Jennifer is everything you'd ever want in a cat sitter. She's super experienced with animals, organized and communicative. She's also funny and warm - you'll feel totally at ease leaving your littles with her. We had some nuanced stress and medication situations going on that she was totally both able to trouble shoot and stay in touch with us on. And lastly she really seemed to enjoy our cats. I give her 11 out of 10.

About: I have had a dog since I was in diapers! I’ve also trained all my dogs on my own and have very well-behaved dogs. I am truly a dog lover and will take care of your dogs as if they’re my own! I am available most weekends, all day. I cannot do during the week for the most part as I have a full-time job, but there is some flexibility with holidays and such. I will follow any instructions given to me to care for your pet in your home. I have a husky with high anxiety, so unfortunately cannot care for your babies in my own home.

About: I have been around dogs and cats all of my life. Growing up in the Hudson Valley, we had two dogs: an American Pit Bull Terrier and an APBT Staffie mix. They were the most athletic and lovey dogs! In their senior years, they had medical issues so I am experienced with med management and adopting activities to their capabilities. We also had several cats growing up including adopted strays. Currently, my fiance and I have a half APBT, half Siberian Husky dog. He is the best! We adopted him from a family that kept him in his crate for so long that he bit off a large portion of the hair on his tail. He was reactive in the beginning, lunging at cars on the road and barking and lunging at dogs on walks. I used Spirit Dog Training’s reactivity course and my education in behavioral psychology and research to fix these issues. He no longer does either things and his hair has grown back in spades! We keep him busy by training him (tricks) and mentally stimulated with sniff walks and games like find it, as well as off leash time, hikes, runs, etc. We love hiking with Oto: he recently completed numerous hikes in Acadia National Park and has done Camel’s Hump in VT and Mt. Osceola in NH: he plans on completing the NH 48! In general, I love being outside and active: hiking, snowshoeing, snowboarding, running, kayaking, rock climbing and going to the gym. I love all dogs, but have a particular drive to keep working dogs happy and healthy! German Shepherds, Border Collies, Huskies, Cattle Dogs, Anatolian Shepherds: it is amazing what they can do and how they have served our communities in numerous roles for decades. I have spent a lot of time with my sister’s German Shepherd and half GSD half Anatolian dogs and my family's Great Danes. I also volunteered at a therapeutic horseback riding center and rode horseback for several years; I find being around horses to be great training for how to interact with, and train, dogs. They are so big that they don’t HAVE to listen to you. Maintaining confidence (even if you don’t feel like it) and a steady hand go a long way, as well as keeping aware of their body language and behaviors. They are very sensitive creatures. In the Fall of 2026, I am resuming my graduate program in clinical social work and have indicated my availability in the details section. However, those times and days don't apply during winter and summer breaks (open availability then). Please share your dog's behaviors and needs with me before scheduling walks. If your dog is reactive (barks at dogs on walks or lunges) please let me know and I can adjust the walking route and make sure to give other dogs plenty of space. Let me know what their usual distance on walks is, as I can try to adjust my pace accordingly. I have a lot of experience with this (decades). If you have treats for your dog, I can take them out with me if needed.

About: I’ve had cats, dogs, and hamsters and I am willing to experience a lot more! Don’t worry, I always enjoyed animals and providing them with love and care, so your mind will be at ease when you are away. I recently completed school but I also work a per diem job. Aside from studying to receive my certification, I have plenty of time to be with your cute companions, and spend time with them. Who knows, maybe while we’re together we can become the best study buddies. I am extremely flexible and always willing to discuss further if you have interest in booking. As I’ve had plenty of experience with Cats, I’m well aware of choking hazards on string like materials. I try to keep items like this out of reach! I am very clean when it comes to my space and noticed that this helps as some kitty’s can be a little curious and knock things off surfaces. When things are put away correctly there’s less chance for mess or danger. I am still gaining some experience with Dogs and puppies. As far as safety, I only do leashed walks to not only protect your pup but others who may be passing by as well! Again, I'm pretty organized and will avoid leaving items out, especially food! I know some animals are very food motivated and leaving food products out can be dangerous.

About: Hello, and thank you for showing interest in my profile. First off, whether you’re a first-time Rover user or someone with more experience, I commend you for taking this step in finding a sitter for your pet. Our pets are our family, and by no means is it easy to entrust a stranger with their lives. I assure you that if you book with me, I’ll do right by you and your furry friends! My name is Jainah and I’m 22 years old. I’ve loved animals my entire life and recently decided to work with them professionally. During the majority of the year I work full-time at a small kennel, but have some downtime until August 11th and am using it to petsit via Rover. Taking the professional route with my passion for animals not only allows me to spend more time doing what I love, but also provides me with invaluable experience recognizing animal body language, administering medication, socializing, and much more. All this knowledge I apply as I’m petsitting, a measure I take to ensure the quality of my care. I grew up having cats as household pets (with a hamster or two mixed in) so for a while they were the extent of my animal care experience. Then in my early teens I started taking horseback riding lessons, and it was the constant handling of large animals that took my confidence to the next level. That leads me to where I am today: working primarily with dogs and cats while revisiting horses from time to time. Though my experience for now is limited to those few animals, I welcome and value all new animal experience. If you’re patient and willing to teach, I’m willing to learn. Across all my animal experience one thing remains constant: the importance of paying attention to detail. When leaving your pet in my care be sure to also leave instructions explaining feeding/walking schedules, medications, etc. As for activities: I do enjoy a nice long walk, so if you can recommend a few routes I’m more than happy to explore them with your pet. If indoor play is more their style I can accommodate for that too, just let me know. Dedicating time every day to keeping boredom away is all part of animal care, and I take it as an opportunity to get up and get active myself. Once again thank you for showing interest in my profile. I hope to provide my services to you and your animal companions soon! 🐶🐱🐴 💚 p.s. : i have a soft spot for scent hounds. bloodhounds, coonhounds, beagles. you name it, i love it :) Since I am free all summer I will have no problem creating my schedule around your pet’s. Just let me know what a typical day looks like for them and we can go from there. Be sure to communicate with me what your pet’s requirements are in regards to walks, potty breaks, medications, etc. I’d also like to know what your pet’s temperament/social behavior is like. This is so I can know how to conduct myself around them or in the presence of other pets, like on a walk for example.

