“Tara is amazing. She’s dropped in twice now with my dog. We had all sorts of issues with the garage door opener and she figured it out so that I didn’t have to rush home to let her in. (Totally my issue). She is also great with the dog. Nice long walks and lots of pictures”

“Tessa is fantastic. She stepped in on very short notice and took such great care of Lexi. Lexi can be a bit dramatic 😼 but Tessa handled her with so much patience and kindness. Her communication was excellent, and we felt totally at ease while we were away. We’ve already booked her again and feel so lucky to have found her.”

“Anna is such a wonderful, reliable sitter! Our dogs love her so much they whine when she leaves, and she is often available at difficult times to save us in a pinch! We can't wait to have her over again.”

“We’re now repeat customers! Liz is so great with Rocky and we appreciate knowing Rocky is in good hands while we’re away. She knows her stuff and follows his care plan excellently.”

About: I’ve walked/sat for dogs since I was a kid. I’ve grown up with a dog and now have my own at the age of 25 I am in Norwood living with my partner and looking for work, I decided to put a profile together and take care of pets to earn some money in the mean time. They’re allowed all the free play space in the open living area. Lots of space to run around. We’re close to a field for fetch and walks and I am more than happy to drive to a fenced in dog park. I have a vehicle and can drive to your home as well to hang out in the pets home if need be. I trained my dog by myself she is very responsible. She is energetic but kind and cuddly. She knows how to sit, come, stay, play dead, sit pretty, give paw, and loves fetch
“Sarah was attentive to my cats needs and sent me photos everyday. I really appreciated the piece of mind she gave me knowing that my cat was well taken care of during my trip.”
“Margaret is amazing! She was punctual, personable, had great communication and treated our dog like her own. She gave thorough updates and great photos! We trust her with our dog and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to come take your dog out. We will absolutely be using her in the future 😊”

“We have loved having Gail care for our pups and kitty! She has been so good with walking the active ones and snuggling the less active. They all love her! Will definitely use again in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Cynthia is absolutely amazing with our two cats! She’s so caring & great with communication. This is the second time she’s watched our cats & we will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future! We love all the pictures & videos she sends us when she’s checking in. We definitely recommend her!”

“Boning did a great job with my cat Romeo, provided additional details about his health and living area as things arose, and was very quick and attentive to my questions/concerns. I would book her again!”

“Ani was fantastic! She took great care of my two cats, and was communicative, sending me great pictures and videos of them every day, so I wouldn’t worry. Very friendly and caring.”

About: When I was 13, my family and I adopted our first dog who came with a rife set of challenges from biting to aggression to anti-social behavior. Over 10 years later, our problematic puppy has become the grumpy yet lovable old dog that he is through intensive training, love, and (lots of) patience. Having taken care of such a pet, I can handle anything. Since then, I have dog-sat and puppy-sat for family members and friends and have loved it! I love dogs, whether they are bouncing puppies or low-key seniors, I love them all. I work from home as tutor, editor, and personal assistant. Additionally, I am pursuing a Master's degree in English and am always looking for a good excuse to get outside! I have a flexible schedule which can vary slightly week-to-week. I live with two other adults, my boyfriend and roommate. We have a two-story house with a basement. All three of us our dog lovers, with my roommate and I having owned and cared for dogs for over 10 years. We don't have a fenced yard, but we do have a lead that we can hook up a dog too. The lead is suited for dogs over 100 pounds, and pups can explore the backyard while being safe. As for care, we follow the owners' instructions in terms of walks, potty breaks, food, and sleep schedules. All three of us having varying work schedules, making it easy to accommodate early risers and night owls.

“Jing is awesome with our three dogs! I was really reluctant to let a stranger come into our house but she is always so respectful and trustworthy with our four legged friends! They get excited when she comes through the door 😂 definitely hire her!”

About: Hi! I've been around animals my whole life, and caring for pets is truly second nature to me. I've owned and loved both dogs and cats since I was a kid, and that lifelong experience shows in how I care for every animal I meet. What really sets me apart is my background in pet care and dog training. I graduated from Norfolk County Agricultural High School, where I took many animal science courses. I took classes in canine behavior, pet shop management, and animal science. I learned how to handle, groom, and care for dogs of all breeds, through hands-on experiences. I bring patience, knowledge, and lots of love to every pet I care for. I am college student spending the rest of my summer from July 8 until August 22 at home. This means I have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I’m already helping my family take care of our own dog, so adding more pets to my routine fits in perfectly! I am available Monday through Friday and am very flexible throughout the day, so I can easily accommodate different schedules and needs. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client’s, their safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I stay in tune with how they are feeling, making sure they’re well-fed, clean, healthy, and getting plenty of rest and outdoor time. At home, I provide a pet-friendly environment. I’m also lucky to live next to a reservation with trails, open fields, and ponds and streams perfect for dogs who love to explore nature. I enjoy taking pets on these little adventures to keep them active and mentally stimulated. When it comes to pet care, I always treat each animal as if they were my own.

Michaela was AMAZING over the 4th of July weekend. She provided great updates and took such care and time with Coco, especially on the 4th when she was clearly afraid of the fireworks going off around our house. I’m so happy I found her and cannot wait to have her back!!
Nicole did a great job taking care of my cats over the holidays! She fed them, gave Bindi a pill twice a day, and spent time hanging out/playing with them during each visit. She also sent updates and a ton of pictures every time she stopped by. I appreciate that Nicole was super responsive and asked questions whenever things were unclear. Thank you Nicole ☺️

Ani was amazing with our elderly cat Karina. I didn't need to worry at all during our trip because Karina warmed up to her immediately which she rarely does with unfamiliar people. Ani was extremely conscientious and thorough in her care and made sure that our elderly girl was relaxed and content with massages and plenty of love and attention. Thank you so much, Ani.

Lauren did an absolutely fantastic job taking care of my dog! From the start, she was incredibly responsible, responsive, and easy to communicate with. She kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. My dog clearly felt comfortable and happy in her care, and it was obvious that Lauren treated her like one of her own. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience — I’ll definitely be booking with her again in the future. Highly recommend Lauren to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
