What to expect for boarding/daycare: I guarantee 4 walks a day of at least 40 minutes to an hour (or longer) depending on the needs and energy levels of your dog. Your dogs will be extremely well taken care of, ensuring they have plenty of time devoted to walking, sniffing around, playing, and other forms of enrichment. *mostly boarding at the moment but please ask about walking/daycare/house sitting!* I have spent my whole life working with and for animals. I work as a conservation biologist and have experience in animal rehabilitation. I also have a degree in biology and animal studies/behavior. Growing up, I lived on a farm and worked with and trained a variety of farm animals daily for 4H. I also have volunteered at my hometown animal shelter to raise and promote their cats and dogs for many years. Additionally, I spent much of my youth taking care of my families’ dogs and cats, and pet sitting for friends, family, and strangers. I am open to any and all kinds of animals at any age range. I have spent many hours nursing sick animals back to health, so I am well-trained in being patient and attentive to the needs of animals in my care.

Highly recommend Kolin! He took fantastic care of my cat, Louis, and completely eliminated my travel anxiety. He was flexible with scheduling, communicative, and sent regular updates and photos. Louis had a great space to explore and hang out with Kolin and his roommate. He communicated concerns to me effectively. Louis was happy and ready to go when I got back—will definitely be booking him again!
Kolin put our anxious elderly dog at ease right away and was accommodating of his quirky ways, and was patient with Webster’s glacial sniff-walking speed. He even persuaded him to take his medicine— not an easy feat. Highly recommend!
Kolin was able to take our dog last minute for daycare. He was very communicative, asked all necessary questions prior to our booking. Our dog warmed up to him very quickly and made himself at home at Kolin’s. Will definitely book again!
Kolin was great with my dog! She has high energy and reactivity difficulties and he was great with listening to her needs and working with them. He provided tons of walks and exercise along with love and cuddles. He sent the perfect amount of updates and pictures so I knew she was in good hands. I would definitely book with him again!

Schedule
I currently work from home so I have a lot of time for high-energy dogs that need multiple visits/long walks daily or elderly pets that needs slower TLC at your home or mine.

I live in a quiet building that would be good for watching skittish pets and have a nice park next to our building for walks and play. I am used to having animals so I keep the apartment very clean and never leave food out anywhere that animals may be able to reach.
A typical day
I am very patient when it comes to walking dogs or taking care of animals. I find a lot of joy in learning with the animal how they like to be played with or how the like to walk. For example, at home one of my dogs likes to walk and run as much as possible on our walks, while my other dog would rather walk as slowly as possible and sniff everything in his path (also good enrichment!).
