About: My husband has had dogs all growing up and misses them! He is very good with handling and loving them. We would like our kids to have the same experience and exposure, while giving your pet care while you’re on vacation! We have taken care of friends’ dogs while they’ve been away and one suggested that we sign up for rover - so here we are! I work full-time at home and would love to take walk breaks with your pup! We have 3 young kids (ages 7, 5, and 4) who would love to play in the morning and evenings in the backyard with the dog and learn skills on taking care of pets at an early age. My husband would love to stay up petting your dog while he watches tv! We have active weekend schedules with sports events and social activities, and we'd love to bring your pup along or meet them back at home afterward for down time and movie night! We are lucky in the city to have a long driveway and 4-car garage with secure yard bordered by fence and stone wall. We live on a street with sidewalks. We are always in the driveway and garage - the dog would be welcome to explore! We live two blocks from Roslindale Square and are always walking in that direction to the library and shops.
About: I have solid experience caring for dogs, and I truly enjoy every moment with them. For me, walks are more than just a simple outing they’re fun adventures your dog deserves! I’m affectionate, patient, and always focused on making them feel safe, loved, and happy. I’m happy to take care of your best friend! Whether it’s for a few hours, a fun walk, or even staying with them when needed. I’m here to help. I’m available every day except Tuesdays and Thursdays. I’m happy to adapt to your furry friend’s routine whether it’s at home or during walks. I understand that every pet has their own needs, and I love giving them the care and attention they deserve.
About: Hey hey! My name's Victoria, but friends call me Rev. I moved here a couple of years ago now from Georgia, began pet sitting in April 2024, and it's currently my full-time job! I've been fascinated with animals since a young age, with about ~17 years of experience, mainly with cats. As I've gotten older, I've fallen in love with the human-animal bond, and have become passionate about their care and respecting each one the way they deserve. Regardless of your pet's personality, preferences, or needs, I'm excited to meet, care, and accommodate your little darling with the same love as you would! I hope to hear from you soon 😊! As this is my full-time job, I'm capable of prioritizing my schedule to work for you and your sweetheart(s). I'm always sure to communicate if something may come up during your booking, such as other gigs or obligations outside of work, that way there's total clarity on where and when I'll be in relation to your pet(s). If you're not sure, please feel welcome to ask! If I can fit them into my schedule, even on short-notice or alongside another sweetie, I'm more than happy to see what I can do. I've got the kind of guest attitude you can expect from a typical Southerner! I take the care of another's space very seriously, doing my best to leave things as I found them, and due to a background in housekeeping it's not uncommon for me to do some cleaning before I leave. You can trust to come back to your home just as you left it, if not with less dust than before!
“Oliver took great care of our sweet cat Waffles, dropping in twice a day while we were away for 9 days. The photos and messages were very reassuring and helped me feel less separation anxiety. I would definitely book with Oliver again!”
“James was an excellent caregiver for my cat. He came over early to see the house and meet Finbar, sent nice updates and pictures. I would be happy to use his services again.”

“If you need someone for your furry family members, you have to choose Madison! My not so friendly shiba took to her on their first visit and it was such a relief, animals really do know who the good ones are. Thank you so much Madison!”

About: I have done a lot of animal sitting since I was in high school looking after my nieghbors dogs and cats when they were away. I am a huge animal lover but I am best with dogs and cats. Before I went to college my nieghbor had just bought a puppy and we had just got a cat, I trained the cat and I did most of the dog walking for the puppy. Being able to play and care for animals is the best job I can think of. I can’t wait to meet your fur baby! I would love to be able to work with familiar clients and their animals. I provide over night pet sitting services, dog or cat walking, and drop in’s. I can take care of your fur babies Friday to Monday, for anything outside that time I may have availability, so just ask! I work a full time job 8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday. I typically go off the rules you lay out for your pet along with their usual routine. I want to make things as easy as possible for you and your pet. If you have a list of dietary restrictions or medication they need to take, I’m happy to learn as well as get them the care they need. If they have a specific dinner or walk time, I want to make sure I stick to it for you.
“Margaret was very friendly, kind, and communicative! My cats really liked her at their meet n greet. When I got home after my trip, the cats were relaxed and content. I’ll definitely hire Margaret again!”

About: Hi, I’m Al! 🐾 I’m a dog walker and trainer in training who loves getting dogs outside—whether it’s a long hike, group walk, or just burning off energy. I have experience handling multiple dogs and making sure everyone feels safe and has a great time. I love finding spots for dogs to swim, explore, or play fetch—if that’s their thing! In my other life, I’m a women’s sports photographer, so you can expect some pretty great photo updates 📸 My goal is always a happy, tired pup who had the best time! I’m a photographer (yes I can photograph your dog!!) and am flexible with my time management. Weekdays when work is in the way can be tough but I can help! I have experience crating dogs, long walks, special food necessities and lots love! I enjoy giving extra play time and attention or a comfortable lap to nap on!

“Michael really helped us out with our older girl. He did three walks a day so she could get her mental stimulation and energy quota. You can tell he’s a dog lover and adapts to different dog personalities. Would definitely trust Michael with our girl in the future.”

“Tommy did an exceptional job caring for my two fussy cats for 6 days! My cats both need medicine and extra care every day and Tommy was consistent, reliable, and a great communicator. I can tell my cats were well cared for while I was away. Thanks so much Tommy!”

About: I've been caring and taking care of many different furry friends over last 4 years. They vary from energetic cavalier, less than a year old, to a 12 year old pekinies with lot of medications. Every lovely souls are welcomed at our house! Let's have fun! I am a freelance designer who work remotely. My working hour is less than 3 hours each day at my desk, I always feel loved and peaceful with pet friends near me ! We do have decently spaced, semi- fenced yard right outside our door. “Valerie was great with our puppy Blue! She was easy to communicate with, and took really great care of him. We were very happy with the experience and would definitely recommend her.”

About: I adore dogs but with a busy career and a teenager with bazillion sports, I prefer to get my dose of canine love through dog sitting! As an educator by trade, I treat the dogs I care for with lots of love. Dogs don’t talk back and it is so much more pleasant 🙂 I am an educator by trade and have summers off, so I’m looking to add some local dog sitting gigs while I have extra time off. I have two small balconies in my condo, and have boarded dogs in my home for up to 6 weeks while dog mom travels. I also do drop ins and have much more flexibility in the summer.
“Ella was perfect! Our animals absolutely loved her! Her timing was perfect and she was very helpful with every request we had. I can’t recommend her more and I’ve had many Rovers!”

“Jose took great care of Sammie, especially as she is a shelter dog, and has been improving with her reactive nature on leash! I got 2-3 pictures and a cute blurb about each visit, which was so reassuring! Highly recommend and would have him care for her again anytime.”

“Thank you so much Jasmine ! She took such phenomenal care of my cat , stayed the whole time to play with him , cleaned the litter box and went above and beyond . So trustworthy . Thank you again .”

Mirabel was a huge lifesaver for us! She stepped in last minute to support us when our pet sitting plans went awry. She was so responsive and communicative, and sent great updates about our pets. We will definitely reach out to her for future care and wholeheartedly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
