About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was a kid and have always loved watching and walking my friends’ and family’s pets. I have significant volunteer experience at animal shelters and with service dogs in training and have been a sitter for my friends’ pets for my entire adult life. I am very flexible for July and August, with some occasional travel and conflicts of my own built in. I am happy to work out a time for you and your pets! I have experience caring for pets in others’ homes and ensure that instructions are all meticulously followed and to spend time meeting the needs of every animal I see.
“If you want the best sitter, then Julie is your person. She made sure that our shy senior kitty felt comfortable, and for the first time ever, she started to open up to someone else. I cannot recommend Julie enough!”

“Nicole was absolutely wonderful with our cat, Marx. Not only did she check in on him daily while we were away but she truly cared for him making sure he got plenty of attention, love, and mental stimulation in addition to the basics of food, water, and litter cleanings. Could not be happier in selecting Nicole to care for our family member.”

“Thank you so much to Molly for coming to see my cats. It was a last minute booking after my usual cat sitter had an emergency, so I was scrambling and panicked for a few days before Molly came by for a meet and greet. My cats instantly went out to investigate, which is rare for them, and over the next few days they (and my plants!) received wonderful care.”

“Neil and Yvette were fantastic. They were very understanding and accommodating when I had to leave on short notice. They cared for my cat well and followed all instructions.”

“Our dog Nala and Morgan got along great for her daily walks while we were away. The daily report cards we received gave us peace of mind knowing our girl was in good hands. Will definitely schedule feeding and dog walking with Morgan in the future! Thank you so much!”

“Liza truly went above and beyond to give the best care for our cat and to keep us updated every visit on how our cat was doing. With our cat recently getting diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, we knew we were in good hands as Liza has experience administering these thyroid medications. She also helped us manage the heat in our apartment during an extreme heat wave, and that meant everything to us. She is flexible, reliable, and really cares about making sure every pet is happy. We will be rebooking her every time!”

About: I am a lifetime pet owner to a dog and cat, Truffle and Izzy. Aside from growing up with animal siblings, I have also worked as a dog walker, for large dogs, a doberman named Zeke, and small puppies, a Portuguese water dog named Cleo, and a range in-between. I have also house sitted for dog and cat owners. I am a college student waiting for the fall semester to start back up again, so I am largely free! I am an early riser so getting those morning walks is no probably! As well, I am available for boarding most days of the week. At home, I am all about playing and hanging out with my dogs and cats. Being with animals all my life has allowed me to know when things are getting too rowdy or when a dog or cat just wants some space. I'm all for fun and games unless there are rules that need to be followed. A counter that is off limits, section of house, or a specific nighttime routine, and I am not playing around but being stern yet gentle.

“Sophia is EXCELLENT in all respects. She is very conscientious and amazing with dogs. She went above and beyond for us, addressing challenging issues in real time and responding flexibly when situations and needs changed. We are so grateful to have her caring for our dog!”

“Julia is literally the best!!! She looked after my cat over the summer and was so thoughtful! She bought him treats and toys and was such a great help! Will definitely book her again🥰🥰”

“once again, she was so wonderful! simon loves her, and the additional of our cat, kitten, who also patiently awaits her coming. i would recommend her to everyone!”

“Was incredibly attuned to my lil anxious Winston, provided consistent helpful feedback & was just overall a perfect pet sitter for my baby boy! I was nervous using rover for the first time, and Rachel exceeded my expectations & went above and beyond. Will be working with her again!”

“Nathan was great with our cats, it was clear they were really comfortable with him. We really appreciated his responsiveness and flexibility on short notice”

“Anna is a wonderful cat-sitter! She provides detailed updates and paid close attention to our cat’s needs to make sure she was as happy and comfortable as possible. She kept the food area and litter very clean. She took so many adorable photos. Our cat loved her and was calm and happy when we got home, a sign that she was very well taken care of.”

About: Hi! I’m Ren, and I’ve been an avid animal lover all my life! I’m a UGA graduate, with my Bachelors of Science in Animal Science. Outside of school, I have always had pets, and as the eldest child, I was always tasked with taking care of them. Growing up, my family had dogs, cats, and even lizards! And as if those weren’t enough, I starting riding horses on the side. I have previously worked as a veterinary assistant in several veterinary hospitals across the country and miss working with animals daily. I will take care of your animals as my own. Working at a vet’s office has shown me in depth about how to care for animals in a clinical sense, my schooling has taught me about the animals themselves, and my personal experience with animals has taught me how to love pets. I work from home most weekdays, which allows me a lot of flexibility in scheduling drop in visits or walks! Additionally, I have plenty of availability during the weekends. While I don’t provide in home boarding, I am very comfortable following your pet’s typical regimen in the home. Whether that regimen is being crated at night or sleeping in the bed, I will be sure to follow it.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Brookline Village
Liza was wonderful with my two cats. She was easy to work with and accommodating about minor scheduling changes (time to meet, request for an extra visit, etc.). She was attentive to detail and asked important follow-up questions to be sure she could take good care of my cats. Most importantly, she showed up when she said she would, won over both cats, and paid plenty of attention to them and gave me important updates. I can’t wait to book her again!

Most reliable, genuinely caring and competent cat sitter I have worked with in years! Can’t even imagine what I would do if we had to move and Leo was not around to look after my kitty when I am away. I have already written several reviews for Leo, but wanted to add another shoutout!

Nicole was an amazing pet sitter and extremely reliable throughout the three days she cared for my cats. She always arrived at the agreed time, stayed for the full 30-minute visit, and was very attentive to every detail. She carefully fed them and made sure their automatic litter box, water fountain, and feeder were all working properly. She also sent me plenty of pictures and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind and allowed me to enjoy my trip knowing my cats were safe and well cared for. I would absolutely recommend Nicole and would be very happy to book with her again!

Kira was an amazing cat sitter. While taking care of my cats for a week, she provided detailed updates and multiple pictures each visit. She also left everything clean and tidy. She is a very sweet, dependable, caring person who I highly recommend! Thank you for everything Kira!!

Jose provided incredible, consistent care for our sweet senior cat. He checked in on her daily for 3 weeks while we were away, paid extra attention to her cleanliness and nourishment, and provided reassuring updates and photos. We couldn’t be more grateful! Will book him again anytime :)

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brookline Village. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
