About: Hi, I’m Lindsay! 🐾 I have dedicated my career to the well-being of animals, blending over a decade of professional dog walking and hands-on pet care with professional veterinary hospital experience. From leading structured off-leash playgroups and serving as a Daycare Shift Supervisor to working as a Client Liaison at MSPCA-Angell Animal Medical Center, I have cared for almost every breed, size, and temperament imaginable. Whether I am providing dedicated house sitting in your home or dropping in for daily walks and check-ins, my background means your fur family is getting far more than standard pet care: - Behavioral Expertise & Comfort: I am highly skilled at reading canine body language, maintaining calm dynamics, and using positive reinforcement to keep anxious or sensitive pets feeling safe and loved. - Medical Peace of Mind: With my veterinary hospital background, I am deeply experienced in administering medications, managing strict schedules, and recognizing subtle signs of health concerns. I am also certified in Dog CPR, First Aid, and Safety. - Seamless Routines & Cleanliness: I take a lot of pride in keeping a tidy, comfortable environment. Food and water bowls stay fresh, your home stays respected and neat, and if the classic New England weather gets messy, your pet gets a cozy towel-dry before settling in. Because my schedule is highly flexible, your pet's exact routine is my top priority. I am a cat owner myself and love caring for both dogs and cats of all comfort levels. I’m always happy to provide detailed credentials and professional references to give you total peace of mind. I’d love to connect via a phone call or a meet-and-greet to see how I can best love and support your pets in the comfort of their own home! Pet care is my daily routine, which means my schedule revolves entirely around the needs of my furry clients and their pet parents! Whether it’s mid-day neighborhood walks, wooded hikes, structured playtime, or accommodating last-minute schedule changes, my current lifestyle allows me to be incredibly dependable, available, and fully present for your pet every single day. A typical day with me is the perfect mix of structure, safety, and pure fun, completely tailored to your pet’s unique groove! Whether your pup needs high-energy hikes and legendary games of fetch to burn off steam, or more leisurely neighborhood strolls and engaging brain games tailored for smaller paws, I customize the day to them. I take a lot of pride in keeping a clean, tidy environment. Food and water bowls are always fresh, play spaces stay neat, and if that classic New England weather gets messy, your pet gets a cozy towel-dry or a refreshing bath before settling in to relax.

Sarah is hands down the best choice for dog walking! Sarah has made sure that my dog has taken her medication on days she spits it out in her bowl, always makes sure she has water, and is cognizant of how much a dog can handle in weather extremes. She sends detailed updates that I look forward to every day, and with some pretty sweet pics too! I can’t say enough good things about Sarah. Professional, reliable, consistent, and a true dog lover. She lets my dog set the pace of the walk and leaves time for lots of sniffs and rolling in the grass, evidence of a happy dog. If you’re looking for a dog walker you can trust in your home and with your pets, look no further!

About: I have been around dogs and cats all of my life. Growing up in the Hudson Valley, we had two dogs: an American Pit Bull Terrier and an APBT Staffie mix. They were the most athletic and lovey dogs! In their senior years, they had medical issues so I am experienced with med management and adopting activities to their capabilities. We also had several cats growing up including adopted strays. Currently, my fiance and I have a half APBT, half Siberian Husky dog. He is the best! We adopted him from a family that kept him in his crate for so long that he bit off a large portion of the hair on his tail. He was reactive in the beginning, lunging at cars on the road and barking and lunging at dogs on walks. I used Spirit Dog Training’s reactivity course and my education in behavioral psychology and research to fix these issues. He no longer does either things and his hair has grown back in spades! We keep him busy by training him (tricks) and mentally stimulated with sniff walks and games like find it, as well as off leash time, hikes, runs, etc. We love hiking with Oto: he recently completed numerous hikes in Acadia National Park and has done Camel’s Hump in VT and Mt. Osceola in NH: he plans on completing the NH 48! In general, I love being outside and active: hiking, snowshoeing, snowboarding, running, kayaking, rock climbing and going to the gym. I love all dogs, but have a particular drive to keep working dogs happy and healthy! German Shepherds, Border Collies, Huskies, Cattle Dogs, Anatolian Shepherds: it is amazing what they can do and how they have served our communities in numerous roles for decades. I have spent a lot of time with my sister’s German Shepherd and half GSD half Anatolian dogs and my family's Great Danes. I also volunteered at a therapeutic horseback riding center and rode horseback for several years; I find being around horses to be great training for how to interact with, and train, dogs. They are so big that they don’t HAVE to listen to you. Maintaining confidence (even if you don’t feel like it) and a steady hand go a long way, as well as keeping aware of their body language and behaviors. They are very sensitive creatures. In the Fall of 2026, I am resuming my graduate program in clinical social work and have indicated my availability in the details section. However, those times and days don't apply during winter and summer breaks (open availability then). Please share your dog's behaviors and needs with me before scheduling walks. If your dog is reactive (barks at dogs on walks or lunges) please let me know and I can adjust the walking route and make sure to give other dogs plenty of space. Let me know what their usual distance on walks is, as I can try to adjust my pace accordingly. I have a lot of experience with this (decades). If you have treats for your dog, I can take them out with me if needed.

