“Our 2 dogs were well taken care of by Jadeth and Noah while we were away. They came on time and sent us pictures with updates on our dogs. That gave us peace of mind as we tend to be worried of leaving them at home by themselves. We really appreciate their care and walks. Our dogs looked happy to see them. We will definitely reach out to them again next time.”

“Nancy stepped in with short notice to cover for my usual dog walker. She was very responsive and even made time for a meet and greet with my pup before the scheduled week of dog walking. She checked in daily, sent pics and was super detailed in her describing her outings and play with my good boy. I highly recommend Nancy and will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Lauren was so nice and friendly and so good with Cookie. She came thru in a pinch and I am so grateful. Cookie was so happy to see her! I will rebook with Lauren!”

About: Hi! I’m a warm, caring, professional dog walker looking to add some walks and boarding to my schedule. I absolutely love dogs, and will treat yours as if it were my own with all the love, care and attention they deserve! I am comfortable with puppies, seniors, and even have experience with more reactive pups. I can’t wait to meet you and your dog! I am a professional dog walker with a local company two days a week, but am looking to add more walks and visits to my schedule. When I’m not dog walking, I’m working on building a sustainable swimwear brand from home, so I have lots of flexibility to work around your schedule. I don’t have any pets of my own, so yours will be the center of attention! I live on the second floor of a two family condo building. I don’t have a fenced backyard, but I live right off the Neponset River Trail and there are lots of great walking route and trails in my neighborhood. If your pet is used to sleeping in your room with you at night, I am happy to have them in my room, and can accommodate crated or uncreated dogs. In general I try to keep your pet’s schedule as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and at home.
“Jose is awesome, our dog can give walkers a hard time (not wanting to leave the house) and with him, this wasn’t an issue. Great communicator, great with our dog and all around great guy. Thanks for your help!!”

About: I have been a pet sitter for a couple years! Also, I have volunteered and interned at a veterinary hospital these experiences helped me become more informed on pet care. My main priority is providing your pet with the best care!! I will clean water bowl, provide fresh food and any further needs . I currently work a full time job but typically free Monday anytime before 8am and then again after 6:30pm, Tuesday and Thursday anytime from 9-11:30am and then again after 4pm, Wednesday, and Friday anytime from 7-1:30pm. For Saturday anytime in the day works for me and for Sunday anytime before 6am and then again at 3:30pm. My main priority is comfort making sure you are comfortable with entrusting your pet in my care and making sure your pet is comfortable with me. I will do this by allowing the pet to become familiar with me so they aren’t scared and providing treats as well as playful sessions to get them comfortable.

“AMAZING. If you need someone reliable and that goes beyond this is your sitter. She picked up my request last minute. Ann-Marie provide detailed reviews. She took out my girl to parks and different locations. I 100% recommended Ann-Marie and I will be rebooking with her when I need someone to watch Kilala.”

About: Hi, my name is Richard. I grew up taking care of my family’s pets, I love all types of animals but cats and dogs hold a special place in my heart and being around animals has always been second nature to me. I took a break from Rover this past year while I moved and focused on work, but I’m fully back now with an open to give your pets my full attention. I currently work from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule. That means I can give your pet the time, attention, and consistency they need throughout the day. I believe each animal deserves their own personal care and routine, whether it’s walks, playtime, or just relaxing together. With me, your pet will always feel safe, loved, and cared for like they’re part of my own family. I have a flexible career working from home. This means I’m always around to give pets the attention they need, whether that’s a morning walk, midday playtime, or just keeping them company throughout the day. Your pet won’t be left waiting for care. I build my schedule around making sure they feel happy and comfortable. I will care for your pet like it is my own. Whether it is in my home or yours I will ensure that they are comfortable, well loved, fed and played with.
“The best. My dog is an anxious one so I really wanted someone calm and Zack is perfect. My dog actually likes him a lot and feels safe with him. He even listens to him well and wags his tail at him!! For reference, my dog is still afraid of some of my friends I’ve known since he was a puppy and he took to Zack almost immediately.”

