About: I’ve taken care of neighbors & family friends dogs since middle school, doing drop-ins, walks & overnight stays. I also have experience with senior dogs, both my own & friends’ who I’ve cared for. My childhood dog, and best friend, passed away almost two years ago, and as a huge dog lover, I’ve been missing having a pup in my life! I would love to love yours <3 I work a full-time job, but am hybrid, so I’m only in the office Tuesdays & Wednesdays! I can do walks in the mornings before work on Monday or Friday, after work any day of the week (adjusting for the commute on Tuesday/Wednesday), and can be free on the weekends! If you’re near where I live, I could also pop in during the work day on my remote days. Unfortunately our apartment doesn’t allow dogs :( But I will follow your lead on what works best for you & your pup(s) in your space! I want to make sure everyone feels comfortable with the routine & arrangement!

“Michael really helped us out with our older girl. He did three walks a day so she could get her mental stimulation and energy quota. You can tell he’s a dog lover and adapts to different dog personalities. Would definitely trust Michael with our girl in the future.”

About: I became a dog lover 15+ years ago when my family got our first dog, Sir. Since then, I’ve loved dogs and have become the person friends/family/coworkers turn to do dog sitting. I’m a Nurse in Boston and have a fluctuating schedule but would love to fit in some walks or boarding when I can! I miss having a dog of my own in my life so taking care of yours I will treat it as my own! Also even though I am at work, my roommate also loves dogs so would be home with them while I’m at work until I come home so their needs during the day would be taken care of! My boyfriend has a cat that is 6yo and she is very chill/sweet but more of a scaredy cat who likes her own private space away from everyone. If a dog or another cat were to approach her she would most likely just hiss and move on about her day so a dog who is friendly towards cats/doesn’t care is perfect! I work full time and can be home by 3/3:30 unless working an off shift. On weekends I have the most flexibility and on some weekdays after 3p I would be able to do walks or drop ins. I have a male roommate that WFH and loves dogs so he would be home with them while I am away during the day so they’re never fully alone unless he’s in office that day! I’ve taken care of many of my family/friends dogs and I tend to like to stick to the schedule they are used to at home to help alleviate any stress that comes with a new environment. I have experience in giving medication to dogs including oral, IM, IV as well. I do now have a 6yo cat so want to make sure they are comfortable around a cat who is very chill and reserved.
“Nick was great with our cat Delilah! He was very professional and came and met her ahead of time. She was very comfortable with him as we saw through many cute photos! We would definitely book with Nick again.”

“Jana was a perfect dog sitter! She accepted the job on very short notice and arrived early. She really saved the day! She was very gentle and loving with my tiny chihuahua puppy. I loved getting the picture updates. Thank you, Jana!”

“James was an excellent caregiver for my cat. He came over early to see the house and meet Finbar, sent nice updates and pictures. I would be happy to use his services again.”

About: Hi! I'm a recent graduate who lives with a senior cat; I have a lot of experience with senior pets, special needs pets, medication administration, etc. I'm able to exercise with and play however your dog likes! I've been pet sitting and walking dogs for my friends and family (and Wag!) for over a decade (dog in the profile picture is my brother's dog Kuma!) Pets bring me so much joy and I want to help take care of them as a community effort :) I'm here to build trust, please ask any questions 🫰 I am a gig worker currently, therefore very flexible—request me and there's a high chance I'll be available! I'm around weekends and weekdays, my own cat has plenty of alternate caregivers. I would not be able to host pets in my home, but would follow any rules at clients homes to make pets feel safe and regulated :) consistency helps them and me!
“Katie was very responsive to meet up on short notice. We had a great meeting with Lou for future sitting opportunities. Katie was easy going, super friendly and transparent about her experiences with dog and cat care in people's homes. Katie was very forthcoming about her approach and very forward thinking about caring for Lou, asking many important questions and checking in on specifics to accommodate Lou and his needs. Katie's approach to pet care is very genuine and connected to the experience of the individual pet and owner- this is much appreciated. We look forward to working with Katie and would recommend her again as our current dog walker has to us.”

“Katherine went above and beyond in just a single visit. It was immediately clear how much she genuinely cares for animals, especially cats. Finding a trustworthy cat sitter can be surprisingly difficult, so we feel incredibly lucky to have found Katherine!”

“Madison is a wonderful pet sitter. She took great care of my kitty. Her updates were so detailed and she took amazing pictures. It made me so happy to know my cat was in great hands. I will definitely book her again in the future.”

