“I am so grateful for Liza! I can see the way Koda looks at her in the photos he’s sooo comfortable with her. She’s always on top of things when it comes to caring for Koda… sometimes more than me! She also has been so accommodating even with short notice on my end. She’s amazing and we are so lucky to have her !”

“Hyesoo is responsible and dependable, communication was excellent from start to finish. She shows up on time, followed the instructions, and really cared about my dogs’ safety and well-being. My dogs came back happy and well exercised”

About: I grew up in a household where there were always other animals around. At a time, I’ve had a maximum of 4 pets in my home, 2 at minimum. I grew up taking care of my sick-prone Chihuahua who I cared for until she was 16 years old. I am familiar with senior pets (both cats and dogs) and can administer basic sickness medication. I am an avid animal lover and would love to spend some time with your pet!!! I am a recent college graduate! I work remotely and my schedule is extremely flexible. While I can not offer care in my home for your pet(s) due to my housing, I have the flexibility to check-in for long and short periods of time, house sit, take animals on walk, administer basic medication, just love and cuddle on them—you name it. I am happy to work around your animal’s schedule and figure out what works best for you and them! In caring for your pet, my top priority is ensuring that your animal feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away, and that you feel safe and comfortable with my service! Your pet’s safety is my number one concern: I will take the time to learn your pet’s specific needs and ensure that their home is secure. I believe trust is the foundation of a great pet-sitting experience, so I will clearly communicate with you regarding your pet with regular updates and following your instructions! I am familiar with most safety systems, fences, gates, codes, etc… I myself am an anxious pet mom, so I am happy to meet you where you are at in regards to communication about your pet.
“Emma is amazing. Great at communication, trustworthy and absolutely amazing with my dog. He is always looking forward to his walks with Emma and will for sure miss her!”

About: I’ve spent my whole life around animals — from helping raise dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, and hamsters in my own home, to professionally pet sitting and walking since I was a a young teen. What sets me apart is how naturally and intuitively I connect with animals of all kinds and how deeply I care about making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved when they're with me! I’ve had the unique (& humbling😄) experience of raising & training (crate, potty, leash) a beagle puppy as a 15-yr-old, while also helping my senior golden retriever through end-of-life care. I've also fostered and understand the unique needs of different breeds, temperaments, and how to meet pups where they're at. Whether it’s managing an energetic puppy's exercise routine, gently caring for a senior pet's slower pace, or understanding how to read a timid dog's body language—I’m highly attuned to the needs of every pet & always happy to follow special instructions.😊 My ultimate goal is to make sure your pet feels right at home with me & give you complete peace of mind knowing they’re in the most loving, reliable hands possible! I’m currently focusing full-time on pet care, so I have a very open & flexible schedule! Whether you need a midday walk, overnight care, or last-minute help, I’m available & happy to work around your routine. I genuinely love spending time with animals & I’m excited to fill my days/weeks giving your pet the attention they deserve. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, their safety, comfort, and happiness always come first. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, keep your & their space clean and safe, and send regular updates (& pics). Any specific instructions should be discussed ahead of time, otherwise I’ll ask questions as they arise. I am highly attentive to communications (messaging/calls) when pet sitting for everyone’s sake! I live in a spacious, 3-bed 2-bath, 2nd story sunny apartment with plenty of room to play & relax. I have a lots of cat/dog toys, but happy to use yours if applicable. My neighborhood is very safe and quiet, with quick access to the street for potty breaks & right around the corner from a beautiful park with a fenced-in play area - plus walking distance from 2 fenced dog parks for extra exercise & playtime.
“Rachel was a huge help when I was out of town for the weekend, walking and feeding my girl who has some behavioral issues. She was communicative, kind, and most of all - great with my pup! Thanks for everything and will definitely book again!”

