“As always, Jeff goes above and beyond to take care of Paul. Paul recently had a change in his health a couple weeks prior to our vacation, and Jeff was able to accommodate with medication and monitoring Paul for any changes. We felt calm knowing Paul was in good hands!”

“Jenie was so wonderful to work with! She was attentive, very quick to respond, and clearly treated our anxious pup with gentleness and care. We will definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Michaela was fantastic with her drop in visits! She took such great care of our dog and sent very detailed updates! She followed all instructions and really had us feeling comfortable knowing he was in great hands! We are so happy and appreciative! :)”

About: I’ve walked/sat for dogs since I was a kid. I’ve grown up with a dog and now have my own at the age of 25 I am in Norwood living with my partner and looking for work, I decided to put a profile together and take care of pets to earn some money in the mean time. They’re allowed all the free play space in the open living area. Lots of space to run around. We’re close to a field for fetch and walks and I am more than happy to drive to a fenced in dog park. I have a vehicle and can drive to your home as well to hang out in the pets home if need be. I trained my dog by myself she is very responsible. She is energetic but kind and cuddly. She knows how to sit, come, stay, play dead, sit pretty, give paw, and loves fetch
“We have loved having Gail care for our pups and kitty! She has been so good with walking the active ones and snuggling the less active. They all love her! Will definitely use again in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“I am fiercely protective of my home and cat Bandillo. When I leave, I need to KNOW that Bandillo is under the watchful eye of a trustworthy, pet savvy, intelligent, responsible, and highly responsive individual. I feel SO blessed to have connected with Bert, who provided exceptional care over 5 stop-in visitations to feed, clean litter, play and pet Bandillo. He was punctual in his arrival time, attentive to my specific care requests, and generous in the time he gave to connect with Bandillo. On a personal level, Bert presents as a warm and intelligent person, who is motivated to provide the best care, consistently going above and beyond in his feedback. In addition to his stellar care of Bandillo, Bert was highly respectful of our home. When my cat is under the care of Bert, I will relax …knowing that he is in excellent hands in my absence.”

“Maegan figured our cats out on our first booking, and has been fluent in taking care of them. We really appreciate her communication, attention to detail, and photo updates.”

“Elizabeth took great care of our cat Bernie for 3 days. We always worry about leaving him with a pet sitter because he can be shy and skittish and doesn't always warm up to people he doesn't know. Elizabeth has the magic touch because Bernie was always (and immediately!) happy to see her and even came out to play. When we got back, Bernie was happy, well-adjusted and his usual goofy self. Definitely recommend Elizabeth to anyone seeking a reliable, friendly and professional pet sitter!”

“Ani cares for our two special needs dogs for the past week making visits for daily care I.e. feeding and walking as well as giving insulin shots We were updated for every visit with details of their day along with photos She takes her love and professional knowledge, and experience to care for our pets emotional needs as well. Lots of hugs and back massages for anxiety Ani updated us with any concerns that she had resolved them easily which gave my husband and I a stressless and relaxing vacation. We would recommend Ani without hesitation, and look forward to caring for our pets again”

“Rafferty loves it when Jessica comes to visit. She is very thorough and always cleans Rafferty's space. She's very communicative and super easy to work with. Highly recommend Jessica.”
“Jing is awesome with our three dogs! I was really reluctant to let a stranger come into our house but she is always so respectful and trustworthy with our four legged friends! They get excited when she comes through the door 😂 definitely hire her!”

“Cynthia is awesome! She was very accommodating and flexible with the plans for caring for our three cats. Her communication was excellent, and we enjoyed receiving her video and photo updates. She is very caring and kind, and was able to befriend our shy kitties! She gave us peace of mind while we were away, and I would not hesitate to book her again. I highly recommend!”

“Tessa was so sweet and communicative. This was my first time using Rover, and the process was very simple and user friendly. She cared for my brand new kittens for a few days, visiting morning and evening, making sure they hadn’t gotten in to too much trouble! 😼😼 I would certainly recommend her to anyone looking for help!”

