About: I have been a dog owner for many years, with a major preference for small dogs. Not only do I have lots of experience caring for my own pets, but I have sat and cared for the dogs of many different friends and family, as well as those I don’t personally know well, over the years. I am patient, loving, always try to have fun with the dogs, and always try to give them the best care possible. I’ve had dogs all my life. I got my first dog, Lukey, when I was young and he was my best friend. Originally got him for my mother to keep her company, but fell in love with him myself and made him my own once she passed. I’d take him through the woods on walks and we eventually became inseparable. He passed at age 18. Eventually I met a woman who had two dogs of her own and they became like my kids. I had them for many years, although sadly they are all passed now as well. Currently I help care for two dogs with my ex who lives in the apartment below me, as we are still good friends. I make sure they are well cared for and take them out regularly. I love to play with them. I take dogs very seriously as they are like family to me. I can currently work Monday-Saturday, with exceptions. I do have to schedule around some minor things early in the morning, and those take priority, and those can be discussed, but otherwise I’m completely free. I love animals and always try to give them 100% of the love and attention they deserve. I feed them, walk them, take them out and play with them, and always try to give them my best. I’ve always treated my own dogs as if they were my children, and I extend that to any dog I care for.

About: I grew up in a home with dogs, cats, bunnies, hens and roosters. I have never lived without caring for an animal! I love being outside, going for walks, playing and gardening. I am a mom of two school-aged boys and a proud owner of two tuxedo kitties whom we adopted nine years ago. I work part-time in the afternoons as an outdoor preschool art specialist. I am free between 9:30 am, and 1 pm everyday, and Wednesday and Thursday until 3 pm! I may also have early evenings free starting at the end of June. About: I’ve been dog sitting since I was an early teen. The first dog I ever walked was a golden retriever named Buddy who dragged me down the longest driveway I’ve ever seen. I quickly learned how to make sure that didn’t happen (a good hold on the leash and a treat or two) and we became best pals. Since then I’ve dog sat for friends consistently. I’ve watched dogs of all ages and sizes. I have experience caring for senior dogs (my own just passed at 16). I can administer medication if necessary. About: Since I was 10 years old, neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and care for their dog(s). I've stayed overnight at their houses to provide the requested care as well as visits during the day. Additionally I’ve hosted pet(s) overnight. About: I first started caring for dogs when I was 11 and my family adopted our then 12-week old puppy, Tulip (beagle-hound mix). I was the primary one responsible for her feeding and afternoon walks throughout middle and high school. I also routinely dog sat for neighbors who at the time had a senior poodle, providing daily drop ins and walks. Since moving to Boston, I have been fortunate to become a regular dog walker for neighbors and friends, with experience walking shihtzus, German shepherds, labs, and boxers. While I now own two cats, I would love to get outside and enjoy the summer weather with some new four-legged friends! I work for the public schools, so I am off all summer! I am happy to provide drop-ins or walks throughout the morning and afternoon M-F, with some availability on select Saturday and Sunday afternoons. **School ends on June 26th this year - on dates marked as available prior to June 26th, I can only accommodate afternoon walks between 2:30-7pm. I have cared for puppies all the way up through seniors dogs in their final days, so I am happy to accommodate the specific needs of your dog based on age and temperament. It is my existing habit to send a photo to friends of their dogs every time I visit or take them on a walk, as a way of making sure they know I have actually completed the service and their dog has been properly cared for!

Kristen provided fantastic care to our 2 cats. She followed all of our instructions and kept them well fed, changed litter, and played with them. She also was able to administer medicine to one of our cats who had a medical condition. She put our minds at ease and kept us updated every day we were on vacation with a summary and photos. I highly recommend her. She has great care skills, and great communication skills.