It was December when our two cats, Martha and Rosie, filled our home and hearts with joy. Since then we haven’t traveled for longer than a couple of nights. This was our first experience with the rover app and Ann Marie. We cannot be happier and relieved from our very positive experience. Ann Marie took great care of our two girls. From the moment she came for the initial house visit, to her amazing and open dialogue during our vacation. Certainly put things at ease. Martha is usually afraid of strangers, but she warmed up to Ann Marie by the end of the week. We looked forward to our daily updates with many great pictures of them. We will definitely use Ann Marie’s services for every trip. Thank you!!

About: I’ve been a dog owner myself, so I understand the love, patience, and responsibility that come with caring for a pet. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I’ve also looked after dogs for family members and close friends by feeding them, taking them on walks, playing with them, and keeping them company while their owners were away. As a CNA, I’m dependable, attentive, and committed to following routines and instructions carefully. I’ll treat your dog like family and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Pet care fits well into my schedule, and I enjoy spending my free time with dogs. I’m available for dog walks, drop-in visits, and longer visits when needed. I keep my availability up to date and will always do my best to accommodate your schedule while providing reliable, loving, and attentive care for your pet. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I’ll carefully follow your dog’s routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special instructions you provide. About: I have cared for my own pets for many years and have experience looking after family members' pets as well. I currently care for my four cats and previously helped care for my sister's dog by providing feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship. Caring for animals has always been important to me, and I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. I am committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I work full-time during the week, but I am available for pet care on the weekends. I understand the importance of consistency and communication and will work with pet owners to ensure their pets receive the care and attention they need. I am happy to provide updates and photos during visits so owners can feel confident their pets are doing well. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special requests from owners. I understand that pets can become stressed when their owners are away, so I focus on creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment. I also believe in regular communication and am happy to provide updates and photos throughout my visits.

About: I’ve been dog sitting since I was an early teen. The first dog I ever walked was a golden retriever named Buddy who dragged me down the longest driveway I’ve ever seen. I quickly learned how to make sure that didn’t happen (a good hold on the leash and a treat or two) and we became best pals. Since then I’ve dog sat for friends consistently. I’ve watched dogs of all ages and sizes. I have experience caring for senior dogs (my own just passed at 16). I can administer medication if necessary. I’ve been a dog lover my whole life and truly miss having my own now. I am excited for the opportunity to care for your pups! I’m currently working from home most days and manage my own schedule. Some days are less meeting heavy than others. I have more time around lunch and after 3pm. I make sure to thoroughly follow all instructions and rules left behind by my clients. I know that mistakes can happen but I think a lot of them are preventable. Staying alert and paying attention can help you to make sure things go smoothly.

About: I’m just an animal lover, through and through. I have an almost 12 year old boxer/pit that I raised from 7 weeks. Through this experience I know how to care for weeks-old puppies to older dogs. Animals always want to play with me and I feel that it’s because they sense my good energy. I will keep your dog fed and happy! It’s important for our pups to stay active and stimulated. Please feel free to reach out to learn more about me, ask any questions about my services and more. Looking forward to meeting you & your pup! Pet care comes natural to me. I will spend a lot of time with your pup and mine in order to keep him/her active and happy. I usually take them to the dog park so they can socialize and get their energy out. I also love cuddles! I love an affectionate pup.

About: I have always loved taking care of animals since I was young- from dogs, cats, chickens, and fish I have always been surrounded by animals. I have a particular interest in animal behavior and training- I always want to ensure animals feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed when they are in my care. Before moving to Boston, I attended Colorado State University seeking my degree in veterinary medicine- the classes I attended focused on animal behavior, animal environment, and specifically handling large animals such as cattle. During my time there, I acquired my IACUC training for animal handling (can provide if needed, however it technically expired last year) and successfully performed medication administration, vaccine/medication injections, bovine castration, proper animal handling, and more. Unfortunately due to a family emergency I could not finish my degree, however I am looking to complete my animal training certification, as I still love working with animals! While I, myself, do not currently have any pets, my roommate has a cat that I help care for- his name is Boog and he's incredibly cute! I currently work part time Saturday-Monday mornings- after 3pm I am completely free! If your pets can be left alone for about 8-9 hours (travel time depending), I can house sit on these days while working. The rest of the week, I spend time on my hobbies and doing research on animal behavior, meaning I will have plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, and whatever else your pet may desire. I like to set up a trial run before any official appointment just to make sure your animal is comfortable with me and vice versa! This gives a great time where your animal has a familiar person (you!) to reassure them that I (a stranger) am no threat, as well as going over care instructions, any medical concerns, and your typical routine for your pet(s).

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Hyde Park with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hyde Park. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
