I’ve loved and cared for animals all my life. Whether it be my own pets (I currently have two cats), walking dogs or house sitting, I show up with all of my patience, understanding and vigilance. For the past 5+ years I worked in doggy daycares handling large groups of dogs in every size and shape. My responsibilities included maintaining a safe and clean environment for all and staying vigilant. I had to observe the dog’s behaviors at all times and be quick to think and act in order to de-escalate if needed. These environments needed a lot of patience and the ability to remain calm in high stress situations. The daycares also included boarding services which required morning and night feedings as well as giving medications when needed. This job gave me the skills needed to understand dog behavior and body language and how to respond. This job also gave me knowledge and skills in training and behavior management/modification. I believe I have a skill set that sets me apart because not only do I have the experience and honed abilities in something I love, I would be honored to put my hard work to use in service of the one you love.