About: I am a retired flight attendant who grew up with dogs and throughout the years I have had many pets ranging from bunnies to cats to dogs. I am home the majority of the time, so I will be able to provide your dog with all the love and attention (or space) they need. I live in a house with a fenced in yard and a doggie door, which makes for easy access for dogs to come and go as they please - and bask in the sun on my patio. My love for dogs is unconditional and I will care for yours as if they are my own. I am retired, so I am home majority of the days and evenings. My dog recently passed away, so I thought dog sitting would be a great way to fill the companionship void. I tailor each dog's care based on their individual needs. I have a fenced in yard with a doggie door. I also have baby gates up in the house to restrict pets from certian rooms.
About: I love all pups and will treat your fur babies as my own 🐾 I have been caring for big dogs since I was a child and have always had a love for them. I also have previous experience working at a doggie daycare, with dogs all breeds, ages, and sizes. I have a somewhat flexible schedule and will be home with your pups to follow their bathroom and feeding schedule and get lots of play time and cuddles while they’re in my care! I wake up around 7 am, feeding and bathroom routine, play time and walks throughout the day. I can also stick to any routine needed. There is currently one dog in my home, so I will only be caring for one additional dog at a time. My apartment complex has grassy areas for bathroom time, and I have plenty of room for your dog to play and rest. Neighborhood walks are also available.
“Margaret is amazing! She was punctual, personable, had great communication and treated our dog like her own. She gave thorough updates and great photos! We trust her with our dog and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to come take your dog out. We will absolutely be using her in the future 😊”

With a spacious backyard to run and play in, your dog will have plenty of room to burn off energy and enjoy their time here. I provide a relaxed and loving environment, so your dog can feel safe, happy, and well-cared for while you're away. I’m available most weekends and can start boarding pets on Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM, giving you flexibility for early weekend getaways. I’m also usually home during major holidays, so you can count on me to provide dependable care when you need it most. Whether it's a short trip or a longer stay, I ensure your pet feels comfortable, loved, and well-cared for throughout the year. With my flexible schedule and commitment to your pet’s well-being, you’ll always have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. In my home, your pet will enjoy a warm, welcoming environment with plenty of love and attention. I have a friendly French Bulldog who gets along well with other pets, providing companionship for your fur baby during their stay. If your pet prefers their own space or needs crate training, I also have a crate available for them to use, ensuring they feel secure and comfortable. I offer a balance of freedom and structure, allowing pets to roam freely, play in the backyard, or relax in a quiet area if needed. Whether they need companionship or privacy, I tailor the care to suit your pet’s individual preferences and comfort level.
About: I volunteer at a local shelter which has given me a lot of experience with all different kinds of dogs - large, small, timid, senior, puppies, high energy. I’ve also had a Yorkie since I was young so I’m comfortable with small dogs with big attitudes :) I am typically available anytime after 5pm on weekdays. During the weekends I am usually available any time of the day. If it’s a holiday during the week I tend to be available anytime I am very comfortable with all different breeds/ages and take pride in treating each dog as if they are my own. Boning took wonderful care of our 4 kitties, including 3 older kitties. All of our cats warmed up to her right away, which is rare for our shy crew. She handled med administration with ease and had excellent communication skills, letting us know exactly what had happened during each visit. We would be very happy to have her take care of our kitties again!

As always, Jeff goes above and beyond to take care of Paul. Paul recently had a change in his health a couple weeks prior to our vacation, and Jeff was able to accommodate with medication and monitoring Paul for any changes. We felt calm knowing Paul was in good hands!

Courtney is such a thoughtful and wonderful sitter! She checked on our cat and took care of him while we were gone for 3 weeks. She was thorough and went above and beyond to make sure he was well cared for and kept us posted so we could have a nice vacation knowing he was in good hands. Thank you Courtney!

Tessa was so sweet and communicative. This was my first time using Rover, and the process was very simple and user friendly. Zachary took care of our pup Crumbs during the day while we were at work. He was always on time, communicative, and extremely attentive with Crumbs during their visits. Zachary made sure to play with Crumbs and get him exercise outside which we greatly appreciated! We felt extremely comfortable having Zachary take care of him - he is a very trustworthy sitter and we would reach out to him again anytime.

Ani was amazing with our elderly cat Karina. I didn't need to worry at all during our trip because Karina warmed up to her immediately which she rarely does with unfamiliar people. Ani was extremely conscientious and thorough in her care and made sure that our elderly girl was relaxed and content with massages and plenty of love and attention. Thank you so much, Ani.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
