“Debbie was a fantastic Rover sitter. Coordinating our dog’s stay was very easy. She was a great communicator with lots of sweet photo and video updates. Our dog came home happy, healthy and tired! I would recommend Debbie to anyone and our family will absolutely use her services in the future!”

“Leo L was a fantastic host! He sent us a lot of pictures of our dog having fun. And made sure she got the exercise that she needed. He was very open to her schedule and I felt like he really cared about her well-being.”

“What can I say? Nothing says more than watching my dogs’ reactions when they see Jess - pure excitement! They absolutely adore her and her family, and that tells me everything I need to know. Going away used to be so hard for me because I hated leaving my two BFFs behind. Now, as much as they are still my life, I can walk away feeling completely at ease knowing they’re happy, loved, and in the very best hands. There’s no worrying or feeling guilty - they’re too busy having their own little vacation with Jess and her family! Also, I can always tell when I pick them up that they’ve had a great time. They come home happy, relaxed, and completely themselves — which, to me, says it all! We feel incredibly lucky to have found Jess and her loving family to care for our fur babies. Nothing is better than going on vacation, guilt-free, knowing your little buddies are away having fun, too! While away, peace of mind means everything to me, which is one of the many reasons why I so highly recommend Jess.”

“Paula was amazing, we will definitely reach out again as needed for care for our dog. Paula was responsive, rates are reasonable, she sent pictures of our dog and our dog was clearly well cared for. She took our dog on daily hikes, after checking to ensure that would work for her, and she scheduled a meet-up prior to confirming the booking. Thank you, Paula, we were worried about being away from our girl until we met you. You made our vacation relaxing knowing our dog was in good hands.”

“Alex took amazing care of Gretta during her stay. He is incredibly kind, patient and thoughtful. He sent us amazing photos and videos. It's clear he truly loves dogs but also just an incredible human !!! I can't recommend him enough”

“Amazing! If I could give more then 5 stars I would :) Great family and Lucy had a blast. I felt so comfortable and Wendy made everything so easy. What a great family and Lucy enjoyed her time with the entire family. I hope to use Wendy and her family again, as Lucy had a blast. It was great to know Lucy was being so well taken care of while we were away.”

“Tianyue took great care of Elliot. She sent lots of photos and managed his medications and eye drops very well. I felt super comfortable leaving Elliot with her for nearly a week.”

About: I’m a proud dog parent to my 4-year-old dog, Simba, so I have firsthand experience with the daily care, attention, and love that dogs need. Caring for Simba has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, regular walks, playtime, feeding routines, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I’ll care for your pet with the same love, attention, and responsibility that I give Simba. 🐾❤️ I stay at home mom so I can give full attention, follow routines and take out for walks. we also have a yard where dogs can play I have a fenced yard, and a friendly goldendoodle who can give your dog company. My goal is to help every pet feel happy, relaxed, and cared for while their family is away.
“Eric was quick to respond and agreed to watch Wally at the last minute, which was super helpful. He was attentive to Wally's needs and sent photos throughout the day, keeping us updated on his stay. Eric has a super cute dog who seemed easygoing even when Wally got a bit exciteable at pick-up/drop-off. We would absolutely have Eric watch Wally again. Thank you!”

“Julie was the perfect sitter! Providing us with frequent updates of our sweet Okie, giving Okie all the love and attention she needed & being so accommodating to our drop off/pick up schedule. I could tell that Okie really enjoyed her time with Julie and is looking forward to her next stay!”

“Natalie was absolutely amazing with Leo and Nala! From the very beginning, she was so intentional during our meet and greet and took the time to really get to know both of them, their personalities, and what they needed before we even handed them over to her. That meant so much to us and made us feel completely comfortable leaving them in her care. Throughout their stay, Natalie sent plenty of updates and kept me in the loop, which gave us so much peace of mind. It’s very clear that she genuinely cares about the dogs she takes care of, and she is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. We truly have nothing but great things to say about Natalie. Leo and Nala were so well cared for, and we wouldn’t hesitate to have her watch them again. We will absolutely be rebooking with her!”

About: I love all pups and will treat your fur babies as my own 🐾 I have been caring for big dogs since I was a child and have always had a love for them. I also have previous experience working at a doggie daycare, with dogs all breeds, ages, and sizes. I have a somewhat flexible schedule and will be home with your pups to follow their bathroom and feeding schedule and get lots of play time and cuddles while they’re in my care! I wake up around 7 am, feeding and bathroom routine, play time and walks throughout the day. I can also stick to any routine needed. There is currently one dog in my home, so I will only be caring for one additional dog at a time. My apartment complex has grassy areas for bathroom time, and I have plenty of room for your dog to play and rest. Neighborhood walks are also available.

“Tina gets along very well with dogs. She constantly sends us pictures showing what Roxy is up to. Roxy seemed to like Tina and looked happy. Next time, I will leave Roxy with Tina again.”

“Jing is amazing. We had such a wonderful experience with her and her delightful family. I was comfortable from the minute we got there for drop off and never worried for a second the entire weekend. Jing sent a ton of really cute pictures throughout our stay with her and she was very communicative. I would use her again is a second!”

“Alec and Damien were great hosts! Tanuki seemed very comfortable and we received lots of updates. So glad to have been able to book with them ❤️”

About: I am a retired flight attendant who grew up with dogs and throughout the years I have had many pets ranging from bunnies to cats to dogs. I am home the majority of the time, so I will be able to provide your dog with all the love and attention (or space) they need. I live in a house with a fenced in yard and a doggie door, which makes for easy access for dogs to come and go as they please - and bask in the sun on my patio. My love for dogs is unconditional and I will care for yours as if they are my own. I am retired, so I am home majority of the days and evenings. My dog recently passed away, so I thought dog sitting would be a great way to fill the companionship void. I tailor each dog's care based on their individual needs. I will provide your dog with a clean, safe, calm, and loving environment. I have a fenced in yard with a doggie door. I also have baby gates up in the house to restrict pets from certian rooms.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - East Walpole
Rudy stayed with Minglu and Yulin for 7 days to board while we were on vacation. He was well loved and cared for. I got updates everyday, sometimes multiple times a day with pics of him having a ball with his friends. He also looked and smelled great when I picked him up!

Our dog just had a wonderful stay with Maria and John! They are very caring people who immediately welcomed Fenway into their home. I was most impressed with their communication while we were away, and with their focus on Fenway’s safety when he was being watched by them!

Debbie took great care of our dog, Sam recently. She has such a sweet and calm nature that put Sam at ease and she shared pics of Sam so we could see how he was doing. I was really impressed that she even played one of Sam’s favorite games with him, which I know made Sam happy as it did us as well.

Lauren was awesome! She made sure Archie felt comfortable the second he arrived and allowed him time to adjust to his new environment. Her and her family walked Archie, provided lots of attention to him, and he had the added bonus of playing with their dog Ollie. You can tell they really cared for him. Highly recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
