I am currently not working as I am searching for a job after graduating from my masters program! So I have lots of time on my hands. I’ll give your pet lots of love and care. I will listen to any reccomendations or specifications from their parents to best support and comfort them on their days alone.
“Belen kept us updated with photos and videos when she checked on our cat Paddington while we were away. She was very responsive and Paddington seemed to like her a lot. We are very grateful!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 14 for family, friends, and for friends of friends. I absolutely love all animals and would be thrilled to care for your pets and to treat them like my own I currently WFH full time. I have availability in the mornings and evenings as well as during lunch breaks and the occasional odd hours during the day given some notice. I am also available on the weekends. I live in an apartment where pets are certainly welcome for visits for shorter periods of time, but unfortunately it isn’t the best space for overnight stays. When it comes to your home, I am more than happy to follow any and all special rules or routines you and your pet have!
About: I’ve cared for the dogs of my family, friends, and neighbors since I was in kindergarten. I genuinely LOVE spending time with dogs and taking care of them and will always put their wellbeing and entertainment first. My remote work schedule gives flexibility for walking and drop ins for dogs, in addition to very accommodating and available hours on the weekends around South Boston, South End, Back Bay, North End, etc. Dog walking I will always be on time, alert, and take your dog on however long of a week for his or her enjoyment. For dog drop ins and sitting, I will give my undivided attention to your dogs needs and entertainment following any instructions.

About: experienced german shepherd owner of 5 years who has grown up around dogs! I love big and small breeds and won’t just walk/hang out with your pup, i’ll make sure they feel loved and safe while you’re away :) I WFH Wednesdays and Fridays (can do lunch walks in southie), and will be here most weekends, and would love to care for your pup! I can do stop ins, but won’t typically watch dogs in my own home due to lease restrictions. Very responsible with locking all doors and making sure your dog is safe

I have owned pets since I was 8 years old and I’ve been walking dogs and caring for pets since 1995, with a deep respect for their well-being. Your pet’s happiness, health, and safety are my top priorities — they deserve the very best! I’m a work from home professional that is an animal lover, and I don’t feel like my schedule allows me to have a pet of my own. While not traveling for work a few days out of the month, I’d love to make sure your four-legged family members have a reliable and caring solution while you occasionally cannot be with them. Happy to answer any questions! I have several references I can provide from folks in the immediate Boston area where I have cared for their pets while they are out of town for work demands in the short term or when they need to be in the office. Happy to be flexible between the midday hours and allow you to have a last minute or a fairly regular solution to your pets care needs.

Whether your pet needs a long walk, some extra playtime, or someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I’m comfortable with pets of all personalities and love getting to know each animal’s unique needs! My schedule is very flexible because I work remotely, so I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting throughout the week. I’m happy to work with each pet parent’s schedule and can often be flexible with timing. I’m also available for boarding and overnight care depending on the dates and needs of your pet. I take pet safety and comfort very seriously and always make sure pets are supervised, secure, and cared for according to their owner’s instructions. I’m comfortable caring for pets in my home or a client’s home and will maintain their normal routines as closely as possible. “Kyle did well. I reached to him at the last minute and he made it work. He kept me informed about Buddy the Cat with regular updates. Thank you, Kyle. I think the best compliment you can give is that I'd have him take care of Buddy again.”

“Madison was fabulous. My husband and I last minute had to be away, and she came and walked our dog and took care of her very last minute. She was so easy to communicate with, so friendly, and provided updates. Would recommend anyone looking for a sitter or walker to use her!”

“Katie was awesome! She went above & beyond while we were away on an extended trip (offered to grab packages / water plants) and her communication was excellent! I’d definitely recommend Katie to other paw-rents in Boston. The peace of mind from knowing Katie was close by & checking on our kitties daily was priceless! We look forward to booking with Katie again for our future Rover needs.”

“Lisa checked in on my cat Keke on short notice and was wonderful! She gave detailed updates with lots of photos and I came back to a healthy happy cat! I could tell Keke loved playing with her! I highly recommend Lisa for your pet care needs. Thank you!”

“Jessica was absolutely wonderful! She was extremely communicative throughout the whole trip, and Rick absolutely loved her — she was even able to brush out a knot in his fur (and he usually hates being brushed!). We will be using Jessica again! ❤️”

Emily was amazing! She took such great care of my puppy, especially while he was recovering from being neutered, and even made a point to give my cat some love during her visits. My puppy can be a little wary of new people, but he and Emily hit it off quickly, and he always looked so happy in the photos she sent. She is incredibly friendly, reliable, and clearly wonderful with animals. I would absolutely recommend her!

Alexandra filled in for us super last-minute due to a cancellation, and not only read through the list of what to expect with our dog / what we needed for a visit, but was patient with our dog meeting a new person, took extra photos, wrote up a through ‘report’ after the walk + visit, and was extremely responsive via messaging. Couldn’t ask for more!

Jasmine filled in last minute for me to come let my pups out while I was away in Rhode Island for a wedding. She was super communicative, very punctual and incredible communicator while she was with the pups midday. I appreciate her sending a thorough update and taking them out multiple times to go to the bathroom. I would love to have Jasmine back.

I am so happy I chose Tess to take care of my Fenway! I went on a trip out of country and last minute had to find someone to watch my miniature dachshund. For the past four years, I have only had family or close friends watch him, based on his behavioral issues. He has fear reactivity to strangers, children, and other dogs. It’s hard to find someone who is willing to take the time to learn his quirks and get on his good side, while keeping him safe. Tess did just that and more, which I am so grateful for! Tess gave me in depth updates on how their time together went and took the cutest photos of my fenway! I couldn’t recommend her more and will be booking with her again 1000%!!!!

Zoe is absolutely amazing. I can tell she genuinely cares about my pup and loves dogs. Zoe is responsive and even writes a detailed report of what they did and how he was behaving. She also takes so many cute pictures every time! Absolutely love having her take care of my pup :)

Madeline was amazing!!! She helped me out last minute with my puppy and gave me such peace of mind being able to come. She was incredibly attentive and detailed with her visit notes. She followed my over explained directions perfectly and my puppy loved her!! I would 100% book with her again, thank you Madeline :)

Anne was absolutely fantastic! From offering to stop by to meet my dog to sending thoughtful recaps of each drop in visit, she was nothing short of amazing. She was very responsive, took excellent care of my dog and even went out of her way to sweep up his loose hair in my apartment. My dog loved Anne from the second she walked in the door and really enjoyed his entire time with her. I would 1000% recommend Anne to anyone who is considering booking her for any type of service. She watched my dog over my wedding weekend, which you can imagine could be stressful. I felt completely stress free with him in her care and will definitely be reaching out to book with Anne again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
