“Ling and Ye were great with my puppy! I had to work a very, very long day and they were very accommodating with an early drop off and late pick up. They also made me feel comfortable by sending pictures throughout the day to reassure me that she was having a great day. I will definitely hire them again!”

About: Hi! I've been around animals my whole life, and caring for pets is truly second nature to me. I've owned and loved both dogs and cats since I was a kid, and that lifelong experience shows in how I care for every animal I meet. What really sets me apart is my background in pet care and dog training. I graduated from Norfolk County Agricultural High School, where I took many animal science courses. I took classes in canine behavior, pet shop management, and animal science. I learned how to handle, groom, and care for dogs of all breeds, through hands-on experiences. I bring patience, knowledge, and lots of love to every pet I care for. I am college student spending the rest of my summer from July 8 until August 22 at home. This means I have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I’m already helping my family take care of our own dog, so adding more pets to my routine fits in perfectly! I am available Monday through Friday and am very flexible throughout the day, so I can easily accommodate different schedules and needs. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client’s, their safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I stay in tune with how they are feeling, making sure they’re well-fed, clean, healthy, and getting plenty of rest and outdoor time. At home, I provide a pet-friendly environment. I’m also lucky to live next to a reservation with trails, open fields, and ponds and streams perfect for dogs who love to explore nature. I enjoy taking pets on these little adventures to keep them active and mentally stimulated. When it comes to pet care, I always treat each animal as if they were my own.
“Wanda was a terrific dog sitter. This was our puppy Sheva's first overnight away from home, and Wanda (and her own dog Milo) settled her down very quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to call on Wanda again the next time we need someone to watch over Sheva.”

“Thank you so much, Easton had a great day and was well taken care of and had fun. Alex was flexible and helpful when we needed a bit more time, and kept our pup for longer than initially planned. A great setup and great with Eaton. Thank you! We will see you again soon”

“Rachel was wonderful with Paisley! Rachel sent frequent updates and pictures throughout the day to keep us updated on all the fun they were having! Would definitely recommend Rachel in the future!”

“I just moved back to the area and I've taken my very active 1-yo dog to Ismael's house for the last several days and it's been great! Ismael and his wife are friendly, respond very quickly to texts, send photos, and in general have made life so much easier for me. My puppy and I are thankful we found them!”

About: I’ve had the joy of caring for a wide variety of animals—from turtles and birds to fish and beyond! Whether it’s feeding, cleaning, or just spending quality time with them, I genuinely love every moment. It’s not just a responsibility for me—it’s pure enjoyment and something I’m truly passionate about. I’m heading off to college soon, which means I currently have lots of free time and no major obligations. That gives me the perfect opportunity to focus on providing your pets with all the attention and care they need. Whether it’s going for walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’m here and happy to help! When caring for pets—whether in my home or a client’s—I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. I make sure the environment is clean, pet-proofed, and calm. I follow any instructions carefully, whether it’s feeding schedules, medication, or specific behavior needs. I also take time to build trust with each pet so they feel secure and cared for, not just watched. My goal is to make the experience stress-free for both pets and their owners, with plenty of love and attention every step of the way!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Needham
Su L is a great caregiver. From the start he was very communicative. His home is very comfortable and he even has supplies such as water bowl and dog bed. He has a calm demeanor and our girl Mila immediately felt very comfortable. He sent loads of updates showing her on a walk and in his yard and lounging in the home. I highly recommend him! Thanks Su we appreciate the great care you providing for Mila.

Jie and her son Ethan were amazing! Snoopy loved both of them and enjoyed going there. He met them once for the meet and greet, and when we went back to leave him there, he ran to the house and ran right in. He made himself at home. When we came to pick him up, he was very happy and well taken care of!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Needham commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