“Nicole took the time to really gauge what Cocoa wanted each day. Some days all she wants is to play or get belly rubs and others she wants a long walk around the neighborhood. She always sent a report on how Cocoa was and what they did and included great pictures of her playing or getting pets. I couldn't recommend Nicole enough!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have experience caring for both small and large breeds. Back home, I have two dogs—a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Samoyed—and I’ve spent years walking them, playing with them, and making sure they get the exercise, attention, and care they need. I’ve also cared for smaller breeds, including Shih Tzus, so I’m comfortable adapting to different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or just wants companionship, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I work in research at Brigham Women’s Hospital and usually finish around 3–4 PM, so after that I have time dedicated to pet care. On weekends, I’m available for the full day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their routine and follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), and any special preferences. I understand that staying in a familiar environment helps pets feel comfortable and secure. I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship while keeping the home clean and treating it with the same respect I would my own. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and worry-free while you’re away.
About: I’m Melissa, your pet’s newest fan and soon-to-be best friend! As a lifelong animal lover with a passion for the scientific world of medicine, I’m actively pursuing a veterinary career 🐾👩🔬🩺 I’m a recent university graduate staying in Boston during my gap years so I’d love nothing more than to spend my new-found free time caring for your pet! I currently have no pets of my own at home but have spent years playing, watching over, and caring for family and friends’ pets, volunteering at animal shelters/rescue organizations, and learning more in-depth about animal behavior + biology through my college courses. Leaving your pet in someone else’s hands can be stressful for you and your fuzzy family alike and I’m here to do everything in my power to reduce that anxiety for you both. You can count on the most detailed updates including photos, videos, and calls (if requested) to keep you in the loop about what your pet is up to during your time apart, how they’re feeling, any new friends made, and more! I truly believe that communication is key and I will go above and beyond to ensure that you get honest, detailed, and reliable information while you’re away. Your pet’s happiness and well-being are always my top priorities, and I take pride in creating a safe, joyful environment for them. As someone who is dedicating their life to supporting the health and safety of all animals, I promise to love, cherish, and care for your cat or dog as though it were my own! I swear not only to do no harm, but to leave no head un-pat, no tail un-wagged, and no cat or dog lacking in loving care while under my watch 🥰 I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friends! My current WFH schedule is very flexible so I can care for your pet as needed. 😊 I’m available to provide frequent potty breaks and walks not just during a lunch break, but whenever you feel like they need a drop-in visit while you’re busy. I’m also more than happy to come by and visit, play with, and/or clean after your cats whenever you need. Whether you need morning, afternoon, or evening, I’m free to attend to all of their needs! Looking after your pet is not a responsibility I take lightly; I don’t believe there is such a thing as being “too careful” when it comes to safety! I’m very mindful of the objects, toys, and food items your dog and/or cat may encounter at home or outside. Any notes on behavior around other animals as well as potential quirks, triggers, or sensitivities are all incredibly useful things to let me know so I can keep your pet and myself safe during our time together ☺️ Safety and communication are always #1! (*I don’t provide cat or dog sitting/boarding services at my home currently)
“If you have an anxious dog who struggles in meeting new people Luis is the best sitter/walker. Luis is extremely empathetic, patient and very accommodating. He goes at your dog's pace! I was worried about leaving my dog with anyone since he is challenging to work with and Luis has greatly eased my concerns.”

“Mirabel was great walking my dog! She was able to last minute walk him while I was in a bind trying to get him a walk while I worked! Would recommend her!”

“Viktoriia is a wonderful and very caring dog walker! She walks my small shihtzu / yorkie every week. Viktoriia is always on time, incredibly thoughtful, goes the extra mile to make sure my dog is cared for and will always ask questions if she’s not sure about something. If you’re looking for a consistent and all round fantastic dog walker, Viktoriia is it! I can’t recommend her enough!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs, both larger and active like my lab and smaller dogs like my chihuahua mix. I’ve dog watched before, usually two dogs at a time. I’ve had to give oral medication while pet sitting as well. I have classes from Monday through Thursday until 2pm. I can always do a walk or drop-in on those days, but I’d only be available for overnights Thursday-Saturday. I usually care with a respect to what the dog needs. Some dogs need to play, get on a lot of walks, get their energy out. Others need a companion while there family is gone and just need some cuddles. Some are a mixture of both. I make sure to respect what the client requests, the dog’s basic needs, and the dog personality for care.
About: I have cared for my families two toy poodles since I was fifteen. More recently I have started to volunteer at an animal shelter and have learned a lot. I am currently home from college for the summer so I have a lot of free time. My best availability would be around 8am to 12pm, but I am very flexible. I have a fenced yard and I live in a small walkable community that does not receive a lot of traffic. I am good at following directions and take care of your pets the way you would like!
“Grace was wonderful! Very professional and caring. She took care of my Husky over the weekend which is no small task with such a high energy pup and she did better than I could have hoped for. I will definitely be using her again in the future and you should too.”

About: Growing up my home had all kinds of pets from bunnies to fish, but most importantly dogs and cats! I’ve grown up with various dog breeds from small to big. I’ve also helped care for dogs with anxiety, handled dogs with behavioral issues and familiar with walking large dogs. I’ve handled puppies and smaller breeds as well with bottle feeding and medication. I currently work for a dog toy company focused on making dogs happy! I often foster and volunteer when I can at local shelters. My love of animals goes beyond pets to fueling my mission to care for pets/rescues. I’m a graduate from Boston University currently here for the summer. I’m a social media intern for a small dog toy brand and work remote so I’m flexible with my time and hope to fill my free time by caring for pets! I’m openly available and ready at the whim to help in case you need a hand spontaneously! As a pet owner, I would treat all pets as my top priority just as I would for my own fur babies. I’ll be sure to send detailed updates, communicate thoroughly and be as helpful as possible to clients that could use an extra hand with their pets.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Brookline Village
Alissa is an amazing dog walker. We deeply appreciate how reliable and consistent she is, and how well she manages our dog with reactivity. She always comes on time and has been mindful of the summer heat when going on walks. Alissa has been an absolute asset to our family and we are wicked lucky to have her!!

Mirabel was so awesome! She helped me out last minute by walking Theo and even though he gave her lots of trouble by hiding from her at first, she was so patient with him and still took him on a long walk. She provided a thorough note and lots of photos which I greatly appreciated. 10/10 would recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
