our two cats. She was always communicative about any scheduling changes and sent a bunch of photos and videos, outside of the ones included with the daily Rover Card. This was our first time using a pet sitter, outside of family, and she exceeded our expectations. She was patient with our cats and gained their trust and affection, which is hard as they are generally shy with strangers. I would highly recommend her and hope she is still around the next time we choose to travel as our cats grew fond of her.”

“Jenie was so wonderful to work with! She was attentive, very quick to respond, and clearly treated our anxious pup with gentleness and care. We will definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Layal is always incredibly patient and kind with out puppies. She sends some great photos and videos of their adventures together. She is also very kind to our cat that loves attention. 🐈⬛”

“Paige was great and the dogs seemed to really like their “play date” with her. Paige sent a detailed report that made us feel at ease. We definitely hope to have Oaige drop in for another visit soon.”

“Elizabeth took great care of our cat Bernie for 3 days. We always worry about leaving him with a pet sitter because he can be shy and skittish and doesn't always warm up to people he doesn't know. Elizabeth has the magic touch because Bernie was always (and immediately!) happy to see her and even came out to play. When we got back, Bernie was happy, well-adjusted and his usual goofy self. Definitely recommend Elizabeth to anyone seeking a reliable, friendly and professional pet sitter!”

About: Hi my name is Emily! I love all animals and have lived with dogs and cats for most of my life. I lived with two chocolate labs and have worked through their puppy stages as well as training. I have experience with dog walking and dog sitting, and have been doing that for over 4 years. I have a calming presence on animals and they seem to enjoy being around me! I am also patient with them whether they want to explore during walks, if they have an accident in the house, and anything in between. I can give your pet an engaging walk and playtime, and a peaceful stay at my house. I will give them all of my love and I hope they enjoy their time with me! I currently work part-time and I have a very flexible schedule. I can spend lots of time with pets wether it is house stays or checking in on them frequently. I have a fully fenced-in backyard with plenty of room for pets to roam. I always have an eye on the pets and my house is pet-proof, with chemicals kept in pet-free areas. I do not let dogs meet unknown dogs on walks unless given prior consent from the owners and am knowledgeable on dog and cat behaviors.
“Showed up on time, was kind to our property and our pup. Sent pictures of the pup playing and notified of arrival and completeness of the visit. Felt very comfortable that our pup had a great time and that he was cared for lovingly! Thank you.”

“USophia was absolutely wonderful! She took such great care of our dog while we were away for the weekend and truly went above and beyond. We had her scheduled for three drop-in visits each day, and she was always on time and often stayed even longer than expected to spend extra time with our dog, which meant so much to us. Her communication was excellent throughout the entire weekend. She sent us lots of photos and updates at every visit, so we were able to see how our dog was doing and felt completely at ease while we were away. Sophia was incredibly kind, attentive, reliable, and clearly genuinely cares about the animals she watches. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely trust Sophia with our dog again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable and caring. We will definitely be booking with her again! ❤️”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats since I was 10 years old. Family members, friends, neighbors, etc. have always had pets and have relied on me to take care of them for periods of time. I work on a hybrid schedule, so I am home most Mondays, Fridays - Sundays all day. When I am in the City working I have breaks where I can walk dogs that are close by as well. I don’t have any pets in my home, I live with my fiance who has grown up owning multiple dogs at a time. We have no children in the home either. We live in a townhouse with a front and back yard.
About: I have grown up with animals of all types. Dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, frogs, etc! I have a lot of love for all animals, of all ages, shapes and sizes! I currently have a 9 month old boxer and a 2 year old betta fish. I grew up with two chihuahuas as well. I previously fostered a 140 pound pitbull/american bulldog and had 4 cats! I will provide love and care to your sweet pets as if they were my own. I am currently working full time as a nurse and will only be available on weekends or Friday evenings. I will also be available on Thursday evening as well! I will be able to take care of your animal however you need. I can administer medications as needed and provide medical care as well. Whatever you need, I can do it for you!
About: I’ve spent my life surrounded by animals, from growing up training Golden Retrievers to the many years I spent with my Lhasa Apso, Cooper, and my two beloved cats. My home is a bit too quiet since they passed, and I’m eager to share that "family-first" devotion with your pets. I’m new to the app, but a veteran with animals! My Commitment to You: • Full-Time Attention: I work independently and am home the majority of the day. Your pet will be my primary focus and never left alone for more than an hour or two. • Versatile Experience: Whether it’s the high energy of a large breed or the specialized needs of a small senior, I’ve handled it all with patience and care. • The "Spoiled" Treatment: Since I’m just starting on Rover, I’m only taking limited guests. This means your pet gets 1-on-1 attention and a schedule tailored entirely to them. Services I Provide: • 🏡 Boarding: A cozy townhouse with carpeted stairs (great for traction!) in a very walkable community. Multiple daily strolls are a guarantee. • 🐾 Walks & Drop-ins: Punctual and reliable. I’m comfortable with all temperaments and am happy to follow your specific training or house rules. • 🐱 Cat Care: As a former cat mom, I specialize in visits that prioritize real companionship and play, not just a food-bowl refill. I can’t wait to meet your best friend and treat them like a member of my own family! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work independently and am home the majority of the day, stepping out for no more than an hour or two at a time. Your pet will never be left alone for long, and I treat every animal in my care as my own. My home is a townhouse with carpeted stairs and plenty of cozy space for pets to roam. Both cats and dogs are welcome throughout. I live in a very dog friendly community, so walks happen multiple times a day based on your pet’s needs and energy level. Your pet will be comfortable, well cared for, and never an afterthought.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
