“Ann-Marie did a wonderful job taking care of our 10-year old Bernese Mountain Dog, Zeus. She stopped by to walk and spend time with Zeus three times a day for almost a week and provided helpful updates throughout. She was really great!”

About: Hi! I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and truly can’t imagine a home without them. I’m currently the proud dog mom to a 1 year old longhaired dachshund named Rolo, who completely has my heart! Caring for him has given me even more hands-on experience with daily exercise, training, playtime, and lots of love and attention. While I haven’t owned a cat of my own, I absolutely adore them and have experience cat sitting for friends and families. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and needs, and I always aim to make them feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal as if they were my own! I work for Dedham Public Schools. For this reason, I am home earlier in the day than most people (3pm or so). I am open to drop in visits after work or on the weekends. I also am available on school vacations including summer break! In your home, I will take care of your pet as if they were my own. I am happy to abide by special directions for unusual needs or quirks! I will ensure your animal(s) are safe and given lots of love!
About: As an animal lover of all kinds from Guinea pigs to Great Danes, I have 10 years of experience taking care of my own dog and Guinea pigs as well as two years of experience in Emergency and Intensive Veterinary Care working as a Vet Tech Assistant at one of the higher ranked animal hospitals in Connecticut. I have experience working with dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and guinea pigs of all ages and in all different conditions of health. I am trained in animal CPR, Care (cage cleanings, food, water, etc.), walks every 2-4 hours, and more! So if your pet makes a mess or needs a little extra love - there's nothing I can't handle! I am currently home from college for the summer, so I am free most days of the week Mondays through Fridays, from extremely early mornings to later nights! In my own home, I have a dog and a guinea pig - this means frequent walks, feedings, plenty of play time and love, cage cleanings, enrichment, nail trimmings (only done by self on guinea pig), and baths every so often. I am of course going to treat your pet as I would my own, not just with plenty of love, but if there are any services you would like done while I am with your pet, let me know!
“Molly was timely and great about giving updates. I didn’t feel anxious at all after her visit. I will definitely be reaching out when my Chomp Doggy needs care. Thank you again!”

About: I am a neuroscience graduate from BU and was briefly a a PhD student at CUNY and now work for a nonprofit. I have had two beautiful dogs, a white lab and a black lab German Shepard. They were both super energetic and cuddly. Both have recently passed away. Despite being small, I’m great at handling dogs of all size and demeanors. I was a cat sitter for 8 months for two sweet orange cats: May and Pumpkin. They’re a bit older but are playful sweeties Currently my availability is pretty open and I’m also pretty flexible. Apart from my own pets, I have cat, dog, and rabbit (yes) sat for many friends and family and have always been asked to do it again. I also have worked as a dog walker for 6 months for dogs as large as German Shepards to chihuahuas. Though we did not offer house sitting, I have done this for many friends and from walking, have experience entering and leaving homes respectfully and befriending dogs without their owners present. Dogs bring me so much joy but I can’t have my own due to my lease so I’d love to play with yours :) and I love my cats but am always excited to meet new ones I am currently job searching for a 9-5 but am really looking for a great fit so I don’t anticipate starting immediately and… I love animals!! I try to leave everything as I found it. I am happy to go over your special pals needs. I will probably update you/ask questions the first day or so just to make sure I can have the best time with your pup. I also send tons of pictures!!!
“So glad to have found Caroline! it was Coco’s first time with a new person and the visit went great. Very good communicator. Really appreciate her taking care of Coco!”

“Liz was fantastic! She was timely, responsive, and took great photos. Most importantly, she listened to our cat and gave him space when needed. Would highly recommend”

About: I am a 21 year old college student home for the summer. I helped care for my beloved childhood dog for 13 years before he passed last year. Our house is empty now and I would love to care for your dog! I also have a year of experience volunteering at a dog shelter where I fed, walked, bathed, and helped socialize the dogs. I am a dog lover and would give your dog lots of love! I will be able to walk dogs anytime before 3pm all days except Saturday. For boarding, I am living with my parents so they and/or my partner will be able to step in to help care for your dog when I am away at work. I can also offer morning/afternoon day care anytime before 3pm. I will have plenty of time in the morning and afternoon to play with your fur baby! I have an unfenced yard out front, but can walk your dog leashed around the neighborhood and in the front yard! I live in a single family home with no other pets. I have dog toys, leashes, and dishes for food and water. I do not have a crate or pen, so this will need to be provided if needed for your dog. Preferably non shedding dogs for boarding.
About: I’ve had cats, dogs, and hamsters and I am willing to experience a lot more! Don’t worry, I always enjoyed animals and providing them with love and care, so your mind will be at ease when you are away. I recently completed school but I also work a per diem job. Aside from studying to receive my certification, I have plenty of time to be with your cute companions, and spend time with them. Who knows, maybe while we’re together we can become the best study buddies. I am extremely flexible and always willing to discuss further if you have interest in booking. As I’ve had plenty of experience with Cats, I’m well aware of choking hazards on string like materials. I try to keep items like this out of reach! I am very clean when it comes to my space and noticed that this helps as some kitty’s can be a little curious and knock things off surfaces. When things are put away correctly there’s less chance for mess or danger. I am still gaining some experience with Dogs and puppies. As far as safety, I only do leashed walks to not only protect your pup but others who may be passing by as well! Again, I'm pretty organized and will avoid leaving items out, especially food! I know some animals are very food motivated and leaving food products out can be dangerous.
“Alyson keeps an eye on our two cats for us every time we go out of town. She always goes above and beyond, and we come home to happy, well-fed cats. I used to be very anxious about leaving them, but now I can actually relax and enjoy my trip knowing Alyson is taking great care of them!”

