“Debbie went above and beyond for us. She spent plenty of time acclimating our 4 mo puppy to her home and dogs for his first daycare session. We received pics and updates during his stay. Our dog had a great supervised socialization session with Debbie and other dogs, and had a chance to gain confidence in staying with others. Will definitely use her as a sitter again!”

“Sean took care of our 2 year Yorkie, Luca, for the day We wanted to get them acquainted before an upcoming weekend stay. Luca settled right in with Sean. He provided Luca good care, is responsible and accommodated our requests. Overall very satisfied and feel much better about Luca’s upcoming weekend/overnight stay.”

“Brian took great care of Charlie today. He responded quickly to messages and shared lots of pictures and information during the day. We would definitely work with Brian again and recommend him to all!”

“Jing was great with my 11 month old Bernese Leo! She was very responsive and sent great photos all day. She was also flexible and understanding when I was running late for pick up which I really appreciated!”

“Thank you so much, Easton had a great day and was well taken care of and had fun. Alex was flexible and helpful when we needed a bit more time, and kept our pup for longer than initially planned. A great setup and great with Eaton. Thank you! We will see you again soon”

About: I've had dogs all my life, various breeds. Learned alot about them over the years. Have 3 dogs currently. I have given dogs medication before I look after dogs every single day all the time. I take care of my dogs needs first before my own so I know that they have everything they need on time and are happy and content. I care and treat other people's dogs as if they were my own and I treat mine as if they are family because they are. I would bring a leash to walk the dog if the owner doesn't have one, have doggie bags, safe dog treats, and during the hot months a little water dish and water in case the dog is thirsty. It's important to always be prepared.
“Ling and Ye were great with my puppy! I had to work a very, very long day and they were very accommodating with an early drop off and late pick up. They also made me feel comfortable by sending pictures throughout the day to reassure me that she was having a great day. I will definitely hire them again!”

“Kayla took great care of Ruby while dog sitting. She provided plenty of updates and my pup had fun day with Kayla and her family. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Kayla again for sitting!”

About: I have a 9 year old Shih Tzu, her name is Zola. She loves people and other animals. I am currently home more then expected and would love to help other working people with their pets. If your pet needs a certain food or specific routine, let me know and I am happy to help maintain the normal. When I first got my dog, it was so hard to leave her during the day when I went to work. She was so small, and I didn't want her to be lonely. I understand how hard it is to leave a fur child and want to help others be comfortable knowing they are being looked after during the day or overnight. I will love them like my own. I am currently working from home and have ability to 'schedule' accordingly to cover dog needs - walking or playing and to schedule time as needed to walk near by dogs as well. I do not have a fenced yard. I walk with a leash. I can 'fence' in a small area for free time in the yard. I also can let dogs out on the deck and use 'gates' to block stairs. I care for all pets the same as I do my own. I work remote and have a flexible schedule allowing me to play with and walk your pups at various times. And a lot of time for snuggles and petting I have a good size deck with fenced entrances for general relaxation outside. My yard is not fully fenced but a good size for small dog play
“Jamie was wonderful! Kind, considerate, great communicator. My dog Eddie had such a happy day in her and her family’s care. We definitely look forward to next time!!”

About: Since I was 10 years old, neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and care for their dog(s). I've stayed overnight at their houses to provide the requested care as well as visits during the day. Additionally I’ve hosted pet(s) overnight. Currently I am working part-time and step out for about 4 hours for my shift then return home to study. My fiancé and I live together in our apartment and he helps provide pet care. Our weekends are typically open with an occasional event. I am an active person. I enjoy running, hiking, and long walks to release energy, especially with a canine campion. I've also brought dogs to local dog parks. I enjoy playing with dogs and even lounging at the house with them. At my apartment, the shared backyard has a fence and an outdoor lead as well.
“Natalie was very communicate and caring with my little dog. Everytime we reached out to her, she always responded on time. I would definitely recommend her to anyone and will rebook with her in the future.”

“Wanda was very responsive and able to accomidate my dog at the last minute. She did a great job taking care of my pup for the day and I'd definitely recommend her for anyone looking for a good sitter.”

About: I may be new to Rover but I’m not new to caring for your dog. As a lifelong pet owner, animal lover and proud rescue dog mom, I know that every dog has their own unique personality, routine, and needs. I raised my two rescue Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull mixes from the shelter, giving me hands-on experience with training, structure, and positive reinforcement. Whether your pup is energetic and playful or prefers a slower pace, I adapt my care to match both their personality and the routine you’ve established, helping them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Your dog’s stay will include plenty of one-on-one attention, walks to the nearby park, playtime in my fully fenced backyard, and lots of affection (including couch cuddles if they’re allowed!). I also believe communication is key, so you can expect regular photo and video updates throughout the day for complete peace of mind. My goal is simple: to become someone you can trust wholeheartedly with your best friend. I want you to leave knowing your dog is being cared for with the same love, patience, and attention that you would give them yourself. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. My flexible schedule allows me to provide consistent attention throughout the day, whether that’s morning walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, or simply keeping your dog company. I enjoy being active, so regular walks and outdoor time are already part of my day. Whether your pet needs a quick walk, overnight care, or an extended stay, I’ll make sure they receive the time, attention, and care they deserve—not just the basics, but plenty of love and companionship too. Every pet is unique, so I tailor my care to match their personality, energy level, and the routine you’ve already established. Whether I’m caring for your dog in my home or yours, I prioritize safety, consistency, and lots of love and attention. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions (if needed), and any training cues you use so your dog experiences as little disruption as possible. In my home, dogs enjoy a calm, pet-free environment with plenty of one-on-one attention, a fully fenced backyard for supervised play, walks to the nearby park, and cozy places to relax. If your dog is allowed on furniture, they’re welcome to cuddle up on the couch with me. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat your space with the same respect I would my own. I’ll keep your home tidy, can provide regular updates with photos and videos, and make sure your dog feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. My goal is for you to return home to a happy dog and complete peace of mind
“Allie was very quick to respond to a last minute Fourth of July Day boarding. She was very easy to communicate with and very friendly. This is my first time leaving my dog with someone. I was happy to get updates on her walk. She was great and would definitely book again!”

Minglu and Yilan were great with Atlas. He is a dog that loves people and getting attention while also being able to hang with the other dogs. It looked like he had an awesome time and was definitely tired, hard to do for a bernedoodle, when he got home. I would definitely recommend.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
