“Jennifer was a wonderful communicator while she looked after my fur family while I was away. They received lots of amazing attention and care and I received wonderful photos. I never had to worry as Jennifer is the most reliable. She’s patient and kind and I highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets all my life, as my house has never been without pets, I’ve always loved cats and dogs, and I’ve dealt with the every pet issue in the book. I’ve administered meds, snuck meds in food, and planned mealtimes for each pets needs. I’ve taken care of 6 animals at once, personally seeing to each of their needs. With my lifetime experience, I believe I would be a great pet sitter for you! I’m currently working, but weekends I am free! My job is flexible, so I can work around schedules if needed! I can do an overnight stay or a daily check in! I spend plenty of time with play for cats and dogs, and assure each animal that I am a trusted individual. If needed I can crate your dog, or put cats in separate rooms if there are issues with other pets.
About: I have cared for my own pets for many years and have experience looking after family members' pets as well. I currently care for my four cats and previously helped care for my sister's dog by providing feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship. Caring for animals has always been important to me, and I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. I am committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I work full-time during the week, but I am available for pet care on the weekends. I understand the importance of consistency and communication and will work with pet owners to ensure their pets receive the care and attention they need. I am happy to provide updates and photos during visits so owners can feel confident their pets are doing well. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special requests from owners. I understand that pets can become stressed when their owners are away, so I focus on creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment. I also believe in regular communication and am happy to provide updates and photos throughout my visits.
About: What sets me apart from most pet sitters and dog walkers is that I currently do not drive so my form of transportation will either be the bus or Uber to care for your cute furry companion. I have about 18 years under my belt with pet both cat and dog experience, so rest assured that your pet(s) will be in great hands. I currently do not own a pet due to restrictions where I currently live but I am in the process of becoming a first time owner and will be accepting in home care. Chose me as your pet caregiver, I wont let you down! I can start immediately based on where you are located. feel free to shoot me an email. I am currently taking care of my disabled mother but I have plenty of time to play with your furry friends. Open availability 7 days a week until further notice. I will keep your fur baby safe! Just tell me all that he/she needs and consider it done. I take pride in providing safety and trust between you and your pet!
About: Hi! I’m a warm, caring, professional dog walker looking to add some walks and boarding to my schedule. I absolutely love dogs, and will treat yours as if it were my own with all the love, care and attention they deserve! I am comfortable with puppies, seniors, and even have experience with more reactive pups. I can’t wait to meet you and your dog! I am a professional dog walker with a local company two days a week, but am looking to add more walks and visits to my schedule. When I’m not dog walking, I’m working on building a sustainable swimwear brand from home, so I have lots of flexibility to work around your schedule. I don’t have any pets of my own, so yours will be the center of attention! I live on the second floor of a two family condo building. I don’t have a fenced backyard, but I live right off the Neponset River Trail and there are lots of great walking route and trails in my neighborhood. If your pet is used to sleeping in your room with you at night, I am happy to have them in my room, and can accommodate crated or uncreated dogs. In general I try to keep your pet’s schedule as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and at home.
“I recently moved to the Boston area with my two large dogs. Finding a dog walker/sitter was a top priority for me, especially since both dogs loved their last walker! Ann Marie has been professional since day one. She asks detailed questions about the dogs, and carefully chooses the best care for each one. We have used her for about a month now, and the dogs love her visits. She has gotten to know their individual personalities, and I know they look forward to when she comes! On top of her ability to connect with dogs, she is incredibly flexible. I find her easy to book and work with, especially as I balance multiple schedules, and I am not consistent with my bookings. I expect to continue working with Ann Marie for quite a while!”

“I'm very thankful for Wanda because I was away overseas and my previous sitter had to cancel.. this was not a situation any pet parent should ever be put through and I was able to get ahold of Wanda who came to the rescue even without me being there to show her the procedure for taking care of my 2 cats. (Granted, I had a Youtube video giving an overview of the process and I gave her the codes to my lockbox and my home alarm which all went smoothly.)”

“Karen was amazing! Super communicative and reliable - she also went above and beyond in cleaning up when our kitty made a mess and send great photos and videos that helped us feel comfortable and confident in her services. We could tell our kitty appreciated her visits as well!”

“Our second time using Kristen’s services to take care of our dog. She’s super informative about what’s going on during the stay and Sends lots of pics.”

“Megan was so lovely and communicative!! She took great care of our cats while we were gone for 4 days and handled basic needs and a few special requests. Our new go to cat sitter :)”

About: Hi, I’m Al! 🐾 I’m a dog walker and trainer in training who loves getting dogs outside—whether it’s a long hike, group walk, or just burning off energy. I have experience handling multiple dogs and making sure everyone feels safe and has a great time. I love finding spots for dogs to swim, explore, or play fetch—if that’s their thing! In my other life, I’m a women’s sports photographer, so you can expect some pretty great photo updates 📸 My goal is always a happy, tired pup who had the best time! I’m a photographer (yes I can photograph your dog!!) and am flexible with my time management. Weekdays when work is in the way can be tough but I can help! I have experience crating dogs, long walks, special food necessities and lots love! I enjoy giving extra play time and attention or a comfortable lap to nap on!
“Madison has been cat sitting for me for quite some now and is likely the only person I will book for my cat sitting needs. They’re incredibly reliable and makes sure all of my pet’s needs are met. Very trustworthy person who I would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“We were happy to leave our two cats in Oliver's hands. The kitties established an immediate rapport at our first visit, and Oliver sent along photos each day so we knew they were doing well. They were well taken care of.”

About: I've nearly two decades of experience as the main care giver for dogs of all sizes. Currently I have a 2 year-old lab mix who loves getting to play with our boarders or day care pups! Additionally, I have successfully pet sat older dogs and those with medical issues, and can confidently handle dogs of all sizes, ensuring they receive the care and affection they deserve while their owners are away. We take walks 2-3 times a day and allow yard access and play time multiple times per day. I also have a number of enrichment puzzles if the weather isn't favorable / you have a less active dog. I have a fully fenced in yard that your dog would be able to have all to themselves. My home is two floors, but I am able to set up a comfortable sleep area for you dog on the first floor if their mobility doesn't allow them to easily access the upstairs bedrooms during boarding. I allow dogs that I sit to be off leash in my yard but never let them outside alone. A meet and greet with my your dog and my 2 year old, 35lb female lab mix is required before any boarding / daycare booking can be confirmed.

We love working with Sarah! She’s extremely capable, professional, and communicative. Our dogs very much enjoy her visits, and she handles their medications, mobility issues, and particular quirks very capably! We can travel with peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands.
Felicia took the time to do a meet and greet and also took great care of our three crazy pups while we were out. Very communicative and sent lots of photos, we don’t let many people watch our dogs so was very thankful Felicia was so great with them, highly recommend!

Madison is great with communication, scheduling, and adhering to rules. It’s clear that she loves dogs and wants them to be comfortable. She did well meeting my dog, moving at her speed, and applied this to her first drop-in visit. My dog had a fun time with Madison as she incorporated a few different activities during her visit.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