About: I have been around dogs all of my life. Growing up in the Hudson Valley, we had two dogs: an American Pit Bull Terrier and an APBT Staffie mix. They were the most athletic and lovey dogs! They completed a five mile hike that has a fairly long and vertical scramble section at 14 years old! In their senior years, they had medical issues so I am experienced with med management and adopting activities to their capabilities. Currently, my fiance and I have a half APBT, half Siberian Husky dog. He is the best! We adopted him from a family that kept him in his crate for so long that he bit off a large portion of the hair on his tail. He was reactive in the beginning, lunging at cars on the road and barking and lunging at dogs on walks. I used Spirit Dog Training’s reactivity course and my education in behavioral psychology and research to fix these issues. He no longer does either things and his hair has grown back in spades! We keep him busy by training him (tricks) and mentally stimulated with sniff walks and games like find it, as well as off leash time, hikes, runs, etc. We love hiking with Oto: he recently completed numerous hikes in Acadia National Park and has done Camel’s Hump in VT and Mt. Osceola in NH: he plans on completing the NH 48! In general, I love being outside and active: hiking, snowshoeing, snowboarding, running, kayaking, rock climbing and going to the gym. I love all dogs, but have a particular drive to keep working dogs happy and healthy! German Shepherds, Border Collies, Huskies, Cattle Dogs, Anatolian Shepherds: it is amazing what they can do and how they have served our communities in numerous roles for decades. I have spent a lot of time with my sister’s German Shepherd and half GSD half Anatolian dogs. I also volunteered at a therapeutic horseback riding center and rode horseback for several years; I find being around horses to be great training for how to interact with, and train, dogs. They are so big that they don’t HAVE to listen to you. Maintaining confidence (even if you don’t feel like it) and a steady hand go a long way, as well as keeping aware of their body language and behaviors. They are very sensitive creatures. In the Fall of 2026, I am resuming my graduate program in clinical social work and have indicated my availability in the details section. However, those times and days don't apply during winter and summer breaks (open availability then). Please share your dog's behaviors and needs with me before scheduling walks. If your dog is reactive (barks at dogs on walks or lunges) please let me know and I can adjust the walking route and make sure to give other dogs plenty of space. Let me know what their usual distance on walks is, as I can try to adjust my pace accordingly. I have a lot of experience with this (decades). If you have treats for your dog, I can take them out with me if needed.
“I recently moved to the Boston area with my two large dogs. Finding a dog walker/sitter was a top priority for me, especially since both dogs loved their last walker! Ann Marie has been professional since day one. She asks detailed questions about the dogs, and carefully chooses the best care for each one. We have used her for about a month now, and the dogs love her visits. She has gotten to know their individual personalities, and I know they look forward to when she comes! On top of her ability to connect with dogs, she is incredibly flexible. I find her easy to book and work with, especially as I balance multiple schedules, and I am not consistent with my bookings. I expect to continue working with Ann Marie for quite a while!”

“Marie did a great job taking care of our cat while we were away for a week, she was very responsive and our kitty was clearly well taken care of and happy when we got back. Will definitely hire her again!”

“Sarah was attentive to my cats needs and sent me photos everyday. I really appreciated the piece of mind she gave me knowing that my cat was well taken care of during my trip.”
“Absolutely Amazing! Tanya took care of our cat while we went to Spain for Christmas and New Years. She is extremely responsible, trust-worthy and really good at communicating! She even took out our trash for us! Would totally recommend to anyone. Thank you, Tanya✨?️”

West Roxbury dog parents share their Rover experiences
Mirabel was a huge lifesaver for us! She stepped in last minute to support us when our pet sitting plans went awry. She was so responsive and communicative, and sent great updates about our pets. We will definitely reach out to her for future care and wholeheartedly recommend her!
We love working with Sarah! She’s extremely capable, professional, and communicative. Our dogs very much enjoy her visits, and she handles their medications, mobility issues, and particular quirks very capably! We can travel with peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands.
Morgan was super easy to communicate with. I really appreciate their care and attention to our pups. Morgan went above and beyond to make sure they got fed even though they can be very picky eaters. It's a relief to find someone we can trust to take great care of the dogs.

Felicia took the time to do a meet and greet and also took great care of our three crazy pups while we were out. Very communicative and sent lots of photos, we don’t let many people watch our dogs so was very thankful Felicia was so great with them, highly recommend!
