“Kristen was absolutely terrific. Our old dog has to spend long days alone when we are at work and Kristen came to visit her for walks and friendship while we were gone. She always sent wonderful updates about their adventures and was clearly very sweet to our old girl in addition to getting her some exercise. She even brought her a toy and left us a sweet card. I can't say enough about Kristen and how much we appreciated her. I can enthusiastically recommend her to anyone who wants peace of mind knowing that their pet will be well loved and cared for.”
“Jana started with us this month and has done a wonderful job taking care of our elderly Frenchies. Jana is communicative and takes feedback well, and she’s willing to go the extra mile when we’ve asked for specific things. Highly recommend!”

“Morgan and Meaghan were great! They were very easy to work with. On top of that, they were very flexible with our last minute request. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good dog sitter.”

“AMAZING. If you need someone reliable and that goes beyond this is your sitter. She picked up my request last minute. Ann-Marie provide detailed reviews. She took out my girl to parks and different locations. I 100% recommended Ann-Marie and I will be rebooking with her when I need someone to watch Kilala.”

“Mengyao is a fantastic walker and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of her services. We booked her on short notice but even still, she was able to accommodate last minute, was highly communicative, and asked thoughtful questions in advance to make sure she was well equipped to handle my two dogs—one of which can be a difficult walker. On top of that, she put me at ease by sending many videos and photos throughout the walk, which was very much appreciated! We will definitely have Mengyao walk our dogs again.”

“Ella has been an outstanding regular dog walker for us, with walk 3 times per week. She is extremely responsive, reliable and friendly and she has gone above and beyond to take excellent care of our dog. Highly recommend her!”

“Maeve was excellent. She was always on time to get Copley and he very much look forward to the walks. She also took very great pictures of their outings which were awesome to see.”

About: Hi there! I’m Caitlin a proud mom of five, lifelong animal lover and active outdoor enthusiast. I have two dogs named Maverick & Val and a cat named Tuna. I truly understand how important it is to know your pets are in loving, dependable hands while you’re away. I studied at West Virginia University and now live in the Boston area, where I balance family life, work and caring for animals like they’re part of the family. Whether it’s going for a long walk, playing in the yard, or just keeping your pet company, I bring energy, patience and genuine affection to every visit. With a full household and years of experience managing schedules, routines and personalities (human and furry!), I’m organized, reliable, and deeply committed to keeping your pets happy, healthy and loved. I love being outdoors, running, hiking, walking, or playing soccer, so your pup will enjoy plenty of exercise and enrichment with me! Whether you’re looking for drop in visits, overnight care, or long walks I’d be honored to care for your pet like they’re one of my own. Feel free to reach out with any questions! Pet care is already part of my daily life! Between my own pets & children, caring for animals is second nature to me. I go on daily walks, do morning/evening feedings, playtime and love keeping pets active and loved. I work locally and have a flexible schedule (off for the summer because I’m a teacher!), so I’m able to give your pets consistent attention, whether it’s for a quick visit or overnight care. I’m used to balancing routines, and I genuinely enjoy spending my time with animals, they’re family in my world. I offer care exclusively in clients homes to help pets stay comfortable in their familiar space and routine. “Daisy took amazing care of our pup! She took her for daily walks while we were away. She was prompt, caring, and gave wonderful updates! Will definitely be using Daisy’s services again.”

About: I have always loved taking care of animals since I was young- from dogs, cats, chickens, and fish I have always been surrounded by animals. I have a particular interest in animal behavior and training- I always want to ensure animals feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed when they are in my care. Before moving to Boston, I attended Colorado State University seeking my degree in veterinary medicine- the classes I attended focused on animal behavior, animal environment, and specifically handling large animals such as cattle. During my time there, I acquired my IACUC training for animal handling (can provide if needed, however it technically expired last year) and successfully performed medication administration, vaccine/medication injections, bovine castration, proper animal handling, and more. Unfortunately due to a family emergency I could not finish my degree, however I am looking to complete my animal training certification, as I still love working with animals! While I, myself, do not currently have any pets, my roommate has a cat that I help care for- his name is Boog and he's incredibly cute! I currently work part time Saturday-Monday mornings- after 3pm I am completely free! If your pets can be left alone for about 8-9 hours (travel time depending), I can house sit on these days while working. The rest of the week, I spend time on my hobbies and doing research on animal behavior, meaning I will have plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, and whatever else your pet may desire. I like to set up a trial run before any official appointment just to make sure your animal is comfortable with me and vice versa! This gives a great time where your animal has a familiar person (you!) to reassure them that I (a stranger) am no threat, as well as going over care instructions, any medical concerns, and your typical routine for your pet(s).

Giuliana was amazing! I booked her last minute to walk my 4 year old Mini Bernedoodle. She made time to come over for a visit the day before to ensure a smooth transition. I could tell my dog Cruz loved her right away. Giuliana is reliable and communicative, describing the walk and care. She sent adorable pictures, one of our cat as well which we really appreciated. We absolutely will book with her again and highly recommend to others! Thanks Giuliana!

Luis is kind, thoughtful and very patient. It’s no surprise to say that he’s good with dogs, but of our two that he worked with, one is reactive and anxious. Luis did not let that bother him. He was confident and let her approach him at her pace. Never once did he rush their meeting. He clearly understands dogs, and treated our two like individuals, which was really important because they are so different. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