About: I'm a lifelong animal lover and cat owner with experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and birds. I understand that every pet has unique needs and strive to provide the attentive, loving care they deserve. I have a flexible part-time schedule and primarily offer drop-in visits for cats, dogs, and other small pets. I'm often available for same-day or short-notice requests, and I'm happy to help with vacation coverage or other short-term care needs. My availability is best suited for occasional, as-needed care rather than recurring weekly visits. I always aim to care for pets in a way that keeps them comfortable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible. In a client's home, I follow their pet's usual schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), litter box or cleanup care, and plenty of attention and companionship to help them feel at ease while their owner is away.

About: I grew up in a home with dogs, cats, bunnies, hens and roosters. I have never lived without caring for an animal! I love being outside, going for walks, playing and gardening. I am a mom of two school-aged boys and a proud owner of two tuxedo kitties whom we adopted nine years ago. I work part-time in the afternoons as an outdoor preschool art specialist. About: Hello, and thank you for showing interest in my profile. First off, whether you’re a first-time Rover user or someone with more experience, I commend you for taking this step in finding a sitter for your pet. Our pets are our family, and by no means is it easy to entrust a stranger with their lives. I assure you that if you book with me, I’ll do right by you and your furry friends! My name is Jainah and I’m 22 years old. I’ve loved animals my entire life and recently decided to work with them professionally. During the majority of the year I work full-time at a small kennel, but have some downtime until August 11th and am using it to petsit via Rover. Taking the professional route with my passion for animals not only allows me to spend more time doing what I love, but also provides me with invaluable experience recognizing animal body language, administering medication, socializing, and much more. All this knowledge I apply as I’m petsitting, a measure I take to ensure the quality of my care. I grew up having cats as household pets (with a hamster or two mixed in) so for a while they were the extent of my animal care experience. Then in my early teens I started taking horseback riding lessons, and it was the constant handling of large animals that took my confidence to the next level. That leads me to where I am today: working primarily with dogs and cats while revisiting horses from time to time. Though my experience for now is limited to those few animals, I welcome and value all new animal experience. If you’re patient and willing to teach, I’m willing to learn. Across all my animal experience one thing remains constant: the importance of paying attention to detail. When leaving your pet in my care be sure to also leave instructions explaining feeding/walking schedules, medications, etc. As for activities: I do enjoy a nice long walk, so if you can recommend a few routes I’m more than happy to explore them with your pet. If indoor play is more their style I can accommodate for that too, just let me know. Dedicating time every day to keeping boredom away is all part of animal care, and I take it as an opportunity to get up and get active myself. Once again thank you for showing interest in my profile. I hope to provide my services to you and your animal companions soon! 🐶🐱🐴 💚 p.s. : i have a soft spot for scent hounds. bloodhounds, coonhounds, beagles. you name it, i love it :) Since I am free all summer I will have no problem creating my schedule around your pet’s. Just let me know what a typical day looks like for them and we can go from there. Be sure to communicate with me what your pet’s requirements are in regards to walks, potty breaks, medications, etc. I’d also like to know what your pet’s temperament/social behavior is like. This is so I can know how to conduct myself around them or in the presence of other pets, like on a walk for example.

Thank you Sean! Sean was amazing with our Aussie Rusty. We were not at home for the week and Sean picked up and dropped off Rusty from our elder parents. They said he was so nice chatting with them, punctual every day, making sure Rusty got his long walks and did his business. Sean sent us a daily report card with photos along the walk and charted out new neighborhoods in our town. Rusty must have loved that! We had a heavy downpour one of the days and Sean took the time to make sure Rusty was all dried up after the walk. It was such a positive experience for us all thanks to Sean and without hesitation we would recommend Sean to any one who want their babies :) cared for when you are away.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
