“As always, Courtney was amazing! She boarded our dog Otis for a week while we were out of the country, and we felt fully confident and at ease knowing that he was in great hands. She sent pictures and updates daily, and Otis was happy and content when we returned home. Courtney is the first person we will call for future pet sitting! I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Cheryl. I would trust her with any pet of mine. She is very communicative and was wonderful with Robi. I would definitely book her again and recommend her to others.”

“Dana and Nia were very warm and welcoming upon meeting during drop-off. They provided daily updates, including Layla's well-being, how she settled right in and warmed up to them. When I picked Layla up from their house, it was abundantly clear how well cared for and happy she was. I would absolutely reccomend them for your dogsitting needs in the future.”

“Emily was great with our dog shichon Gizmo. We usually leave him with family but since that wasn’t possible this time we searched out a sitter. It can be hard when you have a small dog to find a good fit and someone you trust to take care of him. We met up prior to our trip and she seemed really knowledgeable and genuinely interested in our dog and his needs. He seemed to get along well with her adorable dog as well so was a good match. He tends to like a home with only one or two other dogs or he gets overwhelmed. She sent us pics of him on a walk and playing and be looked happy and to be having fun! I felt so relieved! I will definitely be using Emily again in the future and highly recommend!”

“Stephen and Cecilia were wonderful with our somewhat rowdy pup! They send pictures, keep us updated, and she comes back happy which is everything we could want.”

“Grigorri showed that he was passionate about animals from the very beginning. He is hospitable and recognizes the needs of a pet parent because he is a good one himself.”

“Casey was wonderful with Maddie. She sent us daily updates and pictures and Maddie always looked SO happy. Our minds were at ease with Casey. Drop off and pick up was easy and flexible and communication was quick. I would trust our girl with Casey again for our next trip!”

“Tina was wonderful with my dog. She was very attentive, sending lots of updates. She was very flexible when I had to change my pick up time. My dog had lots of friends to play with in the fenced yard. I will not hesitate to book with her again!”

“Jhonnari and Mike were absolutely wonderful! They took care of my dog as if he was their own. I received daily updates and photos of Yoda playing with their adorable pups. Cannot recommend them enough!”
“Lyndsey took incredible care of my golden. She truly loves dogs and has the best in mind for them. She introduced our dog to hers, took them for a hike, let the dogs have the whole home to play for the day. Highly recommended, we planning another visit soon!”

“Alex provided a great place for my dogs to stay while my husband and I went on a trip. I knew our pups were in good hands with Alex looking after them. We were able to relax and enjoy our time away knowing our pups had attentive supervision, as well as a home and a yard to hang out in wbile we were gone. Alex sent photo and video updates, and he took care when introducing my dogs to the other dogs under his care. Thank you Alex!”

“Jenna and Micheal took great care of Shep! We loved all the videos and photos they sent over the long weekend - it was so great that Shep had a friend to play with all weekend, he was super tired when we picked him up”

“Geoff had an amazing stay with Paula! She sent photos almost every day of him playing at the dog park, hanging out on the couch, and it was really great to see how he was doing. He came back a happy pup!”

“Pamela was a fantastic caregiver for our dog, Elke. I got regular updates and photos while we were away. She even went the extra mile and replaced a harness that Elke chewed when there was a severe thunder storm! I would highly recommend her!”
“I had such a wonderful experience with Sarah and her family watching my dog while I was traveling out of the country. They were caring, communicative, and made me feel completely at ease knowing my dog was in good hands. I appreciated the updates and could tell she was well loved and cared for. Would absolutely book with them again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - East Walpole
Minglu and Yulin were so great with my poodle while we were away for ten days. Bear took to them immediately and I just could tell from the start he was going to adapt quickly thanks to their friendly and welcoming dispositions. I got daily updates with pictures to ease my mind about how he was doing. They communicated promptly and were very flexible with my drop off and pickup needs. I would happily recommend them to anyone and would easily book with them again!

Wendy and her family took great care of my young dog, Dorothy. This was the first time I used Rover and was so relieved to find Wendy. I usually leave my dog with a family member, but this was a family vacation and no pets allowed. Wendy sent photos and updates which helped ease any worries. I highly recommend Wendy for great pet sitter!!!!

Debbie took great care of our dog, Sam recently. She has such a sweet and calm nature that put Sam at ease and she shared pics of Sam so we could see how he was doing. I was really impressed that she even played one of Sam’s favorite games with him, which I know made Sam happy as it did us as well.

Lauren was awesome! She made sure Archie felt comfortable the second he arrived and allowed him time to adjust to his new environment. Her and her family walked Archie, provided lots of attention to him, and he had the added bonus of playing with their dog Ollie. You can tell they really cared for him. Highly recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
