“I highly recommend Ling & Ye...they were fantastic! Our schedule was more dynamic than we had intended and they were very flexible. Our boy Riley, 1-year old Golden, had great time and can't wait to get back to see his new friends!”

“Vista had so much fun during daycare with Junho and Boki! Junho was very communicative of how Vista was doing, making sure she had everything she needed to enjoy her days, from her food, to play and outside time. It is clear that he truly loves dogs and I would recommend him to anyone looking for someone with a kind heart to care for their pet.”

“It was a simple partial-day visit but our dogs seemed happy and relaxed when we picked them up. It was our first time using a dog sitter and we appreciated that Ismael sent great pictures of them interacting with the other dogs so that we wouldn't worry. We now feel comfortable with the 4-day stay we've arranged for next weekend, which will be our first overnight stay.”

“Daisy had a great day with Stef! Stef met with us in advance to meet Daisy and learn about her daily routine and requirements. She made it very easy to drop Daisy off and pick her up and also sent a few pictures during the day. Stef took her out for three walks, one of them was a car ride away from Stef's home which was an adventure for Daisy. It was almost hard to get Daisy into the car as she didn't want to leave. Daisy was so tired that night and into the next day, but was very happy. We are looking forward to having Stef take care of her again!”

“My dog, Bea had an amazing time with Sean and his dog, Remy. It’s not easy to leave your puppy in someone else’s hands but I could tell Bea had a blast from the photo and video updates and by dragging me towards his house on her 2nd time over. Look forward to more visits!”

“Frankie had a blast with David, Betsy and the dogs. When we got home that evening she went straight to her bed, worn out from a full day of playing. They have a great setup in their backyard with plenty of space, obstacles, and toys to keep the dogs happy. David and Betsy look after dogs as if they were their own and take care of individual needs of each dog.”

“Juyeon was absolutely amazing! I could tell Goose was comfortable with her and very well taken care of. He always slept like a rock after coming home. We cannot wait to use her services again. Would highly recommend!”

“We were delighted with the care for Hugo. We were nervous about leaving him with a new family in unaccustomed surroundings but he clearly had a nice time and was very relaxed when he came home.”

“Jamie was great! Was flexible with an early pickup, communicated quickly, and took good care of our pup. Benji immediately made himself at home and seemed sad to go, he enjoyed his time with Jamie and Sammie.”

About: I have had dogs almost my entire life. I have been pet sitting on dog vacay and rover for the last several years , before my dog Dora passed away two years when she was 14 years of age. I stopped pet sitting , and was grieving for a while. I am now ready to get back to dog sitting , and want to experience joy of pets again, even if on a temporary basis. I have two children , 8 and 4, and they have been exposed to dogs and cats until recently . We want to have a chance to play with doggies again, and love them! At the moment I am unemployed, and home with my 4 year old. A dog would easily fit in our daily routine, as the dog parents require. I live in a condo association, on the third floor. I do not have a yard, but I will be able to walk your doggie.
“Yi W. Was very responsive and took great care of Duke. She was also very open to my guidance about Duke’s needs and routine. She sent regular updates and photos. I recommend her and will take Duke back to her.”

“Adrienne provided greay doggy daycare for my two pomeranians while I had a business trip in the area. My little dogs were happy and tired upon pickup. They had fun in her yard and on their walk. Adrienne took great care of them. She obviously loves dogs.”

“Shuhua took very good care of my dog pepper while I was moving apartments. My chi was instantly in love with Shuhua and you can tell that she cares about your pets too. Will definitely be rebooking in the future!”

“I could not be happier with Maria and Caesar. My dog, Gary, can be a nervous little guy but by day 2, he was already happy to see Caesar at drop off and Caesar was excited to see him too! Maria sends me pictures and updates every day Gary is with them which gives me peace of mind while I’m at work. They’ve been really flexible with drop off and pick up times and have even accepted last minute bookings. I can’t say enough good things about Maria and Caesar and if Gary could talk, I’m sure he would say the same.”

“Rachel was wonderful with Paisley! Rachel sent frequent updates and pictures throughout the day to keep us updated on all the fun they were having! Would definitely recommend Rachel in the future!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Newton Lower Falls
We had to book someone to watch our dog last minute while we had an appointment nearby and Eri was available. Our dog seemed to enjoy his time with her and she sent photos and updates that reassured us that our dog was in good hands. If we’re in the area again and in need of a sitter, we’d definitely reach out to Eri again. Thank you for watching Koda last minute and I’m glad he had a good time! 😊

Tomoe was a wonderful daysitter for our dog, and clearly cares anout the individual needs of each pet. She was very communicative and gave Cedar everything he needed. We will be leaving him for an extended trip soon, and his day with Tomoe and her family was the perfect introduction to his upcoming adventures with them.

Charlie has been an exceptional dog sitter. He is reliable and genuinely cares for my dog, who is always happy and relaxed after spending time with him. Charlie follows instructions carefully, communicates clearly, and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure my dog is well cared for! I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a trustworthy and caring dog sitter.

Hannah is truly amazing! She cared for Bo as if he were her own and went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and comfortable. She was super responsive and kept me updated with lots of great photos of the pups having a blast together. I had total peace of mind knowing Bo was in her hands. I’ll definitely be booking with Hannah again!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
