“AMAZING. If you need someone reliable and that goes beyond this is your sitter. She picked up my request last minute. Ann-Marie provide detailed reviews. She took out my girl to parks and different locations. I 100% recommended Ann-Marie and I will be rebooking with her when I need someone to watch Kilala.”

“Kristen was absolutely terrific. Our old dog has to spend long days alone when we are at work and Kristen came to visit her for walks and friendship while we were gone. She always sent wonderful updates about their adventures and was clearly very sweet to our old girl in addition to getting her some exercise. She even brought her a toy and left us a sweet card. I can't say enough about Kristen and how much we appreciated her. I can enthusiastically recommend her to anyone who wants peace of mind knowing that their pet will be well loved and cared for.”

“Gabriel did a great job helping me out with a last minute request on a tight schedule. I really appreciated his flexibility and responsiveness. I think Percy was happy too!”

“Mengyao is a fantastic walker and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of her services. We booked her on short notice but even still, she was able to accommodate last minute, was highly communicative, and asked thoughtful questions in advance to make sure she was well equipped to handle my two dogs—one of which can be a difficult walker. On top of that, she put me at ease by sending many videos and photos throughout the walk, which was very much appreciated! We will definitely have Mengyao walk our dogs again.”

“Morgan and Meaghan were great! They were very easy to work with. On top of that, they were very flexible with our last minute request. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good dog sitter.”

About: I have a deep love and respect for non-human animals. Growing up with multiple indoor and outdoor cats and a family dog (a feisty miniature poodle!), I have developed a strong knowledge base of pet behavior. In my work as a pet caretaker, I look for and respond to behavioral cues and needs, allow space for pets to come to me and feel safe with me, adapt to pets' energy levels, encourage play, and bring a compassionate, patient, and responsible nature. I have most flexibility to take care of your pet on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Afternoons work well for me. Mornings depend on my schedule and pet parents' schedule. First, I greet the pet and check in on their overall wellbeing. If I am pet-sitting, I will take a quick look about their living environment to make sure that it is clean and safe. If I notice an accident or that the pet has gotten into something, I alert the pet parent. I take care of any in-home needs, and then I spend time connecting with the pet through play, attention, and treats (if allowed!). If I am dog-walking, I make sure to bring the pet's gear (leash, harness, poop bags, water, treats) and prepare a planned route.
“Daisy took amazing care of our pup! She took her for daily walks while we were away. She was prompt, caring, and gave wonderful updates! Will definitely be using Daisy’s services again.”

About: I grew up in a home with dogs, cats, bunnies, hens and roosters. I have never lived without caring for an animal! I love being outside, going for walks, playing and gardening. I am a mom of two school-aged boys and a proud owner of two tuxedo kitties whom we adopted nine years ago. I work part-time in the afternoons as an outdoor preschool art specialist. I am free between 9:30 am, and 1 pm everyday, and Wednesday and Thursday until 3 pm! I may also have early evenings free starting at the end of June. I have plenty of time in my schedule to help you care for your animals. Looking forward to meeting them! I am fun, gentle, playful and caring, and have a good instinct for what dogs and cats need. I can read body language and am sensitive to energy. I look forward to learning more about your pets from you, getting to know them and forging a relationship.
“Jana is amazing! She’s reliable, caring, and always goes the extra mile. Our dog adores her, and we have total peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

I always follow your instructions carefully to keep their routine consistent from feeding schedules to playtime and cuddles so they feel safe, happy and loved wherever they are.

