Information Alex C. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet, I need to know key details to provide the best experience possible. I always ask about: - Temperament and Behavior – Are they shy, playful, or anxious? Do they get along with other dogs? - Exercise Needs – Do they have a lot of energy or prefer short walks and relaxed play? - Favorite Activities and Toys – Do they love fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle games, or snuggling? - Feeding and Treats – Meal schedules, dietary restrictions, and favorite snacks. - Medical Needs – Any medications, allergies, or health concerns I should be aware of. - Commands and Training – What commands they know and any specific training I should reinforce. - Socialization Preferences – Are they comfortable at dog parks, or do they prefer solo adventures? - House Rules and Routine – Any habits or rules they follow at home (e.g., furniture restrictions, crate training). By knowing these details, I can tailor each visit to ensure their safety, comfort, and happiness while you're away!
A typical day
I make sure to stimulate the dogs both physically and mentally with a variety of activities. I start the day with a refreshing walk around the huge green areas in our village, allowing the dogs to explore new scents and enjoy the outdoors. For mental enrichment, I use puzzle toys, licking pads, and Kongs filled with tasty treats to keep them entertained and engaged. Socialization is also a key part of the experience! I take them to the dog park where they can safely interact and play with other dogs. If they prefer one-on-one playtime, I engage them with fun games like fetch, tug-of-war, or obedience challenges. Throughout the day, I ensure they get plenty of attention, belly rubs, and companionship, making their time with me a positive and enriching experience!

Pet care experience
I have been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old and have always been surrounded by them. Growing up with dogs, I understand their needs, behaviors, and how to make them feel comfortable and loved. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs needing extra care.
Reviews

Thank you Alex so much for taking care of Moab during July 4th weekend. Alex accommodated short notice boarding and very flexible with pickup/drop off time. Tons of update pictures he sent throughout the days. No issues with the stay whatsoever. I trust Alex caring for my senior dog. I will definitely use Alex next time when I’m out of town. No doubt!

Alex was amazing with our Zoey! He was extremely attentive and ensured she was exceptionally well cared for. He made sure to send lots of photos and it was clear our dog had a wonderful time!

Alex is fantastic with our dogs and he is so patient with our senior dog. He treats our dogs as if they are his own dogs! Very happy to have Alex care for our dogs!

Alex is great with our dogs. You can tell he understands dog behavior and wants the dogs to feel comfortable and be happy!
