“I couldn’t have asked for a better place for Frankie to be while we were away.A fenced in back yard where she could run and play with other dogs. The pictures they sent gave us a great feeling while we away and missing her.Our nephew just got a puppy and we told him we would highly recommend Ben and Sarah.”

“Yasmine took care of my dog according to my request. She sent me pictures and a see-promoter for any of my communications. I would definitely use her services again.”

“I used Rover for the first time time with Emily and she kept me updated with pictures of my Lyla multiple times a day. She made me feel so reinsured and had a great fenced in yard for the dogs to roam. She even let my Lyla sleep with her which was so sweet! Thank you so much Emily!”

“Sarah was great with Baci! Very attentive to details and my care instructions, checked in with photos, and communicated well. She’s a nice person and so are her kids, and I will definitely have her sit for Baci again. Thank you Sarah!”

“Our little senior fellow had a great stay with Julie this past weekend. She sent photos that helped us feel secure, and he was a happy camper when we picked him up. We hope she’s available the next time we need her!”

“Paula was amazing. She was so warm and welcoming to us and to Blondie. She planned activities for each day she had Blondie and kept her active. Her home was welcoming and Blondie really seemed to enjoy herself. She sent updates regularly and pictures which were wonderful to receive. We will use her services again, for sure.”

“Kim was so wonderful and helped us out in a pinch with very little notice. Bos was so well cared for and content with her and we really appreciated her frequent updates with pictures. We’ll definitely work with Kim again.”

“We feel so much at ease when we leave our dog with Oscar and Gaelle. They always send us cutest video updates. We tried 3 other sitters on Rover when Oscar was not available , each time our dog had diarrhea after we picked her up (either stress related or elsa ate something she shouldn’t eat) . Never had a problem when Elsa stayed with Oscar. Looked always happy and healthy.”

“Alexandra and Joseph have taken great care of our dog a few times now and he always comes back happy and communication with them has been great. We enjoy the picture updates and he loves playing with all the dogs. Would recommend them highly.”

“Jing was a terrific host! Our 1.5 year old mini bernadoodle was in great hands with Jing, Jeremy and their dog Jojo. We were so grateful for making our first Rover experience a positive one.”

“I felt that Stephen and Ceicilia took great care of Oliver. He was nice and fit, they took him for walks and were with him all the time. He seemed really happy and well taken care of .”

“Alec and Damien were so kind! My cat loved being at their place. There was plenty of room and things to explore and he was very much well taken care of. 100% would recommend them!”

“Kaelyn was able to book my dog stella for boarding on short notice. I also mistakenly entered the wrong start date but she was able to accommodate me a day earlier, which I very much appreciated. My dog seemed to get along well with her adorable little pup. Thank you, Kaelyn”

“We left our dog with Lyndsey and Evan while we were on vacation, and he had a vacation of his own! He had long walks every day and lots of playtime with their dog. We got photo updates every day. We don't feel guilty leaving him because we know he is well taken care of.”

About: I have always loved dogs and even have a dog of my own. I am extremely patient and consider myself to be kind. I work as a kindergarten teacher so I am used to taking care of things and tending to their needs. As a kindergarten teacher, I have lots of free time on weekends and school breaks, and I figured the best use of my time would be to do something I already enjoy doing and also help other people out as well. Since I already own a dog of my own I am very conscientious of what dogs can or cannot do, eat, or be near. I try to play with them as much as possible and be friendly with them so they feel comfortable around new people.
“They were so kind and kept me updated every day during my trip. My dog came back happy and upbeat, if a little tired from all the fun he had with their dogs Waffles and Wiggles!”

“Natacha is a great caregiver! She took great care of my dog Mollie, and was quick to respond to questions. I will certainly ask her to watch my Mollie again. Thanks!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Westwood
Thank you Wendy for giving Koda care, affection, and lots of interactive adventures with your family. Our pup has only been cared for by family and friends so leaving him with someone we barely knew for 2 weeks was difficult, Wendy was so accommodating. We did trials leading up to get our pup adjusted and knew we found someone who really cared. The daily updates and specific detail of his day, her observations of his feelings and routine helped us ease into our vacation knowing he was in good hands with Wendy. Thank you so much!!

We recently started using Julie as a sitter for our rescue dog (Remy) who has significant separation anxiety. He is always SO excited to spend time with Julie (he starts his happy barking and bolts out of the car to greet her as soon as we arrive at her house). Julie truly loves caring for animals - she makes sure Remy gets plenty of play time, she snuggles with him, and she gives him so much love and attention. Julie also sends us pictures and videos throughout the day to keep us updated with how he is doing. We are so lucky to have found Julie and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!

Debbie took great care of our dog, Sam recently. She has such a sweet and calm nature that put Sam at ease and she shared pics of Sam so we could see how he was doing. I was really impressed that she even played one of Sam’s favorite games with him, which I know made Sam happy as it did us as well.

Lauren was awesome! She made sure Archie felt comfortable the second he arrived and allowed him time to adjust to his new environment. Her and her family walked Archie, provided lots of attention to him, and he had the added bonus of playing with their dog Ollie. You can tell they really cared for him. Highly recommend.

My dog Bhalu was very happy living with Giovanni his dog -Neron as well his family. In fact he learned a lot from Neron. They played at their backyard and became friends. Giovanni poured out tremendous love on Bhalu. I would recommend anyone who wants boarding for their dog to go to Giovanni.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
