“I’ve heard great reviews about Chloe and my dogs clementines walks. She’s been great at doing short walks during the hot spells which I greatly appreciate!”

“Brooke is an excellent dog walker! I could tell from the moment she met my dogs, who are 2 high-energy rescues, that they felt at ease with her. She is professional, kind, and very skilled at walking my 2 crazy fur babies. We're so happy we found her!”

“Elliot walks my young large German shepherd mix twice a week . He’s great , arrives on time , feeds her when I request it and Daisy loves her . I would highly recommend Elliot to anybody looking for pet care”

“Emily is reliable, consistent, and flexible. She provides thorough updates of her walks with pictures and feedback. I trust her 100% to care for my one year old Maltipoo, Milo. Highly recommended!”

“Samantha is a great communicator and caretaker. Samantha is a regular dogwalker for my medium/large rescue lab/shepherd mix named Tofu, who has some level of anxiety. Samantha always updates me if there are changes in schedule or with Tofu’s behaviors during the walk. Samantha also asks questions and is attentive to Tofu’s needs, and has been building a positive consistent relationship. Thank you, Samantha for giving Tofu the exercise he needs!”

“Muller can be a little apprehensive about strangers and Alice was able to settle him down and get him on a walk. She is great, and we will definitely schedule walks in the future!”

About: I've grown up with and taken care of dogs since I was a kid. From tiny puppies to large lovable seniors, I've been around them all! I'll treat your pup with lots of scritches, belly rubs, and love like they're my own, all while maintaining the level of discipline you keep in your home. I'm comfortable walking on a leash, taking them to a dog park, or just hanging around at home watching whatever is on TV. Dogs are a comforting presence for me, and I'm eager to take care of yours. I'm currently unemployed and am job hunting as we speak, so my schedule is wide open! Whenever you need a caring, watchful eye over your pup, I'll be there. I live by a park, so if I'm dayboarding, there's easy access to green space. If I'm dog walking or dog sitting, I'll follow your lead. You know your pup best, so whatever rules or expectations you have, I'll ensure they're followed and maintained.
About: I have been a dog lover all my life! I recently moved to Boston from my childhood home where I grew up with 2 labs who I love more than anything. I have fostered over 30 rescue puppies from the streets of Aruba so I am familiar with puppy care as well as behavioral issues. In college I fostered and trained service dogs/puppies for a non profit. I work from home full time and love to get out and take long walks especially with a furry companion! I have experience walking dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels. I treat every dog like my own. I have experience with rescue dogs so I know the patience and respect it takes to earn a dogs trust.
“Michael is very responsive, flexible and dedicated. He gives me regular update and takes dog walking to the next level. You can tell that he enjoys it. I’m a repeat client ;)”

About: I've had dogs my whole life, and have been watching my friends 5 month old lab about 3-4 times a week since he has gotten him. I am off work for the summer so have plenty of time available to walk and watch dogs. I am very active and am hoping to take lots of walks when it's not too hot outside. I have a fenced in yard with a pool and a medium sized crate that can be used if necessary! The dogs love all the smells in my backyard!
About: I have several years of experience as a professional cat sitter, dog walker, pet sitter and doggie foster parent. I enjoy my clients going away as it gives me time to bond with their fur babies. I've worked at a Veterinary Hospital as a Veterinary Technician for several years now. Occasionally I do hiking trips in groups of 6 or less. Medication Administration is definitely something I am educated on and comfortable with doing as needed. I have experience with both small and large dogs. I always schedule a meet and greet prior to booking to make sure your pet and I are a great match. Love to hike, and explore, and find trails with the pups. Willing to work one on one with your pet and build a bond. I really do love working with pets it’s a passion of mine. My availability has currently changed, I am not approving new dog boarding requests . However, I am offering dog walking Monday through Friday at this time. For those of you seeking Cat sitting visits specifically , I do that Sunday through Saturday. I do have a fenced in yard, but we hike a lot. All dogs will be on a 20-30 ft long lead until proofed and consented for off leash. If I have any concerns and or questions, I will reach out time appropriately.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
