“Madison is amazing! She helped us out in short notice and updated me with every walk. Felt very comfortable having her walk my dog! Will definitely reach out to her again!”

About: I have a dog of my own and have had pets for 5 years! I love to give all of the dogs great care and spend time getting to know each and every one! I work from home with a pretty flexible schedule so I am able to spend time with your pup during breaks in my day or before I get started! I have a dog of my own but will not bring him when coming to care for yours! I am respectful of your space and your dog and follow whatever care instructions are required!
“Jenica is a fantastic dog caretaker! She took our German Shepherd Justin for a nice 60-minute walk today while we were out of town. She was completely professional with strong communication, provided timely updates and even stopped by earlier in the week for a meet and greet. I highly recommend leaving your dog in such good hands!”

“Amazing experience!! Took Sadie for a much longer walk (thank you soooo much). Did a group walk w/ two other dogs which is great for her to socialize since she thinks she’s queen bee. She’s certainly going to sleep well tonight! Thanks again :)”
“Katie was prompt, communicated very well, took great care of Nellie and even made sure she wasn’t out in the heat too long. Would book again and highly recommend!”

“Cassidy was wonderful. She was extremely responsive and flexible with timing. She took our pup, Olive, on a fantastic walk and got to see the sights. Olive came back happy and tired. We definitely recommend her and would work with her again.”

About: Hi, I’m Kate! I’ve grown up with dogs and have years of experience caring for family pets and helping friends and neighbors with dog walking and pet sitting. I’ll treat your pup like my own and make sure they have a safe and fun experience. I’m flexible and happy to work around your schedule and your dog’s routine! I’ll make sure your pup gets the exercise, attention, and care they need. Your dog’s safety is my top priority. I will follow your instructions carefully, keep you updated, and create a calm, positive environment where your dog feels happy and comfortable.
About: Neighbors have relied on me to take care of their pets when out of town for years. I love all animals and teaching dogs new tricks. I love puppies and can handle dogs that are a little wild but also love to hang out with my older dogs. I am currently working full time and would be available to help out during weekends and after work. I work from home Monday, Thursday, and Friday and would love to step outside during my lunch break to walk your dogs. I won’t be able to have your dogs in my home because my roommate has a dog of her own that we watch. But more than happy to come to yours!

“Pebbles was in great hands the entire weekend I was away. The communication was excellent - I got regular updates and always felt in the loop. His routines were followed perfectly, making the whole thing stress-free. Will definitely be booking again and highly recommend! Thanks, Elliot!”

“Owen was friendly and dependable. We went on vacation and Owen was able to interface with my mother in law to walk our husky. I would recommend Owen to anyone and will use his services again in the future.”

About: Family friends continued to ask my family and I if we would watch and care for their pets while they were away. After doing this multiple times, my parents began their own business of having a doggy daycare while I started my first semester of college. When I’d come home for breaks, I’d help them out by doing walking and drop-in visits for other clients they couldn’t get to. I found that I really enjoyed the time with these pets, and the rest is history. My family is honored to be "Star Sitters" back home on Rover. This distinguished classification is based on the quality of care, response rate of communication, and above all, real-life reviews from pet parents. Here’s the truth though, I’m not some college kid trying to make a couple of extra dollars on the side doing easy work. I genuinely find enjoyment and passion in dog-walking. Just like us humans, dogs need daily exercise and the benefits from that. As someone who is pursuing a doctorate degree in physical therapy, that is a concept that I am very passionate about. Your dog can’t be cooped up in the house all day, so let me take the ease off your shoulders and do what you sometimes don’t have the time for! Available for dog-walking and drop-in visits Please feel free to reach out with at questions at all. I am happy to help. I’m currently a DPT student at Northeastern University and am spending the next few years in Boston as I pursue my degree. Although school keeps me busy, I’m very efficient with my time, leading me to have gaps before/after school for me to take care of your Dog’s walking needs. Trust me, with school constantly putting me inside a lecture hall, I need to go outside and go for a walk just as much as your Dog does. When I was still living with my parents in upstate NY, they ran a doggy daycare business from our home. Many times I was tasked with walking, playing, and spending time with these dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds. The extended time I spent with these dogs lead me to understand that, like us, they have their own personalities and needs. So with that in mind, I’ve always tried to take that approach with any animal that I’ve had the pleasure to take care of.
About: Feel free to request me outside of my availability. Will say yes if I can! Love dogs and going on walks during the day to get out of the office. Good to walk around the city or go to a local park and play ball. Experience with dogs since childhood and has owned dog. Owner of a puppy until senior death. I am currently working Monday - Friday full time along with another part time job. Looking to get out of the office and be a part of a dogs life again without owning one (my apt doesn’t allow them). Cannot keep pets in my apartment. More than happy to go to your home. Please leave notes for best/preferred care for animal if needed :)

“Bethany is the best! My two large girls love her. We have a pitbull and rottie and she takes them both out at once and they have a blast! She is on time, rain or shine and has been a vital part of our lives over the past few months. Thank gosh for Bethany! 💕”

About: I’ve cared for the dogs of my family, friends, and neighbors since I was in kindergarten. My skills and passion for it have only increased with time! I work five days a week from 9-5. I can walk your dog after 6 pm Tuesdays and Fridays since I work from home these days, in addition to flexible hours on the weekends. I am mainly looking to dog walk, which I will accomplish by arriving early, following your specific instructions, and walking your dog with care. For dog sitting at your home, I will follow all instructions and give your dog my undivided attention.
“Lindsay was great! Really came through for me last minute. Gave my dog a great walk and made sure she got plenty of water on a hot day. Would definitely recommend her and will be using her again in the future for sure.”

Thank you, Julio, for taking such good care of my dog, Jessie! Julio is reliable, responsive, professional, communicative, and genuinely cares about the animals he cares for. He stepped in to help me during the summer months, when I was in a busy season at work. I never had to worry because I knew Jessie was in good hands with Julio. I highly recommend Julio for any pet care needs!

Alexandra was an absolute pleasure to work with! She followed all of my instructions carefully, especially regarding the special needs of my Shih Tzu, which I really appreciated. I felt completely comfortable knowing he was in her care, and I could tell he genuinely enjoyed his time with her, especially all the treats!

This was our first experience with a dog walker, and Emily was fantastic and went above and beyond what was expected. She has a great way of making puppies feel comfortable with her and you can tell she really cares! She sent us lots of pictures and a summary after each walk which made us completely at ease with the process.

Ashley was incredibly reliable and attentive when visiting Mabel for her walks! She was proactive about confirming each visit, communicated when she arrived and left, and always provided helpful updates. I felt confident knowing Mabel was in great hands with her. I’d absolutely recommend Ashley to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