“Owen was friendly and dependable. We went on vacation and Owen was able to interface with my mother in law to walk our husky. I would recommend Owen to anyone and will use his services again in the future.”

About: I’m a great sitter because animals have always been a part of my life. I’ve had the joy of raising dogs from puppies to adulthood, including a mini-poodle named Mikey, who was a cherished part of our family for 11 years. Currently, I have a 2-year-old cat named Cash and a 1.5-year-old dog named Jax. My care also extends to parakeets, other small birds, hamsters, and fish. Additionally, I have always found myself being a sitter for the pets of my relatives and I am currently fostering 2 cats. I have experience with nursing pets back to health after surgeries. I’m currently working part-time, so I have time to hang with the fur-babies! On weekdays, my afternoons are free, I do not work on Friday and Saturdays, and every night is available for possible boarders, as I am home. When caring for pets I prioritize their health, comfort, and emotional well-being. I ensure they’re well-fed by preparing and cooking their food according to their specific dietary needs. If a pet is unwell, I take the time to nurse them back to health with close attention and gentle care. I am also the person that takes my pets to their vet appointments. I also make sure they feel loved and secure by spending quality time with them—petting, cuddling, and playing—tailored to their personality and preferences. Each pet is treated like family, with patience, compassion, and responsibility at the heart of everything I do.
“Nyla absolutely loves her walks/adventure time with David! She also has opportunities to socialize with other dogs in a regular basis which is so very important to me to her overall well being. I appreciate David’s understanding of this and ensuring that Nylas needs and her little personality are recognized and appreciated. He has also,(more than once) been flexible in taking Nyla on last minute occasions if needed. He is also very prompt in responding communication wise.”

“Ange is so lovely! Our boys (two large boys) immediately took a liking to her and did really well with their walks. Definitely will be booking with her again soon”

“Tavery was awesome with our dog! We had a last minute need for a dog walker and she was available. She provided great updates on an our pup! We'll definitely request her again.”

“Corrina and Tracy and very transparent and communicative with us during the whole process. Even though my dog is super skittish and defensive, they were very patient and gentle with him. 100% would recommend and book again!”

“Catherine did a great job walking our dog on several occasions (even with short notice). She is trustworthy, good with communication, and thorough. Would love to use her services again!”

About: (I am only able to house sit during the day, not available overnight) I have had a family dog in my life ever since I was born. My first dog lived to be 15 and he lost the ability to use his legs around the age of 9. We took care of him by giving him medication, carrying him in and outside of the house, and even purchasing a wheelchair for him to be able to go on walks again. I was 16 when this was happening and played a huge role in taking care of him. We had another dog throughout this time and were responsible for feeding, bathing, and walking both dogs. I now have one dog who I walk regularly and take on hikes. I have dog-sat for both neighbors' and family's dogs and cats since I was 15. I am currently starting a part-time position and will have more available during weekdays to spend time with your sweet pets! I tend to have few obligations on the weekends, as well. I have two friendly dogs who live at my house, one that I just adopted as my own puppy to take care. We have a very large yard that he runs around in with an electric fence. However, we do have a long run that is tied to a tree in the middle of my yard. I would prefer to take care of pets in my clients' homes in order to make the pet and owners feel the safest.
“Jasmine was great! She was very attentive to Theo and made sure to carry him up and down the stairs to avoid injury, gave him his food and washed his paws after the walk. I highly recommend Jasmine as a dogwalker! I will be requesting another dog walk from her soon.”

Autumn is reliable, responsive and easy to work with. I left my dog Fitz with my mother in law for over a week while I was away. Autumn coordinated directly with MIL and was always on time to take Fitz on walks. She’s also great at documenting walks with photos - couldn't ask for better, thanks Autumn!
Leander was very on time and communicative. We have a very high energy pup that can get overwhelmed on walks and he has been extremely patient with her! He has been very receptive and understanding of Mia’s needs and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to wear their pups out while they are at work!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