About: Hello, my name is Stacy and I’m 34 years old. I joined Rover because I love spending time with pets but I’m not in a position to have my own. Since having joined Rover, I’ve worked with reactive dogs, puppies a couple of weeks old, intact dogs and dogs having undergone surgery. I’ve also either pet sat or lived with Labrador Retrievers, Pugs, Poodles, Chihuahuas, Old English Bulldogs, Shih Tzus, Schnauzers, Irish Wolfhounds, Pitbulls, German Shepherds, Great Danes and others. This is aside from the cats, reptiles and tarantulas I’ve either sat for or interacted with during a long term period. As of April 2026, my longest stay (over two weeks) has been for a dog with cancer. It’s been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I’m available to sit, do drop-ins and walks every day of the week. I’m a small business owner in a separate industry and grateful for the flexibility. I generally require a 3 day notice for house sitting, walks and drop-ins. There are days in which I can make myself available the same day ONLY for walks and drop-ins. You will know if I am available for same day walks and drop-ins if I have appeared in your search results. You are welcome to submit a request for same day service then. I do not do walks and drop-ins for others during a house sitting if a client has indicated they are uncomfortable with this or if it conflicts with another pets walking/feeding time. I do not bring guests of any kind to client’s homes. It is fine if clients have service workers such as house cleaners entering the home, as long as I am made aware of the time of their arrival. I generally do not wear shoes in people’s houses and I always clean up after myself if staying for several hours or more. I may bring house slippers to wear inside based on the circumstances. Please indicate if you are able to provide both a towel and a washcloth. It is ok if you can only provide one of these or neither. I will bring my own if needed. I am slightly anemic so I ask that you keep your place at a reasonable temperature. You may also provide a few blankets.
“Oliver was great and handled my two weirdo dogs very well. I came home to happy pups and he communicated well. I would love to work with him again, thank you so much Oliver!”
“Thanks Giuliana for taking care of Harlie with the pick up, the walk and feeding her. She was excited to be back home and it made our life so much easier. You are the best abs I would highly recommend her.”

I’m a photographer (yes I can photograph your dog!!) and am flexible with my time management. Weekdays when work is in the way can be tough but I can help! About: My husband has had dogs all growing up and misses them! He is very good with handling and loving them. We would like our kids to have the same experience and exposure, while giving your pet care while you’re on vacation! We have taken care of friends’ dogs while they’ve been away and one suggested that we sign up for rover - so here we are! I work full-time at home and would love to take walk breaks with your pup! We have 3 young kids (ages 7, 5, and 4) who would love to play in the morning and evenings in the backyard with the dog and learn skills on taking care of pets at an early age. My husband would love to stay up petting your dog while he watches tv! We have active weekend schedules with sports events and social activities, and we'd love to bring your pup along or meet them back at home afterward for down time and movie night! We are lucky in the city to have a long driveway and 4-car garage with secure yard bordered by fence and stone wall. We live on a street with sidewalks. We are always in the driveway and garage - the dog would be welcome to explore! We live two blocks from Roslindale Square and are always walking in that direction to the library and shops.

“Our 2 dogs were well taken care of by Jadeth and Noah while we were away. They came on time and sent us pictures with updates on our dogs. That gave us peace of mind as we tend to be worried of leaving them at home by themselves. We really appreciate their care and walks. Our dogs looked happy to see them. We will definitely reach out to them again next time.”

Mirabel was so awesome! She helped me out last minute by walking Theo and even though he gave her lots of trouble by hiding from her at first, she was so patient with him and still took him on a long walk. She provided a thorough note and lots of photos which I greatly appreciated. 10/10 would recommend!

Callie and Thor love walking with Mengyao!! Grandma says they get so excited when she walks in the door and they come back from their walks nice and tired!! I got great updates and pictures from the walks that we knew they were well taken care of!! I highly recommend Mengyao for your dog walking needs- she is amazing!!

If you’re looking for a dependable and caring dog sitter, Cynthia is the one! She helped me out when I was in a tight scheduling situation and was able to fit me in on short notice. Milo was a little grumpy at first because he hadn’t seen her in a while, but Cynthia was patient, understanding, and somehow won him over. She handled everything with care and professionalism. She even came back the next day to walk Milo for me, which I greatly appreciated. I am so grateful for Cynthia’s services and the peace of mind she provided. She is reliable, kind, and truly cares about the pets she works with. I will absolutely continue to use her services in the future. Highly recommend! 😘

I the MOST wonderful experience with Kaylee. She was amazing, highly communicative, and truly went above and beyond in caring for my dog who struggles with separation anxiety. She was attentive, patient, and proactive in managing my dog’s needs which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. She was a true lifesaver. I would highly recommend Kaylee to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter. I would have loved to continue working with her long term if she wasn’t moving to a different state, and I would do so in a heartbeat.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
