“Shuhua is kind and very professional. Hermes ( my little Yorkie) was very happy with her. She is trust worthy and is a great communicator. I am sure Hermes is missing her companion ship. I will recommend her without any hesitancy. Thank you Sue.”

“Willow loved her time with Suzanne. Suzanne did a meet-and-greet in advance with us to learn about Willow. Then they spent their walking and playing and Willow was happy to come back and see Suzanne again!”

“Anh is absolutely amazing!! Our dogs have a lot of anxiety issues and codependency, so we were nervous about their first time staying with a sitter- but they loved going to Anh’s! She did an amazing job with them, sent adorable pics of them cuddling up with her and going for long walks, and it helped put our minds at ease to know they were so well cared for and comfortable with her! Anh is so sweet and her passion is evident. We will definitely be reaching out next time we’re in the area!”

“I was a Nervous parents because it’s first time to use rover but it turns out great experience . Our puppy Totori get to meet good dog friends and bond with Daria as soon as he met her Totori didn’t want to leave her place after day care and that tells us everything ! I will definitely ask her to take care of my puppy again”

About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I was in 5th grade. Whether I went to the owners house or they came to mine, I treated them with love and kindness. I’ve worked with little, medium, and big dogs, and they have been long term clients! People actually call me the dog whisperer! I work from home every day so i will be home with your pups! they can relax with me around the house or go out with me for errands or anything else! I treat them with love and plenty of play time! Dogs are allowed on our beds and furniture, so they will get lots of cuddles! I allow them to explore the house so they can get comfortable in the new environment and let them warm up to me so they are not scared. I have a big park just right across from me, I am in a very walkable neighborhood, so they will get great walks. I also have a big back yard they can lounge around!

About: I’m an experienced and loving dog sitter with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. As a lifelong dog lover and dog mom myself, I understand that your pup is family—and I treat every dog in my care with the same patience, attention, and affection I’d want for my own. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs through regular sitting, walks, overnight stays, feeding, playtime, and keeping them comfortable in their owners’ absence. I’m attentive to each dog’s individual routine and personality, whether they’re energetic and playful, laid-back and cuddly, or a little shy and need extra time to warm up. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, loved, and right at home while giving you peace of mind. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands! My schedule is dedicated toward pet sitting. I will spend the day with the pups. We usually go to the dog park twice daily along with an early morning walk. I allow the dogs to free roam my space. They are welcome on the couch and bed. There are several rooms for separation if needed.
About: What to expect for boarding/daycare: I guarantee 4 walks a day of at least 40 minutes to an hour (or longer) depending on the needs and energy levels of your dog. Your dogs will be extremely well taken care of, ensuring they have plenty of time devoted to walking, sniffing around, playing, and other forms of enrichment. I have spent my whole life working with and for animals. I work as a conservation biologist and have experience in animal rehabilitation. I also have a degree in biology and animal studies/behavior. Growing up, I lived on a farm and worked with and trained a variety of farm animals daily for 4H. I also have volunteered at my hometown animal shelter to raise and promote their cats and dogs for many years. Additionally, I spent much of my youth taking care of my families’ dogs and cats, and pet sitting for friends, family, and strangers. I am open to any and all kinds of animals at any age range. I have spent many hours nursing sick animals back to health, so I am well-trained in being patient and attentive to the needs of animals in my care. I currently work from home so I have a lot of time for high-energy dogs that need multiple visits/long walks daily or elderly pets that needs slower TLC at your home or mine. I live in a quiet building that would be good for watching skittish pets and have a nice park next to our building for walks and play. I am used to having animals so I keep the apartment very clean and never leave food out anywhere that animals may be able to reach.
“Emma was really great! She always sent me updates on how it was going and was flexible about timing with my work schedule. My dog is super shy but she warmed up to Emma quickly :)”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for years and have experience with all kinds of pups, from playful puppies to sweet seniors. I’ve been doing Rover for a while now and really enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. I’m responsible, attentive, and happy to follow each pet’s individual routine, whether that means lots of walks and playtime, extra cuddles, or simply keeping them company. I know how important it is to feel confident that your pet is in good hands, and I’ll always treat them like they’re my own. I’d love to meet your pup and help make your time apart as easy as possible! 🐾 I am currently a resident physician and will only be accepting pets on the days that I am working from home, so your pet will have my complete attention. I live in a one bedroom apartment, but love going for long walks and dog park visits! I'll never take more than 1 dog at a time and I don't currently have a dog of my own. Dogs are allowed on the couch and bed at my apartment.
“Alex is hands down the best sitter we booked with so far. She went above and beyond for our 6 month old puppy who was staying with her all day! She kept in touch with us very frequently all day and we received so many pictures of our puppy playing and cuddling with Alex’s dog! 100% recommend, we will be booking again!!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Brookline Village
This was our first shot with Rover, and we came in with a lot of questions and anxieties. We knew we made the right call when our 5-month old golden became comfortable with Maria at first sight. Maria was very warm, sent regular updates on our puppy, and came with a lot of good experience and tips - having had a golden retriever herself while growing up. We’re definitely going to repeat very soon. Thank you, Maria!! 🥰🐶

Complete this river review for me: Kaitlyn was excellent! She accommodated me last minute and was extremely communicative with me. Before booking, she hopped on a call with me so I could explain how to care for my pet. She kept me updated during the entirety of my booking by sending me pics, videos, and texts to let me know how my dog was doing. When I picked up my dog she was happy and healthy. I cannot recommend Kaitlyn enough and I’ll definitely rebook with her :)

Daria was amazing! She sent us tons of pictures of Dakiti throughout the day, and he looked so happy in every single one. She and Kova were the perfect match for Dakiti's energy, exactly what he needed. We can't thank Daria enough, and we'll definitely be booking with her again!

Laura was absolutely wonderful with Toffee! 🐶❤️ She was incredibly flexible and accommodating with both the drop-off and pick-up times, which made everything so easy for me. Her communication was great throughout the day, and she sent me pictures and updates so I knew Toffee was happy and doing well. She was also very patient and caring with Toffee, which I really appreciated. I felt very comfortable leaving Toffee with her and would absolutely recommend Laura to anyone looking for someone reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring with their pup. Thank you so much, Laura!

I felt so anxious dropping Nova off with an individual sitter for the first time. Even though it was a shorter afternoon care visit, Sreeya was very sweet and allowed me to see her place and backyard area where Nova would be staying. She sent me photos of Nova and assured me she did great. We will look to book with Sreeya again!

Alan and Ying were amazing!!! We were so grateful for their flexibility as we figured out our schedule for when we needed to drop Pear off and even more grateful for the incredible care they took of Pear. They were communicative and kept us informed of what Pear was getting up to and how she was doing, and Pear absolutely loved her stay with them.
Wonderful. Did daycare for a day for our aussie border collie mix for the afternoon and evening and she took him to the park and on walks and gave us updates. Accommodated our weird timing and made it really easy for us. Would 100% book again. Thank you so much!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