“Thank you so much Jasmine ! She took such phenomenal care of my cat , stayed the whole time to play with him , cleaned the litter box and went above and beyond . So trustworthy . Thank you again .”

“We had just moved to Boston and needed a needed a dog-sitter on short notice for our Great Dane pup, Gordon, and David crushed it! He is super-patient and confident with our big boy and expertly communicative. David will always be our “go to!””

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 14 years old. Helping walk, feed, and dog sit for multiple days at a time for neighbors. I continue to help out neighbors and friends when asked upon I work part time so I have lots of spare time to play with some awesome dogs. My schedule is very flexible so I can work mornings or overnights with your dog I will be sure to show all dogs lots of love and if asked I can have your dog crated in your house. Brush him/her as well.
About: I have always loved taking care of animals since I was young- from dogs, cats, chickens, and fish I have always been surrounded by animals. I have a particular interest in animal behavior and training- I always want to ensure animals feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed when they are in my care. Before moving to Boston, I attended Colorado State University seeking my degree in veterinary medicine- the classes I attended focused on animal behavior, animal environment, and specifically handling large animals such as cattle. During my time there, I acquired my IACUC training for animal handling (can provide if needed, however it technically expired last year) and successfully performed medication administration, vaccine/medication injections, bovine castration, proper animal handling, and more. Unfortunately due to a family emergency I could not finish my degree, however I am looking to complete my animal training certification, as I still love working with animals! While I, myself, do not currently have any pets, my roommate has a cat that I help care for- his name is Boog and he's incredibly cute! I currently work part time Saturday-Monday mornings- after 3pm I am completely free! If your pets can be left alone for about 8-9 hours (travel time depending), I can house sit on these days while working. The rest of the week, I spend time on my hobbies and doing research on animal behavior, meaning I will have plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, and whatever else your pet may desire. I like to set up a trial run before any official appointment just to make sure your animal is comfortable with me and vice versa! This gives a great time where your animal has a familiar person (you!) to reassure them that I (a stranger) am no threat, as well as going over care instructions, any medical concerns, and your typical routine for your pet(s).

I go on daily walks, do morning/evening feedings, playtime and love keeping pets active and loved. I work locally and have a flexible schedule (off for the summer because I’m a teacher!), so I’m able to give your pets consistent attention, whether it’s for a quick visit or overnight care. I’m used to balancing routines, and I genuinely enjoy spending my time with animals, they’re family in my world. I offer care exclusively in clients homes to help pets stay comfortable in their familiar space and routine. About: I have solid experience caring for dogs, and I truly enjoy every moment with them. For me, walks are more than just a simple outing they’re fun adventures your dog deserves! I’m affectionate, patient, and always focused on making them feel safe, loved, and happy. I’m happy to take care of your best friend! Whether it’s for a few hours, a fun walk, or even staying with them when needed. I’m here to help. I’m available every day except Tuesdays and Thursdays. I’m happy to adapt to your furry friend’s routine whether it’s at home or during walks. I understand that every pet has their own needs, and I love giving them the care and attention they deserve.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Roslindale
Ella was amazing to work with. She was super responsive and took excellent care of Blue. I loved how much feedback she gave in her rover cards. It was such a weight off my shoulders to know Blue was in good hands while I was away. I will definitely ask Ella to watch Blue again in the future.

Ann-Marie was absolutely amazing ! She was so loving and kind to my 2 golden retrievers. From the moment she walked in, she was playing with the dogs and it was obvious she loves animals. It was such peace of mind knowing my 2 dogs were being cared for so warmly. Ann-Marie went above and beyond and I couldn’t recommend her more. She gave great updates , sent pictures and exceeded what I had hoped for. So grateful to have found her !

My dog, Rocco, is a 15 year old terrier who had never been under the care of a dog sitter. I was extremely fortunate that Marilyn was available to attend to his care over the past weekend. Marilyn is a very warm, friendly, compassionate, and deeply caring sitter. My dog gravitated to her immediately. Marilyn provided the most amazing and utmost care of our dog throughout the weekend. I highly recommend her services, and will contact her immediately for all my future dog sitting needs.

Nadia was absolutely amazing with our dog, Finn! From the moment i met her, we knew he was in great hands. She was incredibly caring, attentive, and kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Came home to Finn happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It was obvious that Nadia treated him like he was her own. She went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable, exercised, and loved. I would recommend Nadia to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely caring dog sitter. We will definitely be booking with her again. Thank you, Nadia, for taking such wonderful care of Finn!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
